However, as things stand today, this small amount of fresh water, which is constantly being replaced by rainfall, is still enough for us. But our need for water is increasing rapidly-- almost day by day. Only if we take steps to deal with this problem now can we avoid a severe worldwide water shortage later on. A limited water supply would have a bad effect on agriculture and industry. Let me give you just one small exampie of how necessary water is to industry. 一般雾都是跟纯牛奶一样，是乳白色的，而霾是灰色的，还有点儿呛鼻。我对雾，霾并不了解，所以我今天特意上网查了一下。哦，原来是这样啊，雾是有大量悬浮在近地面空气中的微小水滴或冰晶组成的气溶胶系统，是近地面层空气中水汽凝结的产物。雾的存在会降低空气透明度，使能见度恶化，如果目标物的水平能见度降低到1000米以内，就将悬浮在近地面空气中水汽凝结物的天气现像称为雾。

霾也称灰霾，空气中的灰尘，硫酸，硝酸，有机碳氢化合物等粒子使大气混浊，视野模糊并导致能见度恶化。随着空气质量的恶化，阴霾天气现象出现增多，危害加重。近期我国不少地区把阴霾天气现象并入雾一起作为灾害性天气预警预报。统称为“雾霾天气”。

雾霾能使人“旧病复发”，因为雾霾里包含细菌，灰尘和病毒等污染物，再加上人为地工业废气，汽车尾气等，严重影响人们的身体健康。现在，我们班里的一些同学得了重感冒，做什么事都无精打采，一副病怏怏的样子。所以大家一定要保护已经千疮百孔的地球啊，保护环境，从我做起，让蓝天白云永远陪伴着我们!

在学校里，老师常常会交给我们一些保护眼睛的有效方法，例如写作业时手要离笔尖一寸，肚子要离桌面一拳，头要离书本一尺，要在正确的地方看书，而且还要经常做眼保健操。但这些却最容易被同学们忽视。

到底是什么让戴眼镜的人飞快增加呢?这个问题在我的脑海里不停地转悠。后来，我观察了很长的时间，也从网上查了资料，最终得出了结论。第一大原因：不用科学的方法去保护眼睛。有的同学长时间的看书、上网、看电视，使眼睛经常处于疲劳状态，并且不注意眼睛卫生。虽然我们学校要求同学们都要按时做眼保健操，但一部分同学还是不好好做，有的还躲在桌子底下。第二大原因：基因遗传。有的父母是近视眼，并遗传给了自己的孩子。不过这种情况好象不多，“小眼镜儿”往往是因为不爱惜眼睛造成的。

最后奉劝大家：我们一定要爱惜自己仅有的这一双眼睛，使我们的每一天都充满光明!
