Recently I have had a discussion about the ways to learn English better

with Jim, a student from Britain. In his opinion, the best ways are reading

English newspapers and talking with friends. He also believes that sometimes

seeing English films isnt a bad way.

I quite agree with him. However, I think, we can make flashcards. In this

I live in an ordinary family. Though my parents are not rich enough to buy

what I want, they give me the best thing. That is love. I have a rich friend.

Her name is Lucy. She always complains that her parents are too busy and don’t

have much time to play with her. So I am so thankful for the things I have. I

就先说说我们班这个大集体吧。作为一个集体，当然少不了团结了。为了同学们更重视团结，学校特地在每逢星期一升旗仪式时，宣布一周卫生好的班级，并发奖旗以资鼓励。这当然少不了一个班级的团结，一个人的不良卫生，会影响班级的整体荣誉。不仅这些学校还特地让我们小学生干一些力所能及的劳动，比如每个班级都有一些固定的劳动区域，这也是评比的一项。为了争到荣誉班级的称号，我们班上每天轮到值日的同学，总是早早离开温暖的被窝，来到学校就拿拖把、扫把、抹布争先恐后的干起来，不把自己的包干区打扫干净决不罢休。班干部也决不马虎，检查了一遍又一遍。其余的同学，哪怕不是值日生也积极的弯下腰，捡起脚下的纸片，拿起布，擦掉墙上的污迹，擦净饭桌上的米粒。在这种劳动氛围中，我们班级时时刻刻保持干净，因此，在每逢星期一的升旗仪式上，我们班常得到锦旗。

我们班级不仅卫生搞得好，我们的体育活动也开展的有声有色。每天下午做完操，都有一节体育活动课，我们同学们开始打羽毛球、乒乓球、跳长绳……。每年的校运动会，我班同学获得多项第一名、第二名的好成绩。

There was once a little boy called Guy, and he was eight years old. He was

in third grade; one day when he was at school, he found out that tomorrow was

picture day, and so he had got to take a shower. And before he even got to think

about picture day, his teacher Mrs. Creature, said that they were having a

project, and it was all about their family.

The teacher said, “This project shall be today’s homework, and I want it to

be perfect for I am going to tell your parents if you don’t do it.” Suddenly

Guy’s sister Cally stood up and said, “Mrs. Creature, is it okay that I finish

it on class?” “Sure thing Cally;” answered Mrs. Creature smiling, “But there is

only a problem, it is that you must let your brother copy this report on your

paper so that you could help him; then you will have to do another report of

your own, or you’ll both fail!”

Cally and Guy apparently got home, and Cally said, “Mrs. Creature’s hates

me…” “Yeah, it’s hilarious!” shouted Guy, “Let me just copy your paper and we’re

done, okay?” “Ugh,” replied Cally; She reached her hand into her hand, and

pulled out a piece of paper; and said, “This goes over every bone in my delicate

body, but, careful; it’s hand written,” then Guy asked, “Is this gold ink

paper?” then Cally shouted at him and said, “Anything happened to this paper and

your family history ends right here pal!” and then she walked to her room.

Guy walked to the sofa and said, “My running is fast, I have nothing to

worry about it;” then suddenly his father came with a paper shredder in his

hands and said, “Hey Guy, check out my new paper shredder and…” He had barely

finished when suddenly; Guy threw Cally’s report into the shredder by accident,

and “azuowenz!” like that sound, Cally’s report was shredded. Guy called, “No!”

then his dad was ashamed and said, “Oh, I guess it isn’t a good thing to walk

around with this thing turned on;” and then he ran off with his legs behind his

butt.

Suddenly, Guy’s body shook, and he turned into Shezow. He went to Sheila,

his, or her, super computer, and said to her; “What’s wrong Sheila, I’m kind of

busy around here and…”

“Dude, or should I say Shezow, this isn’t about your own business; because

there is an emergency out there.

After a breath Sheila said to Guy, “Mega monkey is on the attack, and

according to me he should be back in time.” Then Guy said, “Road trip! Time

traveling!” then he hopped into the sheicel and drove off to time travel… He was

excited.

She drove off right away. After that, she found some of the pass few

Shezows. At last Sheila said to Shezow, “My scan is lining up like dynamite,

follow that flapper!” shouted Sheila. Shezow followed it just as Sheila said,

and found herself in the 1920s; “Wow, it looks like the 1920s,” said Maze, Guy’s

brother. Then Shezow zoomed into a tornado.

When she opened her eyes, she found herself in 1924, the Shezow in that

time saved her world from Mega monkey that had escaped not long before, and

Sheila then said, “Quick, to the beginning!” then she allowed Shezow to drive to

the beginning where they might save the day…

Shezow at last arrived at the beginning, and she stopped in time. At first

a dinosaur was chasing her and was very, very frightened. But the Shezow in that

time saved her, she was grateful; then she found her or his or Guy’s report

there at the beginning Shezow’s lair…

The next day at school, when Guy’s report was handed out, he got an A+; and

when Cally’s report was handed out, she got an A-…

My good friends name is Zheng __, He is nine years old. He is almost as

tall as me. When he smiles, his eyes are always narrowed into a line, which

makes people feel very playful. He also has a eloquent mouth. He always competes

to answer questions in class and talks endlessly every time. He is very

knowledgeable and is a little doctor in our class. We all like him very

much.

We play games together, draw pictures together, do experiments together and

play flying flower order together. I remember once when we played the flying

flower order, we said to each other poems containing "Moon". At first, we said

one thing to me and you said one thing. It was a lot of fun! After about a dozen

sentences, Zheng Haoren got stuck. He touched his head and thought hard for a

long time, "if you cant say it again, Ill win!" "Im sure I can think of it!"

He didnt give up, and finally came up with a sentence: "the moon geese fly high

and escape alone at night." Look, this is the "little doctor" in our class, a

"little doctor" who refuses to admit defeat!

THE ONLY MAGICAL THING----Map There was only one thing in the world that

wanted to play, and that guy’s name was Jack. He wanted to be a pirate one day,

and found treasure in pirate islands… He had a conversation with his mother one

day for certain. It was about being a pirate one day for once in his

lifetime…

“Mom, I want to be a pirate one day, and find treasures in buried islands

and…” “Whoa! Hold there son, what do you mean by, you what to be a pirate?”

asked his mother, “Well it is that I just want to hunt for treasure instead of

just being a regular boy like usual…”

His mother laughed so very hard, “Then why don’t you ask the sorcerer of

the wicked castle?” his mother suddenly added, “What do you mean of: Wicked?”

“Well,” replied her mother, “It all happened in…” “Wait!” shouted Jack, “There

is no time for you to explain the whole thing, if you could show me this ‘Wicked

castle’ then I could be a pirate sooner or later.

And so his mother showed him a riddle clue, which had many words written on

it, “All you have to do is answer the riddles and you will arrive at your

destination;” so Jack took the map, and head out for the wicked castle

immediately, “Now let us see, two choices to make; which one is it that I need

to take?” then he suddenly felt a little twinkle among his eyes, he looked at

the map; “That’s it!” he opened the map and placed it upon him. “Now, I just

need to figure this one out.”

He read it out loud, “Choose the path that has round hard things the most…”

then he thought about it, he looked at each side; first, he checked the left;

“There is nothing very hard on this side, or even round!” the he checked the

other side, known as the right; “Look, there is a pile of rocks here, they are

very hard; and round, and there are plenty of them!”

He walked to the right, and then he went straight on. At last he came to a

big castle, it has many traps; and so Jack decided to use the map and find clues

so that he won’t get lost…

He first came to the front door, and then he opened the map, read the

riddle; “Watch out for the monster, with two pairs of wings; and come in the

spring, it is giant, I warn you…” then he answered, “The only flying thing that

has two pairs of wings is a dragon fly!” when he said “Dragonfly”

d-r-a-g-o-n-f-l-y; a giant dragonfly flew past his eyes!

“Whoa!” shouted Jack, he then read the riddle, “look around you; use the

one, as sharp as a knife;” Jack looked around himself, then he found a big sharp

needle; it was huge! He used all his might and picked it up, and then he sprang

it to the monster. The monster fell down immediately, as if dead.

Then Jack had beaten the giant ‘Dragonfly’d-r-a-g-o-n-f-l-y, he was ready

to see the sorcerer. He was casting a spell when Jack came in, he interrupted

him; and so the sorcerer shouted, “What are you doing stranger?” he asked, “Can

you make me a pirate?” “What! Nobody has ever done that spell before;

never!”

And so Jack had to keep on being a normal boy, he was satisfied sometimes,

but also was glad that he didn’t turn into a pirate. “The map is ‘the only

magical thing’ in this world…

Mathematics was too difficult for me, the teacher spoke so fast that I

could not understand. I failed every math exam, my dad was very angry, he

wouldnt let me watch TV, or let me go out, I was very sad. The math teacher

always asks me to go to the office and tell me the problem. I am not afraid to

make mistakes, because I can correct them. I keep practicing, speed up my

problem, and dont forget to preview and review. In the most recent exam, I

achieved excellent results in maths. A good learner has many good learning

i’m surprised this kind of thing should happen in your country. here in china parents usually take their children to all kinds of crash courses after class, which are supposed to help them get top grades in all exams. but in my family my parents treat me as their friend and won’t put too much pressure on me and allow me to develop my own interest in art, music and sports. so i’m pretty lucky in this aspect. i suggest that you have a heart-to-heart talk with your parents and tell them that they should set high standards, reward achievement but not punish poor performance. i’m sure they will understand you sooner or later.

我的名字叫高和祥，我长着黑眼睛、黑头发、黄皮肤，我的家在中国，我是个快乐的中国娃。

小朋友们，你们到过中国吗?中国可大了，这里有许多美丽的城市，每个城市一年四季都像一个美丽的大花园。中国还有许多浏览胜地呢!长城、天安门广场、奥运场馆鸟巢、水立方……名胜古迹说也说不完，都非常壮观。现在放暑假了，你们不妨请爸爸妈妈带上你们来中国旅游，相信你们一定会有很多惊奇的发现。

小朋友们，你们知道吗?中国人可多了，爸爸告诉我，中国是世界上人口最多的国家。56个民族就像亲兄弟一样非常团结、和睦，而且每个民族都非常热情好客，都有自己民族独特的人情风俗。告诉你们吧，我还是个大理白族“小阿鹏”呢!要是你来中国，来大理，热情的“小金花”会为你献上“白族三道茶”，可有意思了!

现在我们放暑假了，爸爸说要带我去许多美丽的地方旅游，我开心极了。有时我想，要是我能开飞机就好了，那样我就可以开着飞机接你们来畅游中国了!
