据我从网上了解，自1950年到1980年30年间，全世界有一半以上的森林面积被毁，其中非洲的二分之一林地变成不毛之地。绿色植被是大自然赠于人类的“生命之被”。可是，世界进入20世纪50年之后，人和动物赖以生存的绿色环境遭到破坏，绿色植被正在衰退，全球土壤失量现以增加到每年254亿吨，沙漠化土壤正以每年5-7万平方公里的速度迅速扩展。

Habits

Habits, whether good or bad, are gradually formed. When a person doesa certain thing again and again, he＇ll be obliged to do it in the same way by some unseen force. Thus habit is formed. I went to visit the Great Wall with my friends during the summer vacation.

We went there by bus. It took us about two hours to get there. It was hot and

windy that day. There were thousands of people. When we saw a group of

foreigners,we went up and talked with them. We told them lots of history of the

Great Wall. They were very surprised when they saw that our English were

exellent and we knew a lot about the Great Walls history. They thanked us a lot

and we really had a good time. We felt proud of ourselves and being Chinese.
