As a chinese, I was really ashamed of having a little knowledge of dragon boat festival. Perhaps I was born in northern city, though my city is nearby sea, it has been built a U port which I can only see cargo ships and cant see the sweeping ocean. So I have never see the dragon boat contest since I was born. So the dragon boat festival is just a holiday for eating Zong Zi. My mother made Zong Zi when I was a child. The boat festival began to fade out my mind.

Duval, Armands father, came to her, pleading for her to leave Armand to save both Armands reputation and that of his younger innocent sister, Marguerite saw a way to become pure of heart, if not in body. She felt that it was her duty, because she loved Armand so much, to do this even though it meant giving up her own happiness and hurting Armand temporarily. She reluctantly returned to her former life, knowing that some day Armand would forgive her. Sadly, she died in debt and basically alone, except for her one female friend, Julie Duprat, who helped her during her illness. She had her journal sent to Armand after her death, explaining why she had made the choices she had. I feel it a great honor to have a chance to give a speech here, talking about the haze weather, which causes lots of bad effects on our health and life. We breathe polluted air, making us suffer from lung and liver diseases. Besides, because of it, the flights have to be canceled. All kind of transports may run into each other, resulting in much damages and lots of injuries.

As far as I am concerned, it is high time that we did something. As individuals, we should ride the underground or buses instead of cars to reduce carbon dioxide. As government, more measures should be taken by carrying out the related law on pollution.

In summary, we re all looking forward to breathe fresher air and live a happier life. Everyone should be a part of this job.

这不，我们家也赶上潮流，玩起了“垃圾分类大作战”的游戏。游戏规则：每人面前有一个用水笔写上垃圾名称的乒乓球，地上放了四个垃圾桶，分别标有“干垃圾”“湿垃圾”“可回收垃圾”“有害垃圾”。如果谁扔错，谁就要表演一个才艺节目。

首先上场的是我，我在地上拾起一个小球，一看，上面写着“粽叶”二字，我毫不犹豫地放入了“湿垃圾”当中。但是，奶奶却用手指给我比了一个大大的×，原来呀，这个粽子叶不易腐烂，所以应该分在“干垃圾”之中。我答错了，只好从抽屉中拿出一张纸，装模作样地打着快板说起了绕口令。

第二个上场的是妈妈，她充满自信地从地上拾起一个球，可当她看到上面的字，眉头就耷拉下来了。我凑上去一看，原来是“尿不湿”。我捂着嘴笑了起来：这回看妈妈怎么办。妈妈在“干垃圾”和“湿垃圾”两个垃圾桶间徘徊了好久，最后犹犹豫豫地放入了“湿垃圾”中。“哈哈，妈妈也错啦！”奶奶公布了答案，“尿不湿”属于“干垃圾”。妈妈只好唱歌给我们听。

The 15-Day Celebration of Chinese New Year

The first day of the Lunar New Year is the welcoming of the gods of the heavens and earth.Many people abstain from meat on the first day of the new year because it is believed that this will ensure long and happy lives for them.

On the second day, the Chinese pray to their ancestors as well as to all the gods. They are extra kind to dogs and feed them well as it is believed that the second day is the birthday of all dogs.

The third and fourth days are for the sons-in-laws to pay respect to their parents-in-law.

The fifth day is called Po Woo. On that day people stay home to welcome the God of Wealth. No one visits families and friends on the fifth day because it will bring both parties bad luck.

On the sixth to the 10th day, the Chinese visit their relatives and friends freely. They also visit the temples to pray for good fortune and health.

The seventh day of the New Year is the day for farmers to display their produce. These farmers make a drink from seven types of vegetables to celebrate the occasion. The seventh day is also considered the birthday of human beings. Noodles are eaten to promote longevity and raw fish for success.

On the eighth day the Fujian people have another family reunion dinner, and at midnight they pray to Tian Gong, the God of Heaven.

The ninth day is to make offerings to the Jade Emperor.

The 10th through the 12th are days that friends and relatives should be invited for dinner. After so much rich food, on the 13th day you should have simple rice congee and mustard greens (choi sum) to cleanse the system.

The 14th day should be for preparations to celebrate the Lantern Festival which is to be held on the 15th night.
