Now, the new semester has begun for more than one week. I gradually adapt

to my new life in senior school. In senior school, my biggest feeling is busy,

for I have classes all the day and teachers leave us a lot of homework. In the

morning, I have two periods for morning reading, Chinese and English, beginning

from 7:00. After that, I have four periods in the morning and four other in the

afternoon. There are many more subjects than in middle school, Chinese, math,

English, physics, chemistry, history and so on. Sometimes, I am afraid of seeing

Ah! Christmas morning! Children like to wake up early while its still dark and sneak into the living room to check the presents----find any with their name on it, shake them to guess whats inside, and then maybe theyll go back to bed and pretend they are still asleep when their parents come to wake them with a "Merry Christmas!"

But almost no one I know gets completely dressed or eats a regular breakfast first thing Christmas morning. They just put on a robe or wear their pajamas and go to see whats under the Christmas tree. After the gifts have been opened, the room will be tidied up except where the children are playing with their toys. Everyone will wash and get dressed for the day.

Some people may go to a Christmas morning church service around ten oclock if their church didnt have one on Christmas Eve. But most people will just watch TV. Well, most men will. The children may play outside or inside with their new toys, but the mothers will be in the kitchen preparing Christmas Dinner.

The typhoon  is coming. It comes with the heavily wind and rains. This is my first time to see the wind so strong. I got sleeplessness on Sunday night. My family is just a typical Chinese family. Loving parents and me as the only child. Sometimes being the only child in a family can be a tricky business. For example, you attract too much attention from your parents because you are the only kid they need to care about. It really bothers me sometime when they constantly keep telling me to keep up with my study and to get good grades in school. However, I think my parents are doing what is best for me. They are always on my side. When I wanted to participate in the school student union election to become the chair of the student union, they were excited about this and helped me in preparing my speech and choosing what to wear on that election day. I also am grateful to them because theyve bought me a piano. I love music and although I was not happy to practice for 2 hours everyday when I was a kid, now I see why my parents kind of forced me to practice piano.
