Confucius-commemorating rituals are equally crucial. We should make our utmost

efforts to preserve intangible heritages because, without their physical form of

existence, they are in greater risk of extinction.

According to UNESCO’s Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible

Cultural Heritage (2003), all forms of social customs and habits, folklore,

performing arts, rituals, oral traditions, festivals, traditional crafts and

various knowledge and practices about nature and universe can be classified as

intangible cultural heritages. As a country consisting of a great diversity of

ethnic groups and with time-honored history and civilization, China abounds in

intangible cultural heritages. Cultural heritages connect modern people with the

historical past, allowing them to acquire a cultural and historical identity.

Without cultural heritages, we would be rendered absolutely rootless and we

would find it hard to cope with challenges at present and in the future.

However, the modernization process poses mounting threats to intangible

heritages. Many people have a blind faith in the latest electronic devices. It

is also pathetic to see elderly people in possession of such legacies pass away

without transmitting them to the younger generation. Faced with those

challenges, we should both preserve and renovate our ancestral heritages so that

we can help contribute to the cultural diversity of the world and return to our

spiritual homeland in this age of impersonal science and technology.

Animals are our friends. Although some of them are very dangerous. But I think we should help them. Animals are important for every people. No one can live without animals. So, we should do someting for them. We cant kill them too many, we should keep the balanced nature. Dont damage any animals. And if you have a pet, than, please feed it well. Animals are friendly to us, if we are friendly to them. Animals will be our friends forever.

自从人类祖先诞生后，地球就像一位和蔼的母亲，用自己甘甜的“乳汁”和无私的奉献，精心地哺育着人类，地球能满足人类的需要，但满足不了人类的贪婪。

保护地球就是要从保护我们赖以生存周围环境做起，提高保护环境意识，防止环境污染是每一个人的责任。然而在我们的家乡就有那么一些人，为了自己的利益乱砍乱伐，小鸟没有了树木，造成风沙肆虐，还有一些人把生活废水，工业废水，油污以及有害物质，毫无顾及地排入我们的母亲河——松花江中。原本清澈见底的江水，也变得混浊了。鱼儿稀少了，造成了严重的水污染，还有一些供热站和汽车排放的烟尘，各种白色垃圾以及乱扔果皮壳，随地吐痰造成了空气污染。要想解决这些环境污染，小到一个城市，大到一个国家，必须提高人们的环保意识和素质，养成了良好的习惯，这样才能有个优美的环境，使水更清，树更密，天更蓝，空气更新鲜，才能让地球生机勃勃，让我们的家园更温馨。

地球属于我们人类，属于我们大家，只有我们的双手，从我做起，从人人做起，保护环境，爱护地球的自然环境，地球才会造福于人类。

I have a grandpa, he is nearly 70 years old, it sounds old for him, but in his heart, he is really young. Two years ago, when I was in summer holiday, I went back to hometown and visited him. 环境问题是由于人类不合理地开发和利用自然源所造成的。触目惊心的环境问题主要有大气污染、水质污染、噪声污染、食品污染、不适当开发利用自然资源这五大类。一个个铁一样的事实告诉我们，它们像恶魔般无情地吞噬着人类的生命。它威胁着生态平衡，危害着人体健康，制约着经济和社会的可持续发展，它让人类陷入了困境。

以前，天空是那么蓝，河水是那么清，森林是那么密，就在自然环境给予我们美的享受的同时，人类同样在向大自然索取并不应得的东西……

1998年，流经中国大地的长江、嫩江、松花江等大将大河，隐去往日温柔美丽的笑脸，露出了凶猛可怖的狰狞。肆虐的暴雨，横扫着中国的南方和北方，暴雨所到之处，江湖水涨，河沟漫溢。咆哮的江水卷起了一次又一次洪峰，吞噬了一个个村庄，一亩亩良田，一座座城市，一所所学校。

肆虐的洪水像一只只无情的魔爪，几千万亩良田被淹，几百万人痛失家园。来势凶猛的洪魔，酿造大大小小的险情。来势凶猛的洪魔，酿造大大小小的悲剧。

我常常看见街边有许多橘黄色的垃圾箱格外引人注目，它的出现一时方便了这一街的居民。但不知从哪天起，垃圾箱被冷落了，另旁的电线杆却颇受欢迎，电线杆下每天都会围满大大小小的垃圾袋，一天，叔叔提着一袋垃圾很随意的扔在垃圾堆中，一旁的我不禁问道：“为什么扔在这儿呢?”回答很简单：“因为大家都扔在这儿，方便。”

方便?我有些纳闷了，电视。广播。报纸不天天都在宣传保护环境，防止污染吗?这样图方便。省事，随地乱扔垃圾算不算环境污染呢?可能在这些图方便的人看来，工业排放废气。废水是污染，而小小的一袋生活垃圾算什么?要知道单就我们中国十三亿人口，每人每天都只丢一点垃圾，那一天就有十三亿点垃圾啦!那一年呢?想想看，这是多么可怕的一个数字啊!在学校附近的马路边上插上“禁止喇叭”的牌子，这些人类善良的举动已摆在眼前，但是在它们的背后却是继续污染。所以治表不治里是没有什么意义可言的，我们要的是实实在在的针对与硬措施。

有人认为环境乃小问题，实际上，随着社会的发展，时代的进步，环境问题已是一个涉及全局的战略性问题。保护环境与我们国家。社会和人民的根本利益密切相关的，它直接制约着我国经济和社会的可持续发展，关系着中华民族的世代繁荣昌盛，关系着整个人类的生存和发展。

给水以家园，给万物生灵以家园，人类才会有自己的家园;给水以活路，给万物生灵以活路，人类才会有生存和发展。让我们唤醒“绿色之心”实施“绿色计划”，开展“绿色行动”，争做“绿色建设者”，创建“绿色新世纪”吧!

我们大家都知道地球只有一个，所以我们应该保护地球，可是现在有人破坏环境，比如，过度放牧，滥伐树林，围湖造田工业污染、噪音污染、垃圾污染等，下面我来说说，典型事例吧！

1990年后则有157起赤潮和石油类污染对水质和水生生物有相当大的危害。短期接触二氧化硫浓度0。5毫克/立方米，空气对老年或慢性病死亡率增高，浓度高于0。25毫克/立方米，可使呼吸道疾病患者病情恶化。长期接触浓度为0。1毫克/立方米空气的人群呼吸系统病症增加。

赤潮是没有经过处理工业废水肆意排放到河流中造成的后果。空气污染是废气不经过处理排放到空气中，这些是破坏环境的行为，但是现在人们还没有意识到这一点，这真令我痛心。

出行尽量上下学步行，不开车，购物不用塑料装，多用布袋装。这些看似微小的行为也是在保护环境，保护环境，无小事，从我做起。
