Saving Water

The world is not only hungry,but also thirsty for water. This may seem strange to you, since nearly 75 % of the earths surface is covered with water. But about 97% of this huge amount is sea water, or salt water. Man can only drink and use the other 3% -- the fresh water that comes from rivers, lakes,underground, and other sources. And we cannot even use all of that, because some of it is in the form of icebergs and glaciers. Even worse, some of it has been polluted.

However, as things stand today, this small amount of fresh water, which is constantly being replaced by rainfall, is still enough for us. But our need for water is increasing rapidly-- almost day by day. Only if we take steps to deal with this problem now can we avoid a severe worldwide water shortage later on. A limited water supply would have a bad effect on agriculture and industry. Let me give you just one small exampie of how necessary water is to industry. Did you know that to produce a single ton of steel, it takes about 91, 000 liters of water?

We all have to learn how to stop wasting our precious water. One of the first steps we should take is to develop ways of reusing it. Experiments have already been done in this field, but only on a small scale. For us, the systems are as important as the spacecraft.

典的事例。而在已有的知识里面融进自己的创新，青出于蓝而胜于蓝才是拒绝平庸的法宝。同样，在一个国家的发展当中，如果没有创新意识，不发展自己的新科技，而是一味得跟在别的国家后面捡现成，你就等着被别人揍吧。

平庸，并不是平凡的同义词。有很多平平凡凡的普通人，他们默默无闻地生活在我们的身边，但他们同样做出了不平凡的业绩。

雷锋，一个平凡而伟大的人，他做了一件又一件助人为乐的好事，每一件好事都很平凡，但所有这些的平凡却在我们面前树立了一个伟大的人!

让我们拒绝平庸，做一个对社会、对人类有贡献的人吧。

地球是我们的母亲，可是近年来灾难频频发生，母亲的血液也混浊不清，母亲的毛发也快没了，现在的母亲已不是那个美丽漂亮的母亲了，地球母亲日益的衰老，而这一切都是我们造成的。

母亲一直为我们默默的奉献着，可是忘恩负义的人们让污水横流，让一些土地寸草不生，让黄沙满天，母亲终于忍不住这种痛苦了，一向温文尔雅的地球绝了食。

这下好了，农作物颗粒不收，山洪。泥石流。地震。海啸。赤潮一个接一个的来了，人们终于意识到了保护环境的重要性。可是有些事不可挽救的了，虽然为时还不晚，可是如果到了地球马上要毁灭时的最后一滴水将是人类的泪水。

赤潮是我认为最危险的灾难，当然赤潮的诞生还要多亏了人类。赤潮也称红潮，赤潮是在特定的环境下，海水中的浮游植物。原生植物和细菌爆发性增殖或高度聚集在一起而引起水体变色的一种有害的生态现象。赤潮是一个历史沿用名，他并不一定是红色。

“赤潮”，被誉为“红色幽灵”，国际上也称其为"有害藻类"，赤潮是海洋生态系统中的一种异常现象。它是由海藻家族中的赤潮藻在特定的环境条件下爆发性繁殖造成的。海藻是一个庞大的家族，除了一些大型海藻外，很多都是非常微小的植物，有的是单细胞植物。根据引发赤潮的生物种类和数量的不同，海水有时也呈现黄、绿、褐色等不同颜色。

一是大量赤潮生物集聚于鱼类的鳃部，使鱼类因缺氧而窒息死亡；

二是赤潮生物死亡后，藻体在分解过程中大量消耗水中的溶解氧，导致鱼类及其它海洋生物因缺氧死亡，同时还会释放出大量有害气体和毒素，严重污染海洋环境，使海洋的正常生态系统遭到严重的破坏；

三是鱼类吞食大量有毒藻类。

赤潮发生后，除海水变成红色外，同时海水的pH值也会升高，粘稠度增加，非赤潮藻类的浮游生物会死亡、衰减；赤潮藻也因爆发性增殖、过度聚集而大量死亡。

赤潮是在特定环境条件下产生的，相关因素很多，但其中一个极其重要的因素是海洋污染大量含有各种含氮有机物的废污水排入海水中，促使海水富营养化，这是赤潮藻类能够大量繁殖的重要物质基础，国内外大量研究表明，海洋浮游藻是引发赤潮的主要生物，在全世界4000多种海洋浮游藻中有260多种能形成赤潮，其中有70多种能产生毒素。他们分泌的毒素有些可直接导致海洋生物大量死亡，有些甚至可以通过食物链传递，造成人类食物中毒。

善待地球就是善待自己，拯救地球就是拯救未来，这世界都是有因果关系的，种下善良就会得到回报，种下恶果就会得到报应。解铃还需系铃人嘛，停止吧快去拯救我们唯一的住所地球吧！！

选择出发

夏天的太阳像个大火炉，把大地烤得发烫，就连空气也是热的，人一动就浑身冒汗。我躲在山下的遮阳伞下，考虑着是否要出发。

“出发了吗?儿子。”老爸洪亮的声音传来。抬头，愕然，老爸竟然已快半山腰了。看着他手中挥动的红色太阳帽，我颤抖着提起脚。是的，我的心中滋生出登上山顶的冲动，但面对这炙热的阳光，我又收回了脚。

老爸离山顶越来越近了，我似乎已经听到了他登上顶峰的欢呼声。我再也按捺不住了，“不，我要出发!”

终于踏出了第一步，凭着一股子劲，我冲上了半山腰。天气闷热得要命，一丝风也没有，稠乎乎的空气好像凝住了。汗像断了线的珠子，顺着脸颊往下直流，我喉咙发痒，口渴难耐，拼命地灌下了半瓶水。

脚步渐渐慢了下来，脚像灌了铅似的，怎么也迈不开步，我没有力气了。休息，休息，我要休息。一屁股坐在了石阶上，我呼呼地喘着大气，豆大的汗珠浸湿了衣衫，一束束滚烫如开水的阳光刺过我的皮肤，疼痛不已，我感觉自己要虚脱了。路边的杂草抵不住太阳的爆晒，叶子都卷成个细条了。抬头看着密密匝匝的台阶，一股恐惧的暗流在逐渐侵蚀着我的心。“停止吧!”我的心在呐喊，心里紧绷的弦在慢慢松下来。

“儿子，既然选择了出发，目标就是终点。加油啊!”突然，耳边传来了老爸的助威声。我的心一颤，弦又一次绷紧了。

一阵微风拂过，给我带来了丝丝凉爽。我欣喜地站起来想要更多的风。眼前的一幕令我怔住了：四周树木繁茂，翠竹成阴;不知名的野花虽然热得耷拉着脑袋，却散发着特有的清香。深深吸一口，疲倦似乎缓解了不少。向下一看，竟然很多人都在尽力往上登，有些已经是将近花甲的老人了。心中不屈的火苗仿佛瞬间被点燃了，我握紧拳头，为自己加油说：“我可以的，我一定能到达山顶!”我又一次选择了出发。

这一次，我仿佛全身充满了能量，三步并作两步，“噌噌噌”地往上“飞”。“儿子，好样的!”老爸的赞许声清晰地响起。我惊喜地发现我离山顶只有一小段距离了。冲啊，我像运动员般地冲刺，10米，9米，8米……坚韧的脚步在延伸着顽强，执着的信念在迎接艰难的洗礼。最终，我到达了山顶，我胜利了。

站在山顶上，太阳还是那么毒辣，心中却是无比喜悦与满足。放眼望去，满山蓊郁荫翳的树木，湛蓝辽阔的天空，缥缈的几缕云恰好构成了一幅雅趣盎然的淡墨山水画。而我此时就身置其中，临风而立，“会当凌绝顶，一览众山小”的豪情便油然而生。

我很幸运，因为我选择了出发，才看到了最美的风景;我很自豪，因为我选择了出发，才品尝到胜利的喜悦。

在我出生时，爸爸妈妈就有一个梦想，等我长大以后，希望我能当一个航天员。所以我的名字中有一个“天”字。飞上蓝蓝的天空，探索宇宙的奥秘。我出生在上海，离机场很近，从小就喜欢看飞机，只要一看见天空中有飞机，我就拉着爸爸妈妈去看，我对妈妈说：“以后我要开飞机。”还记得妈妈那时对我说：“长大后要开飞机，那就先要把学习搞好，掌握本领。还要好好吃饭，不挑食，多锻练身体，才能当上飞行员。”

在我上幼儿园的时候，我就在电视上看到中国航天第一人杨利伟叔叔的故事，于是，我还记得晚上做了一个梦，梦见我当上了航天员，飞上了蓝蓝的天空，看见了像柳花一样的白云，还有数不尽的正在闪闪发光的星星，周围还飞着许多形状各异的火箭，而我站在一颗行星上。放眼望去，旁边我们居住的地球那么大，天空中的景色那么美丽，简直让我迷上了天空，一觉醒来，睁开眼才发现自己在床上，原来这是一场梦。

在我上小学的时候，放学后，我就喜欢让妈妈给我买拼的东西，回到家里，把作业写完之后，就立马把“飞机和火箭”所需要的零件组装起来，照着说明书的样子去拼，有时拼得连饭都忘了吃了，越拼就越有劲，直到拼好和包装上的几乎一模一样时，我才松了一口气，别提多开心了，感觉就像在飞机和火箭制造厂制造了一架飞机和一架火箭。拼完后，我立马把自己拼好的飞机和火箭拿给妈妈炫耀：我会制造火箭和飞机了。妈妈也跟我笑了起来，顺便还摸了一下我的头。我从这时感到自己功劳特别大。

还有一次，在放寒假的时间里，妈妈每天总是带我去附近的图书馆，我就专门在图书馆里面找科学书。虽然书上有很多的字不认识，但是看着图片舍不得回家。

就这样，航天梦在我的心中生了根，发了芽。我想长大以后成为一名航天员，去探索未知的宇宙奥秘。我想，现在一定要好好学习，空闲时多看一些书，多了解一些这方面的知识，为我的航天梦打下坚实的基础，也许在不久的将来，太空飞船里的一位航天员就是我。

有梦想才会有动力，让我为实现自己的梦想而努力吧!

我长大了之后才突然明白，要当上航天员一点儿也不容易。首先要做到：第一，好好学习;第二，要努力锻练身体;第三，学习成绩保持优良，不偏科。只有这样，才有可能真正意义上成为一个合格的航天员，才能努力地实现我的梦想。我还要学习航天精神，从小锻炼强健的体魄，养成良好的品德，磨练勇敢顽强的意志，克服各种挫折，用乐观进取、积极向上的精神迎接未来的挑战，来实现我的航天梦。

It is obvious that we should do something to protect our earth. Because we have only one home.

We should try our best not to pollute the environment and appeal the people around us make their effort to protect our unique home.

近年来，环境污染问题越来越严重。

空气污染，噪音污染,水污染是在报纸上随处可见。

很明显，我们应该做些什么来保护我们的地球。因为我们只有一个家。

我们要尽量不污染环境，还要呼吁我们周围的人努力来保护我们唯一的家园。

Once man did not have to think about the protection of his environment。 There were few people on the earth， and natural resources seemed to be unlimited。Today things are different。 The world has bee too crowded。 We are using up our natural resources，and polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals。 If we continue to do this， human life on earth will not survive。 We realize that if too many fish are taken from the sea， there will soon be none left。 Yet，with modern fishing methods， more and more fish are caught。We know that if too many trees are cut down， forests will disappear。 Yet， we continue to use powerful machines to cut down more and more trees。 We see that if rivers are polluted with waste products， we will die。 Yet， waste products are still put into rivers。

过去，人们不必担心保护环境的问题。因为那时地球上人口稀少，自然资源似乎取之不尽。如今，一切都改变了。世界变得拥挤异常。我们正在耗尽我们的自然资源，有毒化学制品的使用也正污染着环境。如果我们继续这样下去，地球上的生命将不复存在。我们都明白如果从海里捕捉太多的鱼，海里就不会再有鱼了。可是，现代化的捕鱼技术使得捕鱼量越来越大。我们都明白如果砍伐太多的树木，森林就会消失。可是，我们仍旧使用强大的机械砍伐越来越多的树木。我们都明白如果河水被废弃物污染的话，我们仅有死路一条。可是废弃物仍然源源不断地进入河里。

We know that if the population continues to rise at the present rate， in a few years， there won＇t be enough food。What can we do to solve these problems?If we eat more vegetables and less meat， there will be more food available。 Land for crops feeds five times more people than land where animals are kept。Our natural resources will last longer if we learn to recycie them。The world population will not rise so quickly if people use modern methods of birth control。

我们明白，人口继续照此刻这个速度增长的话，不出几年，就会发生食物短缺。我们该如何解决这些问题呢?如果我们多吃蔬菜，少吃肉类的话，我们就会有更多的食物。因为同样大小的土地如果种庄稼的话会比养殖动物多养活五倍多的人。如果我们学会再利用的话，自然资源就能持续更久。如果人们使用现代化的生育控制方法，世界人口就不会增长如此迅猛。

Finally， if we educate people to think about the problems we shall have a better and cleaner planet in the future。

最终，如果我们能够教育人们都意识到这些问题的话，未来我们就会有一个更好、更洁净的星球。
