My Spring Festival isecial. My uncle and my aunt came back from Shanghai. My family were very happy to keep the Spring Festival with them. And it was the most exciting festival of all the festivals.

大年初一下午，我、李紫东、王奔一起去参加厂工会组织的迎新春游园活动。

我们来到游园场所，发现那里人山人海、热闹非凡。那么多项目，我该选哪个?我扫视全场，发现参加用球砸水瓶这个游戏人最少，于是我先去玩这个游戏，它的规则是：用脚踢篮球，如果篮球把一米外的所有水瓶都撞倒，就可以获得奖品。开始前我先深呼一口气，然后用球瞄准了最中间那个水瓶，再用力一踢，耶，水瓶全都倒下了!初战告捷，我高兴地跳了起来，欢天喜地去领了奖品。随后，我又参加摆象棋的游戏。只要把一副象棋的棋子全部摞起来，不倒就算赢了。我先慢慢一个一个地摆，等摆到很高的时候，突然发现中间有一个棋子没有摆正，已经有点倾斜了，我小心翼翼地挪了下这个棋子的位置，可“哗啦”一声摆好的棋子全部倒了，散了一桌子。我只好重新摆，这次我吸取了上次太慌张的教训，气定神闲地把棋子摆好了，得到的奖品是一个本子。

之后，我又去参加“蒙眼敲锣”的游戏。游戏规则是：用红布把自己的眼睛蒙上，原地转三圈，再用手里的锤子敲中对面树上挂的锣，就ok。我觉得挺简单的，以为只要一直往前走就可以了。谁知，当我的眼睛蒙上红布，转过三圈后，人就蒙了。不知道该往哪个方向走，就随便走了，一边走一边摸，可走了一会儿，心想：咦，走了这么长时间，怎么还没有碰到树呢?这时候，旁边的人才告诉我说：“你已经走错方向了”。我立马返回到开始的位置，这次我换了一个方向走，只走了三步，突然碰到一个东西，一摸，原来是树，我大喜过望 ，再摸，可树上没有锣，怎么回事?这时有人提醒我说：锣在你左边那棵树上。我赶紧往左走了一两步，用锤子一敲，果然敲中了，我忍不住欢呼，乐滋滋地去领了一个套尺。然后，我又参加了猜谜语、打羽毛球、夹核桃、接乒乓球……

时间过得真快，游园活动很快结束了，我拿着一兜子战利品开开心心地回家了，同时也很期待明年的游园活动快点到来。

However, legend has said that the new year has not always been a time of festivity. An Asian Chinese story told a chilly start to this festive holiday, it begins with an ancient Chinese beast called Nian.

Every New Year Nian would rise from swelling in the sea to ravage Chinese village in livestock and hurting people. The villages soon found out from a wise gray-haired old man that the only way to scare the beast away was to set off firecrackers and light lamps and to hang red banners on each door. As the story goes, this was the beginning of a tradition that would last thousands of years.

So this story leads to the creation of many of other traditions for celebrating Chinese New Year. lets take a look at some of these traditions.

The Spring Festival is our traditional festival, the common saying is that it is a new year.
