一.名词

写作中，学生们常把握不好名词的数、所有格以及一些集合名词的用法。

1.Hegavemeaverygoodadviceyesterday.

句中的a要去掉，因为advice是不可数名词。一些汉语概念为可数的词在英语中却是不可数的，表示数量时在要其前加apieceof，类似的词有：news,bread,work,paper,chalk,furniture,information等等。

2.Thatgirllovesreadingbook.

可数名词单数不能孤零零地放在句子里，或前面加冠词，或将其变为复数。此处最好变为books.

3.Hewentintoabooksshopandboughtadictionary.

一般表示有生命的东西的名词的所有格用’s，如mymother’scar,而此处适宜用名词修饰名词，改为abookshop.

4.MyfamilyiswatchingTV.

一些集合名词如看成一个整体，则用单数的谓语动词，如Myfamilyisahappyone.如果强调集合中每个个体的个人行为，则用复数的谓语动词。此处看电视是个体行为，应把is改为are。类似的词有：team,class,audience等。

5.Iboughtsomepotatosandtomatosatthesupermarket.

中学阶段，以“o”结尾的名词中有四个词变复数时要加es，它们是tomato,potato,Negro,hero;其余的都加s变为复数。

6.Thishasnothingtodowiththeirbelieves.（这和他们的信仰没关系。）

以f,fe结尾的词变为复数时一般去f,fe加ves，如knife—knives,

thief—thieves;而roof和belief直接加s变为复数。所以应把believes改为beliefs.

二.冠词

7.Thebosswantstohireanusefulperson.

用a还是an，取决于后面单词音标中的第一个音，如为元音用an，为辅音用a。useful的第一个音是辅音所以应把an改为a。类似的，我们说aEuropeancountry.

8.Planeisamachinethatcanfly.

plane为可数名词单数，不能单独放在句中，应在其前加冠词或把它变为复数，而本句后有amachine,因此只能在其前面加a，变为Aplane。

9.Heplayedapianoatthepartyyesterday.

把a改为the，因为乐器前用定冠词。

10.Themachinewasinventedin1920s.

在in后加the，因为表示年代用in加the再加几十的复数，如在八十年代inthe80s。

11.XiaoHongwenttoschoolbythebuseveryday.

去掉the，因为表示交通方式用by直接加交通工具。

三.代词

使用代词时请注意其单、复数，主、宾格以及形容词性物主代词和名词性物主代词的用法。

定语从句的先行词是thosespeakers，为复数，因此从句中的指示代词应为复数，应把his改为their。

13.Whomdoyouthinkhasleftthelightson?

放在疑问句特殊疑问词后的doyouthink/believe/guess/imagine/suppose等都不参与句子成分。本句中去掉doyouthink后缺的是主语，应把Whom改为Who。

14.ThebosspretendednottoseeJohnandI.

John和I在句中都做的宾语，应把I改为me。

15.Thesebooksaremine；thoseinthebagareher.

her是形容词性物主代词，后面应该加名词books，或把her改为hers。

四.数词

16.Therearefourteenhundredsstudentsinourschool.

hundred/thousand/million/score/dozen等词前有具体数字时后不加s，前面没有具体数字时在其后加s和of，表示大约几百几千的概念。如two

hundredstudents（两百个学生），hundredsofstudents（成百上千个学生）。例句中应把hundreds改为hundred。

17.Theirschoolistwiceaslargerasourschool.

表倍数关系的as...as中间只能用形容词或副词的原级。因此应把larger改为large.

18.Today’shomeworkisafive-hundred-wordscomposition.

几个单词由连字符连接而组成的复合形容词中的名词只能用单数，所以把five-hundred-words改为five-hundred-word.

19.TwothirdofthestudentsinourschoolarefromAmerica.

英语表达中分数的分子用基数词，分母用序数词，分子大于一时分母后要加s，所以就把third改为thirds.

五.形容词和副词

形容词和副词容易被误用，形容词和副词的比较级和最高级也是应注意的重点。

20.Thepatientappearednervouslywhenhetalkedtothedoctor.

appear在此是个系动词，其后应接形容词作表语。所以应把nervously改为nervous.

21.Theartistworkedhardlytofinishhisdrawingsontime.

此句需要一个副词来修饰，hardly是副词，但意为“几乎不”，hard也可以是副词，表努力，因此把hardly改为hard.

22.Thisshirtismorecheaperthanthatone.

more只构成比较级，而不能修饰比较级。因此把more去掉。

两者相比较时，比较级前用定冠词，三者或三者以上才用most，因此把most改为more.

表不如?...时用less加上形容词和副词的原级，因此把harder改为hard.

fairly只能修饰形容词和副词的原级，可以修饰比较级的副词或短语有：much,even,still,far,alot,alittle,abit,any,no,byfar,rather等，因此把fairly改为rather.

as?as中间的词序是as加上形容词加上a(n)加上名词再加上as，因此应改为asinterestingastoryastheone.

同样的事物才能相比较，weather和不具有可比性，因此应改为Theweatherhereisnicerthanthatof.

这个词组为wouldratherdo?thando?，因此把went改为go.

修饰anything,something,everything,nothing的形容词都要放在它们的后面。

像never之类的副词在句中应放在be动词、助动词之后，实意动词之前。因为应改为Ihaveneverseensuchapersonbefore.

sure的主语只能为人，而certain的主语可为人和物。因此把sure改为certain.

wait为不及物动词，需加介词for后才能再跟名词或代词做宾语。

学校举办了《永远的丰碑》演讲比赛，由我们班打头。我们一边练习演讲，一边盼望着比赛快点到来。今天早上，我们几个人就要上台演讲了，我心里却非常紧张，像打鼓一样。同班的好朋友钟雪霞告诉我：“不要紧张，要对自己充满信心，这样才能取得优秀成绩。”听了钟雪霞讲的话，我心里平静多了。

到了比赛的时间，我鼓起勇气，大胆地走上台去，演讲的内容是《丰碑》，我都背得滚瓜烂熟了。看到台下黑压压的一片人头，我的心跳又加快了，像要跳出来似的。我想起了钟雪霞告诉我的话——“不要紧张”，紧张的心又平静了下来，我勇敢地看着大家，有感情地朗读完了整篇稿子，没有打绊子，说到军需处长被冻僵时，我心里很难受，有点想掉眼泪，我很敬佩他，我忘了自己是在比赛。

在大家暴风雨一样的掌声中，我回到了班上，心仍然在剧烈地跳着，我用手按着它，怕它会跳出来，因为我太激动了。我很感谢钟雪霞对我的鼓励，是她教我做什么事都要对自己充满信心。有了那一次演讲比赛的经历，现在无论遇到什么比赛，我都不会紧张了，因为我对自己充满了信心!

突然，电话铃声响起了，我欣喜的看了看来电人的名字，很快的就按下了接听键，“喂!是C吗?”你现在在哪里啊?快到了吗?”还有多久阿?”我对着听筒那边的C问道。

“那个……小Z呀!真是不好意思啊!我今天不能来了，我感觉有点不舒服，可能是感冒了吧!”说罢，我便听到一阵咳嗽声。

我有些失望，说：“那算了吧，下次再来好了，你自己要注意身体哦。”

“蒽，拜拜了。”

“嗯，拜……。”我最后一个字还没说出口，便听见那边传来的挂断的电话声。

我看了看屏幕已经暗下去的手机，失望的将它放进了包里，才发现距离约定的时间也已经过去了半个多小时了，天空也开始下棋了蒙蒙的细雨，空气里蔓延着樱花甜腻却很清新的味道。这时，我旁边的老奶奶站了起来，走向一位迎面走来的中年男子，那名男子西装革履的，鼻尖因为跑动的关系留下了几滴汗珠。

“这位先生，这是你刚才丢的公文包吧!。”说罢，便将包递了给了那人，只见那名中年男子脸上是一阵惊喜，接过包，大概看了看包，确定是自己的包后，连忙谢道：“谢谢你了，老奶奶，这里面装着公司几百万的合同呢，刚才真是急死我了，要是丢了，后果真是不堪设想。”男子心存感激的向老奶奶深深的鞠了一躬，老奶奶连忙说道：“我也只是碰巧看到你不小心的将包留在了这里，本来是想给你的，结果你走太快了，我这老婆子跟不上了。”老奶奶笑道，继续说道：“我就在附近转转，看能不能碰上你，这不，就遇见你了吗?我的孙子也是整天忘这忘那的，真是不让人省心……”话还没说完，中年男子便递给老奶奶一叠厚厚的百元大钞，“老奶奶，这是今天感谢您老人家的帮忙，你就收下，去买点东西吧。”“这可不行，这只是一件小事而已，举手之劳，”连忙用手阻挡，谢绝了他的好意，“我该去接孙子回家了，年轻人，下次做事仔细点，别粗心了。”说完，便转身走了，男子看着老奶奶离去的背影，笑了笑，也转身离开了。看着这一幕，我心底里不仅对老奶奶生起了一股敬佩之情……

后来，在无意之中我得知，其实那天C并没有生病，她欺骗了我，可是又能怎么样呢，事情已经过去了，就让它停留在记忆的深处吧!只是想起那天的老奶奶，我的嘴角却情不自禁的上扬了。

Skiing is a desirable activity fro＇ young people. It provides the excitement that the youth is commonly seeking. The skiers can enjoy the thrill of gliding at tremendous speed down a gleaming,white mountain slope. Often, with split second tinting, they must dodge trees, stumps, and rocks——or find themselves suddenly sprawling in the snow. If they have more than average skill, they can sall through the air in breathtaking leaps and jumps that bring excitement to the onlookers as well. True, there is danger in this excitement,but that is a risk the youth enjoys. Furthermore, skiing is healthful.

It provides exercise, often very strenuous as the skiers trudge up a mountain path or work their way on skis up a slope of deep snow. The best of skiers know that they need strong muscles to successfully control their skis, so they exercise to keep themselves physically fit. Another desirable feature is the companionship that usually develops wherever skiers gather. Friendships grow quickly on the slopes and in the usual nearby shelter where the skiers find food, warmth, and rest. Their experiences of the day and their youthfulness easily draw these people together in happy fellowship.

I have some good advice for your work。 If you can do the following things， you will succeed in doing everything。

Firstly， whatever you do， you must be punctual and hard—working。 If you sow a good seed， you will get a good harvest。 If the seed is in poor quality， the harvest will also be very bad。 And if you sow nothing， you will get nothing at all。 Nothing。

Secondly， you must be honest。 As honesty is the moral tuition that everyone should have。 If you treat other people friendly and sincerely， others will also respect you。
