We only have one earth, but this unique earth is not simple. There are many things need people to understand, to solve. Let me take illness as an example. Everyone will get ill, such as catch a cold, have a fever, cough, sugar diabetes and so on. These diseases are so common. As people have paid attention on them, anyone who gets any disease of them would not have to worry about too much. They will be cured at last. However, there are some rare diseases, which not many people realize. Some people fracture head touched on the bone, some people all body is white, some people is difficult to control bleeding once he falls to bleed, some people’s all body muscle is weakness and atrophy. The chance to have those kinds of diseases is one in a million. But it is hard for them to be diagnosed and even they were diagnosed, the cure is limited and expensive. A little boy invited his mother to attend his elementaryschool’sfirst teacher-parent conference. To the little boy sdismay, shesaid she would go. Each and every year, during Chongyang Festival, citizens of China celebrate the elders in their families and communities. It’s a special tradition which is rooted in the deep value that Chinese culture places on honouring their elders.

每年在重阳节，中国人民会在家里或者社区和他们的老人一起庆祝，这是一种扎根在中国传统敬老文化价值观的特殊传统。

Sadly, many of our aging population are seniors without sons, daughters or grandchildren to visit. While they may have great friends, they no doubt miss the tender and loving relationships unique to families. To fill this void, many volunteers turned up on October 28 at nursing homes around the country in order to spend time with the residents. In some cases, they performed humble gestures of kindness, such as combing their hair or washing their feet.

While the kind acts were appreciated, one embarrassing story out of Anhui province raised a valuable question. Their family members or community volunteers may drop by for a few hours of token time, but soon they disappear back into their busy lives.

One day, when I was on my way home, I saw an old man walking slowly around the street Corner. Suddenly he fell down, I ran to him. I couldn’t move him. I look around. My View on Helping Others in Need

In modern society we are often sorry to see that people are reluctant to help others out, not to mention helping a stranger; offering a helping hand seems to be out of accord with the times。

Then what’s wrong with our society? Some people may say that facing skyrocketing housing prices, expensive medical expenditure

and soaring commodity prices, they have no choice but to struggle to make a living, and thus it would be impossible to spare a hand to help others because it may bring them into trouble. Therefore, standing by indifferently is their only choice。

However, is it necessary to be selfish in order to survive, or in order to ensure that people do not take advantage of you? In my opinion, helping others brings a strong sense of accomplishment. What’s more, the evaluation criteria

for judging one individual’s success should be modified so that offering a helping hand to people in need is encouraged and welcomed in our society all the time。
