Christmas is one of the most important celebrations of the year for the western countries. It falls on the twenty- fifth of December and has the same importance as Chinese New Year to people with English backgrounds. The celebration is for the birth of Jesus Christ, who is the son of God in Christianity. Now days Christmas is no longer only celebrated by the Christians, but by most people from all over the world.

On the twenty- fourth of December everyone gets excited for it’s the day before Christmas which is called Christmas Eve. The children are usually sent to bed early and are warned that “Santa Claus will only come and give you a present if you be good.” The younger kids actually believe that Santa will come down the chimney on the sleigh that’s pulled by his reindeers. Food like short bread and beer are prepared for Santa when he comes, however most times parents just eat them. Some children put socks and sacks up for the holding of the presents (that their parents put in).

Rise and shine on Christmas morning! The children are always the first ones to wake up, some even do at four. Present wrappers everywhere! They look into their presents with a big smile on their face and oh dear….I hope no one’s disappointed. I feel sorry for anyone that got pink underwear. Children play while dinner is prepared by the adults. The Christmas dinner are usually eaten together by relatives. The tradition of Christmas pudding and roosters are usually eaten with deserts afterwards. The rest of the day is usually games and fun before the good days all come to an end.

My New Years Resolution

2014 will be end ,and 2015 will be come. In the new year ,we must be have much wishes, because new year means that things end and another things start. So we need to make a new years resolution in order to the second year will be better. I want to share my new years resolution with you. Firstly, I decide to try my best to learn english. because my english so poor that it affects my other subject. I will face many differences, such as broadening my vocabulary, training my listening, improving my write and so on. I must work hard because I dont want to behind the times. Secondly, I will give up watching football games because every time it takes me two hours, which makes me not finish my homework. As a student, study is our duty, so I will focused more on study and less on playing . In order to my future, I will work hard.

Recently, I have seen an impressive film—“Meet the Parents”, which is about

a woman Palm brought her boyfriend Greg to her parents’ home to spend holiday.

In the film, Greg was so dishonest to Palm’s parents that Palm’s father is

suspicious of his behavior and quality. As a result, Greg is obnoxious to all

and has to leave. As far as I am concerned, the consequence is heavily caused by

his dishonesty. If Greg could be real him all the time, he would get much

respect and appreciation and would not get much frustration. From the film, I

have learned that being honest was extremely important and necessary. In other

words, being honest is a basic principle for us to deal with others.

For one thing, we will not get others’ trust unless we are honest. If we

deceive others, we would get the same in return, and even no one would make

friends with us or even communicate with us. For another, we will get others’

respect and appreciation if telling the truth. Telling the truth and being

ourselves, we will get a healthy and peaceful surrounding to grow up better.

However, something strange happens in our society. There is a strange

phenomenon that honest people suffer but the dishonest benefit a lot. It made

some people have a suspicion that being honest is not so important.

But I still believe that these are just a few cases, since honesty is

deeply rooted in our minds and we still consider it as a basic principle in

social contacts.

窗外的风轻轻吹过，我合上了书，看着慢慢飘摆的窗帘，几片树叶悄悄飘过我的窗前，我闭上眼，追逐风的气味。

想到刚看的书中说：“要有最朴素的生活与最遥远的梦想，即使明日天寒地冻，路远马亡。”又想了想自己，到底有什么样的梦想?这样的问题我不知如何作答，或许对我来说，最遥远的梦想可能就是拥有最朴素的生活吧。

或许我会在某个乡村。有一个自己的农场，我每天放牛，养羊，每天和风打交道，我有一个小木屋，晚上，当牛羊已沉睡，我在灯光静静地读书。我可以站在小山坡上看护林人的小屋，也可以在金黄色的浓密麦田中看远方高耸的云杉。每天看夕阳西下，教堂钟楼的十字架在夕阳的余晖中闪着光。或许夏天，头是瓦蓝瓦蓝的天空，树林中有动人的蝉鸣，田野里是青绿的秧苗。闲来无事的时候我可以去湖边钓鱼，或者骑着马到周围走一遭。或许我的行踪会惊着在湖面上的鱼鹰，疾速地飞向广阔的天空，留下几圈涟漪在水面上慢慢散开。冬天或许会下几场大雪，我坐在家里，炉火尽情燃烧，温暖又有活力，可能静悄悄我就进入了梦乡。

当我郑重地写下这个题目时，脑海中浮现着小时候幼小的我用铅笔写下的豪言壮语，可当我长大后，无情地用橡皮擦去这几个歪歪扭扭的字。现在的我想起自己竟将生命中宝贵的梦想轻松遗忘并觉得当时是好傻、好天真，这真是成长的可悲。

此时此刻快十六岁的我，梦想已不是儿时的戏言，而是我将付毕生努力去追寻的，她或许不如硅谷里那些大神渴望改变世界的宏大，也不比曼德拉追求平等自由的伟大。我的梦想：要当一名好医生，一个仁心、仁术的医生。我希望我的灵魂如白大褂那般纯洁，在我的手中有更多的人走出病魔的阴影。

第一步：高考。从进高中开始，我的目标一直未改变，同济或湘雅的八年制临床医学。我更想去中南大学湘雅医学院，北协和、南湘雅倒也是响彻全国了，我也希望离开父母的呵护，到一个全新的城市闯一闯。

第二步：八年学习，一天天过呗。拿到博士学位，进个三甲(最好到湘雅附一)，一步一步考职称，一步一步往上爬，也相信终有一天我也有属于我的天。众所周知，如今医患关系不好，长远来看，到我工作的时候可能也改变不了多少。但我最大的心愿就是作为医生的我和病患不存在猜忌，责骂……他们信任我，我倾尽所有的学识，同他们一起与病魔斗争。也许结局不一定都是童话，但我对得起一直追求的梦想。

第三步：我深知自己不可能绝对高尚，视名利如粪土。也许我五六十岁的时候，得到我应有的财富与社会地位，我希望可以组建或参与医疗团队去边疆山区免费医疗，援非……

终有一天我会老去，但梦想的热度不会冷却。那些年轻的学生继承我的学术，在他们身上有我的影子，看着他们充满希望的脸庞，在这条路上不畏艰险，救更多的人，继续那些我没完成的梦想。

离去的那天，安详的闭上眼，回首往事，能笑着进入天国。在我的墓志铭上刻着：逐梦的英雄!

任何梦想都不卑微，我的梦想虽不能改变世界，影响的人相比浩瀚人群也是沧海一粟，但这本就渺小的生命个体却不再平凡，生命长度即使有限，却因梦想增加了深度与广度。

这一次，我不会轻易擦去我的梦想，因为那是即将成年的我对社会的宣誓!

Everyone has their own dreams, like the stars in the sky. Of all kinds, everybodys dream is different, some want to but a doctor, some want to be a soldier, some want to be a scientist... The appropriate an ordinary teacher of my dreams.

Teacher, this noun makes us feel very kind, another mother, just like our teacher told us how to face difficulties in life and overcome the difficulties. However, when we play in the classroom, who also have no thought of what our teacher do. Maybe the teacher corrects our homework in, maybe is serious lessons. Who is worried about the teachers body? I think, probably not! But the teacher still do that. They would rather be a candle, burns himself, lit up the us. They would rather be a street lamp, light up the students future. But they havent a complaint.

I also want to do such a person, only to pay, you planned to. Teach their knowledge every bit of the students, let them on the way of learning progress. I just want to do such a person.

I know that when a teacher is not easy, so I want to study well, cherish every opportunity to learn. I believe that it can become a reality!

每个人都有自己的梦想，像天空中的繁星。各式各样，每个人的梦想都不同，有的想但医生，有的想当军人，有的想当科学家……而我的梦想适当一名平凡的老师。

老师，这个名词让我们感到很亲切，就像我们的另一个母亲，老师在生活中叫我们怎样面对困难，克服困难。然而，当我们在教室里打闹的时候，谁也没有想到过我们的老师在干些什么。也许老师在批改我们的作业，也许正在认真的备课。谁又担心过老师的身体呢?我想，大概没有吧!但老师还是这样做了。他们宁愿做一支蜡烛，燃烧了自己，照亮了我们。他们宁愿做一盏路灯，照亮学生们的前程。可是他们一句怨言都没有。

我也想做这样的人，只有付出，不求回报。把自己的知识一点一滴的教给学生们，让他们在学习的道路上不断进步。我就是想做这样的一个人。

我知道当一名老师不容易，所以我要好好学习，珍惜每一个学习机会。我相信，这一定能变成现实!

Do you know thanksgiving day? do you know why human thank god?

Thanksgiving falls on the fourth thursday of november, a different date every year. the president must proclaim that date as the official celebration.

Thanksgiving is a time for tradition and sharing. even if they live far away, family members gather for a reunion at the house of an older relative. all give thanks together for the good things that they have.

In this spirit of sharing, civic groups and charitable organizations offer a traditional meal to those in need, particularly the homeless. on most tables throughout the united states,foods eaten at the first thanksgiving have become traditional.

What should we thank?

The thankful great universe provides the environment of existence for us and give us sunlight,air, water and everything in keeping with we existence of space, bring storm to let us accept to toughen for us, bring to us mysterious let us look for.

The thankful parents give us the life, make us feel the merriment of the human life, feel the genuine feeling of the human life, feel the comity of the human life, feel happiness of the human life, also feel hardships and pain and sufferings of the human life!

The thankful teacher works with diligence and without fatigue everyday of teach, give us knowledge ability, put on the wing which flies toward the ideal for us.

The thankful classmate and friend grows up road of, let i no longer standing alone in the itinerary of life; the with gratitude is frustrated and let us become in a time the failurestronger.
