The first Arbor Day took place on April 10, 1872 in Nebraska. It was the brainchild of Julius Sterling Morton (1832-1902)， a Nebraska journalist and politician originally from Michigan. In the years following that first Arbor Day, Mortons idea spread beyond Nebraska with Kansas, Tennessee, Minnesota and Ohio all proclaiming their own Arbor Days. Today all 50 states celebrate Arbor Day although the dates may vary in keeping with the local climate. March 12th is Tree Planting Day. This year our school bought enough trees before that day . On that day , we didnt had classes . The teachers and our classmates planted trees around our school.

三月十二号是植树节，在这之前我们学校今年买了足够的树。那天，我们不用上课。老是和同学一起在学校周边种树。

We began to planted trees as soon as we got to school . Some students dug the holes . Some students put the trees into the holes.Some students put the earth back to the holes. Then we pushed the earth hard with our feet . At last we watered the trees as much as possible.

我们一到学校就开始种树。有的学生挖坑，有的把树放进坑，有的学生把土产回坑里。然后我们用脚努力地把土踩结实。最后我们给树浇尽可能多的水。

From then on we looked after the trees carefully and the trees grew very well . It made our shcool more beautiful .And How happy we are !

从那时起，我们小心翼翼的照顾那些树，树也长得很好。它让我们的学校变得更加美丽。我们是多么的开心啊!

春天是播种的季节。阳春三月的一天，我们来到曲江公园，种下一棵棵绿色桂花树苗。

我们带着小树苗。来到一个小土坡上。我挑了一块朝南的地方，因为那里阳光很充足，土地松散，非常适宜树木的生长。我和朱俊将合种一棵树苗。一切准备就绪，我抢先拿起锹，开始挖坑。本以为锹对一个六年级的学生来说，根本不算什么，可是由于平时缺乏锻炼，我使用起锹却非常吃力，刚铲了两下，我便上气不接下气了。只好和朱俊轮流换着挖，朱俊接过了锹，只见他手脚并用，先将锹插进土内，然后用脚使劲蹬，一大块土就“搬家”了，不一会，我们眼前出现了一个深约20厘米的坑。我把树苗放进坑内并扶正，朱俊把土填进坑内，并用锹背夯实。我们又拎来了一小桶水，倒在树根处，一桶水很快被吸收了，我想它们一定渴坏了，于是又给它们浇了两小桶水，我仿佛看到它们在拼命吸收水分和营料，一定十分的畅快。

树种好了，我从口袋里拿出早已准备好的“心愿卡”，将它用红丝带系在了树枝上。我在心中许下了愿望：愿小树和我们一起成长，成为国家的栋梁之材!

从此，我的心中又多了一份牵挂。待到八月桂花香的时候，小树，我一定再去曲江公园看你。

一年一度的植树节到了。早上，风和日丽，天空中飘着朵朵白云。

妈妈带我和哥哥到公园里植树。我们像快乐的小鸟一样“飞”到了公园里。

到了那里，我看见了小朋友们和爸爸妈妈一起植树，有的搬树苗，有的拿着锄头挖坑，有的拿着铁锹铲土，还有的拿着水桶到河边打水……他们干得热火朝天，汗流满面也顾不上擦。

我和哥哥找到一个地方，妈妈用锄头挖了个坑，哥哥把树苗放进去，我也紧紧扶着小树苗，生怕小树苗倒下。我用铁铲给小树苗填土。填呀填，树坑里的土填满了。树苗已经稳稳当当地站住了。哥哥用脚把土踩紧，我再把水慢慢地倒进土里，树苗喝饱了水，好像变得更茁壮了。

只要我们人人都植一棵树，那我们的地球妈妈将变得更加美丽。明年，我还要来植树!
