Today is the New Year’s Day. I have a three-day holiday, so I can go out have fun or stay at home to have a good rest. Today, my parents take me out. We go to the mall. Many things are cheap so my mother buys many. I have a new cloth and a pair of shoes. I am so happy. They are the gifts for the New Year. At night, we have a big dinner outside. Summer vacation has arrived, and it is a happy holiday, but do you have a

Dear Sir,

I am highly disappointed in the proposed 2004-05 budget cuts to educa1ion. Taking away basic aid status and slashing our school budgets is a recipe for educational disaster in our school. The future lies with our children. They must have access to high quality educa1ion.

My husband and I have worked hard to be able to live in a school district that provides high quality education for our children. Cutting funding in districts like ours will have a negative impact on property values.

The school that my daughter attends is hardly wha1 I would describe as a "rich" school. Parents are asked to pay for books for all the classes, science supplies and for their students to participate in the performing arts among other items. If our school is to remain a world leader in technological development, cutting our school funds is the worst possible choice to make.

Education funds should not be diverted away from education.

峰谷表：这一种峰谷表主要是以资金来让广大人民们自觉节约水，这一种峰谷表大部分白天时候为高峰状态，收费比平常的多一点，而在早上、晚上大部分的时间为低谷状态，收费比平常的少一点，这样的话低谷时段的用水量比较少，而高峰时段用水量则比较多，这样所缴费用增多了，人们为了自己的钱应该会自觉节水。

强制节水器：这是一种靠有限的用水量来激励人们节水的装置。这种强制节水器有一个小小的齿轮装在水管里，就像普通水表那样，只要水一流动，这个小齿轮就会转动，并带动一个中型齿轮，中型齿轮再带动一个大型齿轮。而大型齿轮有一个突出处，好似刀子一样锋利。在管道上方有一个闸门，这一个闸门用一条绳子拉着，而这条绳子则连到了大型齿轮旁边，大型齿轮的突出处完全可以割到这条绳子。只要大型齿轮转一圈，绳子就会被大型齿轮的突出处割断，到时闸门就会落下，使水流无法通过。这一种装置也可以让人们养成节约水资源的好习惯。

以上两种节水装置都是用来让人们自觉节水的，虽然说让人民自觉节水的方式不同，但是目标都是一样的。

智能书包：我们每天上课都要带书，可偏偏有一些人的记忆力不太好，经常忘记带书，这可怎么办呢?不用怕!有了我最新研制出来的智能书包就不用愁了。你只要把课程表放在书包里层的一个小夹层里就一切OK了。如果你没带什么东西，智能书包就会用语音提示你什么什么科目的书没有带。怎么样?这一个智能书包是不是棒极了呢?

今天，是我盼望已久的节日——“国庆节”。早上，我穿上衣服，和爸爸、妈妈一起旅游。

我们来到了位于长治市黎城县的黄崖洞，这里的风景美丽极了，湖水清澈透明。

进入大门，看到两侧崖顶欲合，仰视如一线天，有“一夫当关，万夫莫开”之险。再往上走来到了高山公园，公园四周奇峰异石，真是美不胜收。

继续攀登，我们步入兵器库遗址，兵器库洞深72米，宽18米，高25米，这里曾经是著明的“黄崖洞保卫战”遗址。

黄崖洞真是一个进行青少年爱国主义教育及旅游的好地方。

Computers are affordable for almost all people nowadays. As a result, an

increasing number of college students take computers to their dormitory to

browse website, watch movies and play video games and so on. This phenomenon has

caused lots of public concern. Some people believe that computer does bad to

students’ health for college students spend more than five hours staring at

computer without break every day. However, for other people, they are positive

to students’ owing computers because students can search for the newest

information. Standing on my point, I’m more tending to the first opinion.

Reasons are as the following:

Firstly, computers will transfer students’ attention. If students take

computers on campus, they would spend much time on computer than on study. For

instance, lots of my classmates usually play computer for amusement once class

is dismissed instead of going to the library to read more books to enlarge their

knowledge circle.

Secondly, students spend lots of time on computers which hurts their

health. It is quite often seen that students stay in dormitory for almost a

whole day without any breaks playing computers. It is all known that computers

have radiation which hurts eyes and skin.

To be honest, students can use computer to search for the updated

information that they want. But for the reasons above, I firmly believe that

students shouldn’t bring computers to college.

1、思想重视的不够

2、写作素材的缺乏

教师对小学英语写作究竟要写些什么缺乏明确的认识。大部分写作练习表现为简单机械的抄写，学生容易完成，老师易于批改，但写作内容与学生生活缺乏练习。

3、母语文法的束缚

小学生刚刚接触英语，在表达的过程中难免受到母语的构词法、语法和思维方式的影响，用汉语的方式组词或组句，以至于出现大量的文法错误，让人啼笑皆非。

the longing summer vacation is approaching, it is the best part of the school year for me. i cannot let the holidays elapse (逝去) meaninglessly, my vacation should be a phase (时期、阶段) of harvest. the events in my plan should give me a sense of infinite potential.

movies. The Statue of Liberty is one of the symbolic building, which represents

America. The statue is a gift to the people of United States from people of

Today, the meaning of this statue is admitted by the world and when people see

it, they think of freedom. On the right hand, the woman holds a torch and on her

有一次，我去朋友家玩，看到朋友在玩平衡车，又想到了摔跤的情景，朋友让我试一试，我的心灵却又来捣乱了，它说：“李开心，别上去，会摔跤的。”我一边怕被同学笑话，一边又怕摔跤，最终，我坚强地玩起了平衡车。

My hometown used to be a backwardplace, because it was deep in the

mountains, where there were no nice buildingsand the roads were so narrow and

dirty. People lived a poor life.

While in recent years, with thedevelopment of society, my hometown has been

greatly changed.

Now the roads aregetting much wider. There are many different cars and

buses running on theroads.

Trees and flowers are planted on the two sides of the roads.

They canprovide us with oxygen and fight against the pollutants. So the sky

becomescleaner and brighter. Whats more, you can see many modern and

beautifulbuildings everywhere, and the living conditions are improving. People

areenjoying a comfortable life now.

As is known to us all, the most precious thing in the world is nothing but

“today”. Therefore, it is necessary and significant for us to manage our time

efficiently. There are some suggestions and methods to manage our time.

First, the most important thing is to know and understand how we have spent

and managed our time before. Only in this way can we know in which we have

wasted our time. We can do this by sorting out all things we do every day and

then select the necessary thing and the wasted time.

Second, after the first step, what we should do is choosing the correct

time. As the saying goes, “to choose time is to save time”. For one thing, we

have to know and understand that which period we have more efficiency and have

better quality in work or study so that we know how to make our schedule. For

another, it is better to do the most important and urgent thing first in that we

barely have enough time to finish all task within a day.

Last but not the least, it is valuable to take full advantage of our

leisure time tiny pieces of time. For example, we can do some reading when we

are waiting for a bus, or we can practice our listening on our way to

school.

To sum up, time, like water in sponge, can be squeezed out if we like.

Therefore, take full use of our time in that it is essential to lead a full and

happy life.
