于是我十分肯定地告诉这位家长，课外阅读不会影响孩子的成绩。首先，这个孩子没有在课堂上听讲时看课外书；其次，这个孩子每次的作业都能认真完成，并没有因为课外阅读而影响学习。看课外书，只要不过度，和复习、成绩并不矛盾。

在这里我还想和这些有顾虑的家长多说几句：良好的阅读习惯是孩子一生的宝贵财富。且不说人类最伟大的智慧是来源于书，传承于书的。也不说读书对人的一生有多大的影响，即使是从应试的角度看，反对学生在复习期间进行课外阅读也是不明智的。

大家都了解，现在的语文试题一般都有三大部分——基础知识、阅读理解和作文。除了基础知识有可能靠死记硬背拿点分外，阅读理解和作文这两部分都是检测学生语文综合素养的。而学生的语文素养除了平时课堂上的训练之外，最主要就是依赖于海量的阅读，而很难靠短期的集中突击去拿高分。就因为它的综合性太强，所以它考的是一种能力，而不是死的知识。学语文必须靠平时的积淀，语文课本上的内容只是一部分，老师是根据教材上的内容教给孩子学习语文的方法，以及如何去思考。要想真正学好语文，不进行课外阅读的话，对于阅读理解题和作文，学生肯定做不好，也许从目前来看，课外阅读对提高分数还没有家长所期盼的那种立竿见影的效果，但从长远考虑，只有进行大量的课外阅读，孩子的语文成绩才能走得更远。
