还有一件事，使我终身难忘。记得那一次，我在池塘边玩，当时只有我一人在那儿，一不小心，我摔了一跤，掉进了池塘，池塘的水非常深，可我偏偏是一个“旱鸭子”，我努力的挣扎，可我怎么也爬不上岸来，我绝望了，以为这回完蛋了。可令我意想不到的是，我父母居然赶过来把我拉了上来。后来才知道，是我的小鹦鹉及时飞到父亲身上，用嘴拼命的把父亲往池塘边拖，我才得以获救。

就因为有了这只可爱的鹦鹉，我的同学经常来找我玩，使我的生活也增添了几分乐趣。

一天，我正在和我的小鹦鹉一起玩耍，妈妈却把我叫到一边，严肃的说：“儿子，你必须把鹦鹉放回大自然!”我问妈妈：“为什么呀?”妈妈告诉我：“小鸟与人经常生活在一起，而不生活在自然中，不但生活不好，而且还将缩短寿命。”

听了妈妈的话，我心情很矛盾，是将它放回大自然，还是将它留在我身边呢?我一连几天茶不思、饭不想，夜晚翻来覆去睡不着，不知该怎么办才好。小鹦鹉看到我不高兴的样子，好像知道了什么似的，也和我一样整天闷闷不乐。经过几天的慎重思考后，我最终作出了一个决定，那就是将它放回大自然。作出这个决定后，我便觉得全身轻松了。
