地球“发烧”了！听到这句话，大家一定会感到十分奇怪。其实，地球的确在“发烧”，近几年来，气候变得越来越暖和；南极和北极的冰川大量融化，使海洋的“势力范围”不断扩大。再这样下去，很多原本是陆地的地方就会沉没到大海里，一些病菌也会变得格外活跃，危害人类。地球“发烧”还会带来暴雨、狂风等恶劣的天气，破坏人们的生活和家园。可是，地球为什么会“发烧”呢？原来，由于人们在生产和生活中要使用大量的石油、煤和天然气。这些燃料在燃烧时，会产生大量的二氧化碳。过多的二氧化碳聚集在地球大气中，就像玻璃笼罩一般，让我们的热气进得来却很难跑出去。其实，我们可以把家里所有的电器每天关掉一小时。这样，虽然一家省下的电不够多，但火力发电厂就可以少烧很多煤，放出来的二氧化碳也会少很多。

拖住荒漠的脚步

春天里，我们享受着春天的美丽。可是在我国北方的春天有时会发生沙尘暴。当沙尘暴来临时，漫天沙尘滚滚而来，弄得人们灰头土脸的。而这些沙尘暴都在荒漠里发生。有些荒漠是自然形成的，而有些荒漠却是人类不合理的活动造成的。比如人们大片大片的砍伐森林，开垦农田，放牧牲畜，破坏了大自然的环境。荒漠便乘虚而入，抢占这些土地，让土地变成荒漠。想让这些土地变回原来的样子，关键是要种树。因为树可以抵抗沙尘暴的“攻击。相信这样，我们的家园一定会充满绿色。沙尘暴和荒漠一定也会随之而消失。

My Friend-我的朋友

John is the most diligent student in our class. He is one of my friends. As a matter of fact, he gets along with his classmates. He might spend just five to ten minutes talking to you once in a long while, but he talks with enthusiasm and energy, and he likes to share his thinking and ideas with you. He is honest; he does not like to waste his time and energy. He never appears sleepy and tired in the classroom. He always hands in homework on time and also does well in his examinations, yet he has time practicing playing football and his violin skill. I admire him. foreign people come to China to seek for cooperation. It is true that peoples

smaller and the rubbish can be seen everywhere. I feel so sad about it. We have
