这些仁人志士中，让我记忆最深刻的就是我们浠水的骄傲，坚定的民主战士闻一多先生。他的一生是伟大的，无时无刻不在为民族的危亡和民主做斗争。他曾经说过：青年可以先将中国变成一个有声的国家，大胆地说话，勇敢的进行，忘掉一切厉害，推开了古人，将自己的真心话发表出来。所以在李公朴先生遇害的追悼会上，他毫无畏惧，拍案而起，在没有任何准备的情况下慷慨激昂的发表了《最后一次演讲》，痛斥国民党特务。他讲到：我们有这个信心：人民的力量是要胜利的，真理是永远存在的。我们不怕死，我们有牺牲的精神，我们随时准备像李先生一样，前脚跨出大门，后脚就不准备再跨进大门了!最后，闻一多先生在返家途中，突遭国民党特务伏击，以生命捍卫了民主。但一个战士倒下了，会千千万万的战士再站起来，他们不畏流血牺牲，前赴后继，我们的我祖国才有今天的繁荣昌盛。

yesterday my mother and i went to the east lake about 40 kilometreseast of the city. i had a good time there.

we left home at seven oclock in the morning, and it took us about an hour to drive there. then we got to the lake. oh, how large the lake was!there were many green trees and red flowers around it. we got on a small boat and rowed it. the sky was clear and the breeze touched our faces softly. i sang while rowing the boat.after we had lunch in a small restaurant, we returned home. i really hope to go there next spring!

The sea

What do know about the sea? Some people have seen it but others havent. The sea looks beautiful on a fine sunny day and it can be very tough when there is a strong wind. What other things do you know about it? Of course, the sea is very large. In the world there is more sea than land. If you have swum in the sea, you know that the sea is salty. Rivers carry salt from the land into the sea. Some places of the sea are saltier than the other places. Do you know the Dead Sea? It is so salty that you can sink when you are in the water! And fish cannot live in it!
