绿色植物是人类的恩人，它吐出氧气，让人们吸收新鲜的空气。森林是大自然的清洁工，在保护环境方面，森林的生态效益大大高于直接经经济效益。海南，四周环海，它就是靠森林的保护，才不会被汹涌澎湃的海水淹没的。像古巴比伦一样，由于人们长期滥代森林、过度放牧、陡坡种植，使两河上游的高原发生了严重的水土流失，所以才被泥沙掩了。你看，难道这不正是大自然的惩罚吗？

是的，绿色和人类有着密切的联系。如果谁惹怒了它，它也会无情地惩罚你。绿色对于海南至关重要。思格斯说：“不要过分陶醉于我们对自然界的胜利。对于每一次这样的胜利，自然界都报复了我们。”的确如此，它为海南创造了巨大财富，装点了海南，点化了环境，有了绿色，一切都生机勃勃。可人们不断破坏，绿色迅速消失。如果失去森林，地球生态系统就会崩溃，人类就将无法生存。为了我们的生存，我们的财富，我们的南方明珠——宝岛海南，我们必须保护着宝贵的绿色！

很多人都知道“绿色生命之源，是人类赖以生存的条件”。但又有多少人是有一颗保护绿色的心呢？我觉得，在我们海南，没有几个人是真心真意地热爱大自然，保护绿色的。因为在我们身边，都会看到成千上万的人都是为了自己的利益，肆意破坏身边的自然绿色，为了获得财富，他们不惜损失海南最宝贵的绿色来达到自己的目的。但他们又何曾想过，他们失去的何止是财富，他们更在损害自身的健康！
