吃完团圆饭，除夕夜也悄悄地来了。我们这里除夕要守岁，虽然不用守一整夜，但不过十二点不能睡觉。午夜时分，家家都要“除天行”，也就是要放鞭炮，放礼花。漆黑的天空一下子变得亮了起来，好像白天一样，鞭炮声震耳欲聋，经久不绝古老的小镇便洋溢在浓浓的节日氛围中。

正月初一的早上家家都要吃饺子，饺子也叫“元宝”预示着招财进宝。街道也不像以前那样人来人往，车水马龙但不时从门缝里飘出的饭菜香味和人们的欢声笑语诉说着人们的幸福美满。

正月初二要给自己的长辈和亲戚拜年，去时一般会带上一些礼品，表达祝福之意。

正月十五元宵节又是家乡春节期间的一个重要节日，家家都要吃元宵。吃元宵表示我们大家团团圆圆，和和美美。

家乡的春节是快乐的，最快乐的也是我们小孩子了。我们可以拿到许多的压岁钱，又不用做作业，还能自由自在的放鞭炮，每一声震耳欲聋的鞭炮声，都伴随着我们的欢笑。

The Spring Festival is very important to Chinese people. In the past，people could not often have meat，rice or other delicious food. They could only eat these during the Spring festival. So every year they hoped that the Spring Festival would come soon. Now， although people‘s life is much better，and we can eat the delicious foods everyday. People still like the festival. Because most people can have a long holiday，and we are free to go on a trip or visit our friends or have parties with our family. In the evenings，we can have a big meal in the restaurant or stay at home with family and watch the TV programs.

Today is Arbor Day, lili came to a sunny and beautiful place. She took the bucket and the spade, and first planted the tree in a green meadow, then watered it, and then pulled the weeds. After the tree was planted, lili came to pull weeds and water every morning. Some days later, lily came to the pleasant place. She saw that the saplings had grown up. The birds are singing happily, the butterflies are dancing in the trees, the flowers and grass nod happily. Last Saturday--April 28th, my classmates and I went to the park near my school. Can you guess what we did there?Not for amusement but to take part in a volunteer labour.

We reached the park at nine oclock. The whole class was divided into three groups. I was in Group Three.

Each group had different tasks. Group One planted trees and watered flowers. Group Two was told to pick up litter left by the tourists and cleaned all the benches. The group that I was in wiped all the equipment in the Childrens Playground. All of us worked hard.

Before noon we finished working. Each of us felt a little bit tired, but we were happy because we had done a good deed.
