国庆节那一天，市府广场披上了节日盛装。人们从四面八方来到这里，休闲、渡假，整个广场充满了欢声笑语。

寒冷的冬天过去了，温暖的春天不知不觉的来了，我们去校园寻找春天的足迹。

校园的左侧，有一棵高大的梧桐树，远远望去，梧桐树光秃秃的，近看，会惊喜的发现，梧桐树长出了一些小苞，小苞是绿色的，有的小苞抽出了一点儿嫩芽，有的小苞圆溜溜的，像一个个小球。

走过“求真”石，就来到大操场上，大操场上那四季常青的松柏依然昂首挺胸的站在大操场边守护着，像一个个绿色卫士。

It is quite usual that one meets failures, for ones life can never be

plain sailing. However, diffhrent people hold diffhrent attitudes towards

failure. Some people think it a heavy blow to fail in achieving something and

they can not endure failure. When they meet failure, they will be seriously

dejected and can never pluck up their courage to try again. However, others

think it natural to meet failures in ones career. Therefore, they are

psychologically prepared. When they meet failures, they will not be frustrated.

Instead, they will continue to meet new challenges. As to me, Im in favor of

the latter view. Failure is really a terrible thing but it is also the mother of

success. If one draws lessons from failures, in most cases he will get success

in the future. Furthermore, ones life can never be smooth sailing; it must be

full of difficuhies and setbacks. If one is daunted by difficuhies and

frustrations, he will always be a failure. However, if one holds a positive

attitude toward failure, he will overcome difficulties and frustrations to win

我从小就在广东境内游，从未体验过省外是怎样。暑假里，一次偶然的机会，我来到了贵州。

贵州，是少数民族的栖息地，其中也包括少数汉族。

在天龙屯堡，全部都是汉族人，可他们穿着却是少数民族的样式。据说，他们一直保留着清朝的`生活。我亲自去体验过。屯堡人热情好客，即便是老人家。我们来到当地的佛教殿，也算是敬老院。有许多老人家在做手工活，是做鞋子。全部都是纯手工，我看着很喜欢，便买了两双特小号做纪念。

苗族也是贵州的“土特产”。西江苗寨是我国最大的少数民族的村落。苗族的小吃非常可口，苗王酥就是例子。苗王酥香甜可口，甜味刚好，咸味恰当，真是美味!

贵州的侗寨也很有特色，特别是鼓楼。肇兴的鼓楼有五个：仁团、义团、礼团、智团、信团。是孔子的五个思想教育。

这一次到贵州，不仅增长了见识，还体验贵州风光。希望可以再一次到贵州。

“难忘今宵，难忘今宵……”全家人大声的唱着春节晚会的主题曲，我们的欢声笑语可不比电视里春晚的少。

大街上张登结彩，到处挂着一串串红灯笼，家家户户忙着买年货、贴对联……街上人山人海，热闹极了!

姥姥让我上她家住，奶奶让我去她家吃团圆饭，三姨的手里还拿着一个冰激凌……我说“别急，别急!你们的要求我都答应，我还要给你们拜年挣红包呢!”哈哈，春节真是大丰收啊!我在心里想：看来我在大家的心里都是这么重要啊!

晚上，大家非常开心，有的打朴克，有的打麻将，有的看电视里的春晚，而我终于等到了期盼已久的时刻：放鞭炮、烟花。伴随着辟啪的爆竹声，五颜六色的礼花腾空而起：那烟花时而像仙女撒花，时像火焰争锋，时而像彩蝶飞舞，时而像含包欲放的花朵。我和哥哥姐姐们蹦着跳着欢呼着，同时在心里许下对新的一年美好的愿望!放完烟花一进屋，奶奶和姑姑包的热腾腾的饺子端上了桌，这可不是一般的饺子哦，它是幸运饺子。谁吃到了硬币谁在新的一年里就会很幸运!大家开始“疯”抢饺子。我看中了一个，咬开一看：哇，有硬币!而且还是五角的呢!大家都可高兴了，那时的场面热闹极了!

每当春节的时候，姥姥家还会举办一场小型春晚。首先大家一起为姥姥姥爷送上祝福，然后大家会相互祝福，之后每个人都得出节目表演自己的才能，有的唱歌，有的诗歌朗诵，有的在讲春节的由来和各地的风俗，有的还在跳舞……三十多人一个不能落下，可我妈妈什么也不会，只好表演了“罚酒三杯”，哈哈哈，大家都禁不住大笑起来!

春节那么热闹，是最盛大的节日。忙碌了一年的人们举国同欢!也对新的一年寄予了新的希望!最后，我祝大家：新年快乐!

听妈妈说，我生出来的时候非常瘦，几年工夫，我长的像一个充满气的皮球似的，都是因为我奶奶每顿都要让我多吃一点，所以这几年才疯长了，一个一米六的小孩竟有120斤左右，稍微跑几百米累得是气喘吁吁，慢吞吞的像只小企鹅，因此我才烦恼。

在过年时，爸爸的几个同事在吃饭时，是对我说：“你长的又白又胖，一定在吃上花了不少工夫吧!”我点点头，接着他还语重心长地劝道：“以后得多注意注意才是啊!”说罢，便转过身来摸摸我的头，拍拍我的肩膀，笑眯眯的对我说：“如果现在不注意，小孩子肥胖也会引起血血脂高，血糖高的，到时就麻烦了。”我听了点点头，我心想，我也不想胖呀，但是不怎么会事，就是容易长肉。

晚饭后出去散步，一些老爷爷、老奶奶碰到妈妈，总是会唠叨两句：“给你家小子少吃一点肉，多吃一点青菜萝卜。”一位快嘴阿姨竟冒出这么一句：“不过长胖也好，可以去日本学相扑，没准儿还会为国争光呀!”妈妈一脸的尴尬，后来，妈妈每天叮嘱我，要多去外面运动，少待在家里。

在学校就更糟糕了，同学们给我取绰号“小胖子”，一些同学让我吃减脂餐，既减肥味道又不错，有一个居然说，直接从我的腿里切几斤肉下来，然后卖钱，这样也可以减肥。我当时听了，让我气的是不要不要的，真想冲上去打他一顿。

唉，我究竟错了什么?我不就是胖了一点，我好烦恼!

Dear Sir,

I am highly disappointed in the proposed 2004-05 budget cuts to educa1ion. Taking away basic aid status and slashing our school budgets is a recipe for educational disaster in our school. The future lies with our children. They must have access to high quality educa1ion.

My husband and I have worked hard to be able to live in a school district that provides high quality education for our children. Cutting funding in districts like ours will have a negative impact on property values.

The school that my daughter attends is hardly wha1 I would describe as a "rich" school. Parents are asked to pay for books for all the classes, science supplies and for their students to participate in the performing arts among other items. If our school is to remain a world leader in technological development, cutting our school funds is the worst possible choice to make.

Education funds should not be diverted away from education.

春天里的一天，一条神奇小虫子诞生了。这条虫子一天天地长大，一天天地打量着这个世界。如今，他已成为一只有名的虫子啦!

这条小虫子长得很高了，有一双乌溜溜的眼睛，以及一个灵敏的鼻子，鼻子下面的那张小嘴巴那可是能说会道的哦。有人说，这只虫子还很帅，你觉得呢?

刘虫子的兴趣爱好也不少，比如看书、乐高、骑车、魔方等等等等。

刘虫子看书的时候，他就在书中爬来爬去，甚至到吃饭时他也还在看。他的奶奶叫他一遍、两遍、三遍，这条小虫子还在书的世界里爬着，真可谓是废寝忘食了。最后他的奶奶失去了耐心，干脆把刘虫子直接从书里拎了出来，他这才如梦方醒。

在搭建乐高时，刘虫子经常把一些大小零件错乱地拼凑在一起，拼成一些“四不像”的东东来。但不管怎么说，刘虫子还是创造出了无数的作品，比如，搅拌车、大吊车、越野车……他的家里，由他拼出来的各种机械不亚于50件。他常常把拼好的汽车放在口袋里带出去玩，不过，常常是一不小心就掉到地上，摔得粉碎呢。有时，为了保护汽车，而把自己摔倒了。有一次摔得很重，他差点儿摔成肉球球。

玩魔方，骑车，耍平衡车也是刘虫子的乐事。

官渡古镇位于昆明市官渡区，历史悠久，是古滇文化的发祥地之一，古镇内有许多古建筑，有佛寺、阁楼、庙宇无处不透露着岁月的气息。

阴雨笼罩下的官渡古镇平添了几分历史的厚重，穿过大门的牌坊，沿着斑驳的青石板道路进入古镇商业街，下雨天也阻挡不了人们玩耍的热情，五颜六色的伞在古镇内的小巷里穿梭，小贩们的吆喝声和各种美食的香味充斥着小巷的每一个角落，那画面美极了。

穿过商业街，跨过金刚桥，映入眼帘的便是一座雄伟的金刚塔。金刚塔有一个巨大的正方形底座，底座的四周各有一道门，中间是相通的，底座上方中间是一座高耸的主塔，四周各有一座小塔，像是四个忠臣的士兵在守护。妈妈告诉我，官渡古镇的金刚塔建于明代，又称“穿心塔”，是我国现存的金刚塔中历史最悠久的，是国家的重点保护文物。

来到官渡古镇，怎能不品尝官渡古镇的美食?炒饵块、豌豆粉、甜白酒、烤洋芋、烧豆腐、小锅米线无一不在刺激我的味蕾，馋得我口水都快流下来了。生意最好的是一家叫“眼镜粑粑”的店，门前排起了长队像一条长龙，只看见一个阿姨熟练的提起火盆，从炉子里夹出一个个香喷喷的官渡粑粑，我边吹气边迫不及待的咬下去，啊!又香又甜，实在太好吃了，如果你来官渡古镇，一定要尝尝。

吃完东西妈妈带我在小巷里逛，各种各样的小玩意让我看得眼花缭乱，给人印象最深的是捏面人，一个老爷爷用各种各样颜色的面搓呀、捏呀，不一会儿，犹如变魔术般一个栩栩如生的哪吒就出现在老爷爷手里，我生怕被别人买走了，就赶紧掏出零花钱把它买下来，喜欢的爱不释手。
