Sometimes that may be the only time or meal a transit rider may be able to eat especially when traveling long distances. Besides, there are people, for example diabetics, who do require food at various times to maintain blood-sugar levels.

Personally, Im against the ban because of the huge inconvenience it would cause to commuters, and the expense involved in enforcing it. Still, I believe we should have a little common courtesy. I think we all have responsibility to try to treat our subway system and fellow riders with respect, and that extends to food as well.

Academic Plagiarism

Nowadays, the problem of academic plagiarism becomes more and more serious. In orderto earn academic titles, some teachers plagiarize others academic papers; in order tograduate smoothly, some college students plagiarize others graduation papers. Everything hasits reasons; academic plagiarism is no exception.

First, college authorities put too much emphasis on papers while conferring academic titlesand graduating students. Second, modern technology makes it unprecedentedly easy to getinformation and materials. Some plagiarists who are morally corrupt cant resist thetemptation and decide to take risks. Third, the system of censorship and penalty are farfrom being strict, encouraging plagiarism to some extent.

Plagiarism causes many bad results. On the one hand, plagiarism infringes original writersright and it is unfair for teachers and students who dont plagiarize. On the other hand,plagiarism may spread negative thoughts which in the end will ruin colleges fame. Therefore,I suggest college authorities should not regard papers as the only criterion for evaluating teachers and students. Besides, much stricter system of censorship and penalty should beapplied.

喜欢在书本中翱翔世界，十七岁的天空，充满着春天的柔情与夏天的豪情；十七岁的天空，是一串串花朵与阳光的组合排列；十七岁的天空，我愿与文会友与书为伴；十七岁的天空，我愿用书窗打开自己的世界，诠释自己无悔的青春！

我是一个土生土长的乡村女孩，却从小喜欢与书打交道，可能限于农村条件的落后，我的童年既没有蓝精灵，也没有花仙子的陪伴，有的只是那有限的几本教科书，所以，在那时，我视它如珍宝！

第一次看全一本课外书是在六年级的时候，父亲送我的第一本书——《海伦凯勒》，那本书，直到现在依然放在我的书架上，偶尔闲暇，也会翻翻看看，重温那时的喜悦。后来，父亲经常带我到市里的书店去买书，我喜欢看名着，两年的时间，我读了高尔基的三部曲，懂得了黑暗世界的悲惨、懂得了那时生活的辛酸苦辣！读了《鲁滨逊漂流记》，鲁滨孙不愿过那种平庸的生活，而是喜欢冒险，要用自己的双手发财致富，读了《钢铁是怎样炼成的》保尔用自己的意志与困难斗争，战胜自我，实现人生的价值。

当我读完越来越多的书目，我发现我的思想有很大程度与书中人物的思想出现了共鸣！当我迈入初中的第一步，我就暗暗立志，三年的青春，决不能荒废在死读书上，当然，成绩是王牌，在提高成绩的基础上要提高自己的能力，我并不认为考取年级第一就是成功，而是认为，尽最大的努力实现自我真正的价值便是成功！三年的时间，真的实现了，我成功了，真的是好书如友！

古有“一屋不扫，何以扫天下”，今有“细节决定成败”。时代有变，但从小事做起，注重细节的道理古今传承，从未改变。书中提到：“今后的竞争将是细节的竞争”、“芸芸众生能做大事的实在太少。多数人的多数情况总还是做一些具体的事，琐碎的事，单调的事，也许鸡毛蒜皮。但这就是工作，是生活，是成就大事的不可缺少的基础。”而正是汪中求先生的《细节决定成败》帮我给掉了浅尝辄止的毛病，正是在思索中读书，读书中进步！

步入八年级后，我开始发挥我的写作专长，俗话说“书到用时方恨少”，虽然在校刊上有“婉青专栏”一职，不过，从那时开始才真正地感觉到自己懂得太少了，需要接触的书，的知识！

后来，在指导教师宋恩君老师的建议下，我在丰南图书馆办理了读者借阅证，开始了我的读书淘金生涯！普希金说过，人的影响短暂而微弱，书的影响则广泛而深远。的确如此，当博览群书后，自己已经不再是以前的“傻丫头”，自身的价值与素质在不断地提高，同时，写作能力也在不断提升，知之者不如好之者，好之者不如乐之者，我渐渐的以书为伴，乐在其中！

一个人的一生中之所以能不断提高，与其始终如一的学习是分不开的，所谓活到老学到老，庄子说，吾生也有涯，而知无涯。知识是没有穷尽的，坚持学习让人始终处于不败之地。反之，没有知识的不断补充和积累，人便会落后于时代。歌德说过，谁落后于时代，就将承受那个时代所有的痛苦。特别是在现今知识爆炸的年代里，不能接触新的知识便会被时代所淘汰。

而书，正是我们学习知识的一条捷径，了解世界的一扇窗。喜欢读书，不仅仅是喜欢它带给我的提升与进步。更爱它独有的香气和淡雅！一盏香茗，一本好书，共邂逅在初夏的午后，这是何等的精神盛宴？我喜欢这样的感觉，每每此时，心便能平静下来，随书旅行！凯勒说，一本书像一艘船，带领我们从狭獈的地方，驶向生活的无限广阔的海洋。我说，它能带我周游世界，翱翔天空！

路漫漫其修远兮，吾将上下而求索。未来的路还很长，可能人生只有五彩缤纷才会更加美丽，我还年轻，可能未来的暴风雨还会更加激烈，但我始终相信：当人生经过暴风雨的洗礼就会变得更加美丽，书却是我永远的寄托，未来的日子，我会继续读书，不断丰富自己的人生，我记得余秋雨曾经说过，阅读的最大理由是想摆脱平庸，早一天就多一份人生的精彩；迟一天就多一天平庸的困扰！我非常喜欢这句话，书，是我每天的朋友！

Water is very important to us. If you don’t have water for three days, you will die. We can use water for flowers, swimming, washing and many different things. We use it to cook, make electricity, and put out fires and so on. We use millions of liters of water every day.

Do you know how does the water come to your home? It travels through water pipes. Some are long and wide but some are short and narrow. Then the water travels through the water pipes to the reservoirs. Then it travels through the water pipes to the river and to the special factories that purify the water. When the water is purified, we can drink it. Please don’t leave garbage in the water on which we line, and keep the water clean.

our shool, wuhan heping middle school, lies in the center of wuhan city. it was just built and has the perfect size. the school yard is two hundred meters long, one hundred meters wide, and is surrounded by trees.

when you walk throught the front gate, there is a huge garden that greets you with every kind of natural things. to the left is the school library in which there are more than 100, 000 books. to the right is the eperiment building. in the very middle of the school yard stands the teaching building that stretches for one hundred and fifty meters. this teaching building has four floors with the teachers offices at either end of each floor. standing on the top of the teaching building, you can see a flower bed. behind the teaching building is a large playground on the right side. the students often do sports here after class. to the left lies the dining hall which can hold 500 people. this is our school, a beautiful one.
