The world is not only hungry,but also thirsty for water. This may seem strange to you, since nearly 75 % of the earths surface is covered with water. But about 97% of this huge amount is sea water, or salt water. Man can only drink and use the other 3% -- the fresh water that comes from rivers, lakes,underground, and other sources. Thank you very much for your concern. Last months several places in Beijing were blanketed with thick yellow fog. Everything around disappeared from oursight. Some highways were closed. Traffic jams were commonly seen in the streets. Many people, especially children and seniors, even found it difficult to breathe. As a result, local hospitals were crowded with people who had problems with their noses and lungs. Part of the cause was the dry weather, but the severely damaged environment contributed a lot to this nightmare. Personally I didn’t get any health problems in the haze because I stayed mostly indoors.But to make a significant change we really have to do more to protect our environment. livelihood。 In other words， money is so useful that it is impossible for mankind

工业污染是指工业生产过程中所形成的废气、废水和固体排放物对环境的污染。污染主要是由生产中的“三废”（废水、废气、废渣）及各种噪音造成的，可分为废水污染、废气污染、废渣污染、噪音污染。

这些污染带给我们的危害数不胜数。如：工业生产中排放大量未经处理的水、气、渣等有害废物，会严重地破坏农业的生态平衡和自然资源，对农业生产的发展造成极大的危害；工业“三废”对工业生产本身的危害也很严重，有毒的污染物质会腐蚀管道，损坏设备，影响厂房等的使用寿命；环境污染，公害泛滥，直接危害着广大人民群众的健康；有些污染不容易发现，发现以后造成的危害已经很严重……
