Dear Sir,

I am highly disappointed in the proposed 2004-05 budget cuts to educa1ion. Taking away basic aid status and slashing our school budgets is a recipe for educational disaster in our school. The future lies with our children. They must have access to high quality educa1ion.

My husband and I have worked hard to be able to live in a school district that provides high quality education for our children. Cutting funding in districts like ours will have a negative impact on property values.

The school that my daughter attends is hardly wha1 I would describe as a "rich" school. Parents are asked to pay for books for all the classes, science supplies and for their students to participate in the performing arts among other items. If our school is to remain a world leader in technological development, cutting our school funds is the worst possible choice to make.

Education funds should not be diverted away from education.

Many years ago, when scientists tried to make a robot to do some human

work, they could never thought about how far the robot could go. Today, some

scientists even predict that the wisdom of robot will surpass human being and

take place of us. In the science fiction movies, the directors have explored the

consciousness of intelligent machines, who showed how these machines controlled

people at last. The directors warned people that they may lose the dominant

position in the future. Recently, a robot was given the citizenship and it

became the first robot to be treated as human being. The public was shocked, but

when they saw the robot could communicate with human beings and question about

matters, they felt scared. Maybe in the future, the robot will replace us in

many aspects.

今天星期日，天气真好啊，朵朵白云漂浮在瓦蓝瓦蓝的天空里。地上的小草碧绿碧绿的，探出小脑袋，好奇地打量着这美好的世界。在这样的天气出去春游真是个好主意!我们三个家庭准备好郊游的用品——锅碗瓢盆，还有好些好吃的。由我爸爸开车，我们出发了。 This Sunday, the weather is so good, the blossoming white clouds float in the blue tile blue sky.The small grass on the ground is green and green, and the small head is revealed, curiously looking at this beautiful world.It is a good idea to go out in such a weather! 我们的车子绕过小山，跨过小河，走过田野，终于来到了郊游的地点。稍微休息片刻，该准备午饭了，那些爸爸级的大男人负责搬大石头架锅，那些妈妈级的女士却坐在石滩上休息，叫我们这几个小毛孩去捡柴生火。唉，母令不可违，我们几个小孩只好去捡柴火了。由于小孩子天生好斗好胜，所以我们比赛谁捡的柴火多，可是小手又不够大，拿了一堆又掉了一半，我灵机一动，捡了一根草绳，把柴捆作一捆，一次性带走!

大人们生起了火，却又交给了我们小孩来管，自己去休息了。我们大点的哥哥姐姐吩咐那些比较小的弟弟、妹妹们继续去捡树叶和小木棍，我们在炉前看火。由于我们都是新手，看到大人们一吹一吹，那火就旺起来了，于是我也去试了试。我大力一吹，没想到不但火没旺，那些灰尘还飞到了我的脸上，使我变成了“小小包青天”。大家大笑道：“哈哈，你怎么成大花猫了?”我不好意思地赶紧去河里洗了把脸，回来看到火旺起来了，粥也冒出了水汽。我想：一定是粥好了，让我来尝尝。我拿起勺子，盛了一勺子粥，刚碰到嘴边，就把我烫得“哇哇”大叫，只好先把粥盛到碗里，放凉了再吃。唉，看来真是心急吃不了热豆腐啊!

吃饱了，喝足了，我们躺在石滩上休息，那些弟弟、妹妹们就在河里抓小鱼、小虾。一不小心，他们一屁股坐在水里，裤子湿了，大家又是一阵捧腹大笑：“哈哈，羞羞，还尿裤子!”

哈哈，今天真开心啊，真是一次快乐的春游!

今天是我国的传统节日——端午节。 Today is my countrys traditional festival -Dragon Boat Festival.

端午节在农历五月初五，在这一天当中，我们家发生了许多有趣的事情。

正因为是我国的传统节日———端午节，所以我比平常晚起一点。当我睁开眼睛时，发现我的脚上手上，都缠满了五彩线，五彩线是由红、粉、黄、绿、蓝五种颜色，可鲜艳了!妈妈告诉我，在端午节带五彩线，是会给自己带来好运的!

当我涮好牙齿，洗好脸，做到座位上的时候，发现桌子上多了三角形的粽子，尖尖顶的鹅蛋。“这些东西是什么时候摆上桌的呢?”我心里想着，嘴里却说着：“不管了，我的肚子都饿的咕咕叫了。”于是我便一顿大吃起来。突然，爸爸问：“水知道端午节为什么要吃粽子?知道的‘同学’请举手!”

这可难不倒我，于是我便举起了手，说：“是因为春秋时期的屈原，屈原是怀玉的大臣，写了《天问》、《九歌》……等诗歌。因为被流放，所以与农历五月初五写下绝笔《怀沙》之后，跳下了泊罗江死了。人们为了不让鱼虾吃屈原的尸体，就把粽子、鸡蛋扔下江里。无为了纪念屈原，就把农历五月初五订为端午节，并把吃粽子定为端午节的习俗。”我刚说完，爸爸就紧接着说：“我们去看赛龙舟吧!别忘了，还有赛龙舟这个习俗呢!”于是我们便去看赛龙舟。

我们一路走去，去的路上，妈妈买了香囊，让我佩戴在身上，妈妈又买了艾叶、菖蒲。等我们走到那里，赛龙舟已经结束了，我们便往回走。刚到家里，我心里抱怨着，嘴里却说“妈妈!我还知道端午节的诗句。”于是我便说起来，“‘喝了雄黄酒，百病远远躲。’‘端午节，天气热;五毒醒，不安宁。’”还没等说完，妈妈就不停地称赞我真棒，真聪明!

这天真开心，时光非常短暂，真想天天都是端午节!

有人喜欢烈日炎炎的夏天，有人喜欢果实累累的秋天，还有人喜欢白雪皑皑的冬天。那我自己喜欢什么季节呢?我喜欢鸟语花香、百花齐放的春天。

“春天来了，春天来了。”

咦?是谁把我沉睡的心灵敲醒了呢?我拉开窗帘，打开窗户，看见了一群可爱的孩子们。哦，原来孩子们正要去公园欣赏美丽的春景呢!我急忙下床，准备也要去公园欣赏春景了。

我来到公园大门口，深深地吸了一口气，我感到春天的空气格外新鲜。我买了门票，进入了公园里。刚映入眼帘的是一个很大的喷水池，明媚的春光照着这个喷水池，像闪亮的珠子在空中跳舞呢。

我接着往里走，看到了一个五颜六色的大花坛。我看见过高傲的玫瑰花，也养过谦虚的百合花，却从没看见过这么美的花。花坛里的花真美啊，美得可以让你看一整天;花坛里的花真鲜艳啊，像亭亭而立的美丽少女穿着五彩缤纷的花裙子;花坛里的花真香啊，香得引来了勤劳的蜜蜂弟弟快乐的蝴蝶姐姐。

我抬头向远处一看，哇!一片茂密的大树呈现在眼前。我看见过笔直的松树，也画过巨大的榕树，却从没看见过这么生机勃勃的树。这里的树真粗呀，粗得可以围几个小朋友;这里的树真茂密呀，茂密得几乎看不到缝隙;这里的树真绿呀，绿得仿佛是一块碧玉。一阵风拂过，树就摇摆起来，好像在向我招手呢!鸟儿在树枝上快乐地唱歌，仿佛是在传播春天的喜悦。

看完了这么美丽的景色，我不禁想起了杜甫写的一句诗：迟日江山丽，春风花草香。
