whats your plan for dragon boat festival?

As a chinese, I was really ashamed of having a little knowledge of dragon boat festival. Perhaps I was born in northern city, though my city is nearby sea, it has been built a U port which I can only see cargo ships and cant see the sweeping ocean. So I have never see the dragon boat contest since I was born. So the dragon boat festival is just a holiday for eating Zong Zi. My mother made Zong Zi when I was a child. Because there was no supermarket, we couldnt buy finished product from market. However, now, we can buy anything in supermarket, so my mother didnt make them anymore. The boat festival began to fade out my mind.

In reality, young people began to have a bug to celebrate foreign festivals, such as Christams, Saint Valentines day, April Fools Day, some people also celebrate Easter in church. I read the Chinese version of “Camille” a few years ago. At that time I was deeply moved by the main character Marguerite Gautier. “Camille” or “The Lady of the Camellias” by Alexandre Dumas, fils, is the story of Marguerite Gautier, a young courtesan, or kept woman, in Paris in the mid 1800s, and how she falls in love with a young man, Armand Duval, and then tries to escape from her questionable past. Unfortunately, it comes back to haunt her and she ends up returning to that life and dies painfully and alone, but with the knowledge that she was a noble woman at heart. When I first began to read the book, I did not care for Marguerite or her attitude or lifestyle, but as I got further into the narrative, I realized that her saucy attitude was a front to cover the lonely woman that she really was. She felt used, abused and unloved, until the gentle Armand Duval came into her life and showed her that he loved her as a person and not for what she could do for him. It must have taken great courage for Marguerite to leave the life she had lived for so long, knowing all along that it was probably too good to be true and would not last indefinitely. And it also showed that Marguerite really loved Armand Duval for she could even change herself for him.

However, happiness didn’t last for long. When M. Duval, Armands father, came to her, pleading for her to leave Armand to save both Armands reputation and that of his younger innocent sister, Marguerite saw a way to become pure of heart, if not in body. She felt that it was her duty, because she loved Armand so much, to do this even though it meant giving up her own happiness and hurting Armand temporarily. She reluctantly returned to her former life, knowing that some day Armand would forgive her. Sadly, she died in debt and basically alone, except for her one female friend, Julie Duprat, who helped her during her illness. She had her journal sent to Armand after her death, explaining why she had made the choices she had. I think Dumass last few lines about Marguerite being the exception, not the rule were quite true, and I also agreed with his view that while her lifestyle could not be condoned, we as a society assume that all of these type of women are cold and heartless, while this may not always be the case. A person can make the wrong choices in life when they are young, and try to redeem themselves, but sometimes past situations prevent them from changing their lives, even though they desperately wish to do so. This applies to both men and women in many different types of circumstances: involvement in crime; drug or alcohol abuse; gambling; prostitution; financial problems; poor marriage choices; etc. And this is the fact, which exists in the whole society.

As far as the other characters in the book, I think Marguerite was right in saying that no one truly cared about her, but only wanted something from her, the only exceptions being Armand and Julie Duprat. Of course, the Comte de G. and Comte de N. wanted her body and appearance. The Duke needed to “wake up and smell the coffee” and realize that she could never replace his dead daughter. If he truly cared, he could have helped her leave her lifestyle without “keeping” her himself. And lastly, Prudence was a blood-sucking leech who used Marguerite almost worse than the men. I also think she was jealous of the fact that Marguerite had so much more courage than herself and someone truly loved her.

南方的夏天总是让人胸口闷得像随时会爆炸。一团又一团的黑虫子爬满了心脏，在寻找一个开口，摄取新鲜血液。对于像奈这样的高四学生来说，再也不能失败。大家在教室忙完沉闷的每一天，然后奔出教室，等待着来给自己送饭的父母。唯独奈，静静坐在教室里，低下头，奋笔疾书。他不愿想起父亲，在失业多年后终于被母亲抛弃，变成一个满脸胡碴酗酒的男人。他常常打奈，吼他滚出去找回他的母亲。

于是，奈学会了抽烟、酗酒、打架。他以为生活一直会这样下去，直到高三时，一个叫洛洛的女孩出现在他的身边。

那是又一个午后，酗酒的父亲又一次对他拳打脚踢，忍无可忍的他终于奋起反抗。然而，当他抹着嘴角的血迹跑出家门的时候，一个女孩光着脚站在隔壁打开的门前，轻声但一字一顿地说：你就不能为自己活着吗?想要摆脱苦难，就得奋起!奈迅速跑掉了。

过了几天，他竟然发现那个女孩与他同在一栋教学楼。他再一次拿起书本，坐在教室的角落里慢慢地翻着，那个女孩则利用课余时间过来给他补课。她叫洛洛，一位优秀的应届生。

尽管他一年来尽心竭力，但无情的高考还是那么冷静、公允。奈送洛洛上火车的时候，说：等着我，看我成功的那一天!洛洛笑了，说：我从没想过你有不成功的可能……盯着眼前的花盆，奈忽然想起了一句诗：忆当时，垂柳丝，花枝，满庭蝴蝶儿。这一年来，洛洛不知道，就在她所在的这个城市里，有一个高四生在一直努力着。

当又一年的高考过后，奈提着行李来到了洛洛所在的大学，她却早已等在校门口，对着他，笑出了泪来。更让他没有想到的是，在洛洛的身后，站着那个奈又恨又舍不下的男人。奈抬起头，望了望那天边的红霞，然后对着洛洛说：你真美!

Recently, the movies about the old people happen to have the magic and then

come back to their 20 years old time are very popular. The old people do all

kinds of crazy things that they never have the chance to do. These movies tell

people that given another chance, they will do whatever they want to do. I

always hear my parents said when they retired, they could carry out all kinds of

their plans and enjoyed the life. In my opinion, when we are young , we shuold

enjoy our moment and chase our dream. It is a little to carry out the plans when

we are old. Youth is the advantages.

Nowadays, there are more and more students becoming short-sighted. Some students get short-sightedness when they are little. There are fifteen students wearing glasses in my class. Being short-sighted is common among students, even in primary school. That is too serious. Therefore, we should protect our eyes carefully. When we are reading and writing, we should keep a standard posture. Besides, we should not watch TV or play computer for too long. They are bad for our eyes. And, we should do eyes exercises regularly. A good rest is also important to our eyes. In all, eyes are the windows of our mind. We should keep it healthy.

Hope Project is a Chinese public service project organized by official organization. It aims to help children go back to school, build Hope Primary School and improve rural conditions in poor regions.

In many poor areas in China, there are many school age children cant go to school because their families do not have enough money. As a result, they have to stay at home and help their families do the farm work. We often say that knowledge changes fate. Therefore, only study can help them go to the outside world and change their lives, even change the poor condition of their hometown. Through the Hope Project, much money and books and other materials can be collected to improve the poor conditions.

That makes children can share more resources to get knowledge. Besides, many people in city have a chance and channel to show their kindness. The most important and meaningful is that they can help those children who are desperate in need.

希望工程是由官方组织举办的中国公益项目。该项目旨在帮助孩子们重返校园，建立希望小学以及改善贫困乡村地区的条件。

在中国，很多贫困地区的适龄儿童由于家里没有足够的钱不能去上学。因此，他们不得不待在家帮助家人做农活。我们常常说知识改变命运。因此，只有学习能够帮助他们走出外面的世界，改变他们的生活，甚至是改变他们家乡贫困的现状。通过希望工程，我们可以收集到资金、书籍以及其他材料以改善贫困的现状。这样一来，孩子们就可以分享更多的资源，学到更多知识。

除此之外，城市里的很多人就有机会和渠道显示他们的善良。最重要且有意义的是他们可以帮助那些极需帮助的孩子们。
