My Mother is a kind of gentle woman. She is always very gentle. She takes

good care of her children and keeps them all at school. I have one brother and

two sistets. So she gets four children in all. She gives us every comfort. We

all love her and she loves us also.

My mother has too much to do in bringing us up. As our family is too poor

to keep a servant, my mother has always to do very much work. She gets up very

early and sleeps very late every day. She works hard, yet without

complaining.

She is also a thrifty, and industrious woman. She saves every cent that she

can and keeps everything in order. As she has been busy eversince she was young,

she looks older than she really is. Her face is wrinkled, her hair becomes

silver white, but she works as hard as ever.

Often she says to us, "work while you work, play while you play. If you do

not work, you will become lazy and of no use to society." What piece of good

advice this is! We must worth it well and always keep it in our mind.

Thanksgiving Day in America is a time to offer thanks, of family gatherings and holiday meals. Atime of turkeys, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. A time for Indian corn, holidayparades and giant balloons.

Seeking abetter life, the Separatists negotiated with a London stock company to financea pilgrimage to America. Most of those making the trip aboard the Mayflowerwere non-Separatists, but were hired to protect the companys interests. Onlyabout one-third of the original colonists were Separatists.

The Pilgrims set ground at Plymouth Rock onDecember 11, 1620. Their first winter was devastating. And the remainingcolonists decided to celebrate with a feast ——including 91 Indians who had helped the Pilgrims survive their first year. Itis believed that the Pilgrims would not have made it through the year withoutthe help of the natives. The feast was more of a traditional English harvestfestival than a true “thanksgiving” observance. It lasted three days.

Itwasnt until June of 1676 that another Day of Thanksgiving was proclaimed.

2008年奥运会这个重任将要降临中国之前，上天对中国进行了一场考验，将一场巨大的灾难降临在中华大地，8.0级的地震牵动了世界各国的心，震碎了中华儿女的心，可是，地震却永远也震不倒中华儿女的爱心!在关键时刻，中华儿女经受住了考验，奥运会在中国成功举办。

2013年世博会开幕之前，灾难又一次降临中华大地。7.1级的玉树地震又一次震动了中华儿女的心。地震虽然影响了世博会的计划，却阻碍不了中华儿女团结一致，抗震救灾的决心!地震无情人有情，经过中华儿女的不懈努力，世博会也成功举办了。

中国成功的度过了重重困难，最终富强起来了，难道我们不应当感激困难吗?都说逆境出人才，我看一点也不假，祖国不就是因为逆境而强大的吗?

所以，我们要常怀一颗感恩之心，用进取乐观的态度去应对，无论是对挫折对还是困难，无论是对敌人还是对对手。

我化工0801班今天中午在一号教学楼召开了以“感恩”为主题的主题班会。此次班会在班委的精心筹划之下，同学们的积极配合使得此次班会非常成功。感恩是一种美德，学会感恩是人生的必修课。作为一名当代大学生，学会感恩，对生活中的一切都能拥有一颗感恩的心，无论是对我们的学习生活，乃至以后的人生，都有着至关重要的意义。为此，我班举行了以感恩为主题的班会。

班会开始先由主持人陈词：生活不是笔直通畅的走廊，能让我们在其中轻松自在地行走，我们时常会陷入迷茫。但我们依然能坚定地走下去了，因为我们的亲人、朋友和师长，一直在支撑着我们，生活给予我们的远远超出了我们所能回报的。所以，我们应当怀有一颗感恩的心，珍惜你身边的每一位亲友，向需要帮助的人给出你鼓励的微笑、贴心的话语或用实际行动支持他们。

通过此次班会，加强了同学们的感恩意识。能够更加全面的思考问题，设身处地地为别人着想，善待身边的每一个人，这是班会想要达到的效果。这次班会之后，同学们明白了一个道理：感恩不只是口头的，更重要的在于行动。此后，同学们能积极的向家里打电话，尊重父母，理解身边所有关心自己的人，心怀感激，使自己的人生观得到了升华。
