mr shao taught me english when i was in senior three.with the bald head and hunchback, the fifty or some man distinguished himself from his counterparts in many ways.

he was so addicted to tobacco that he couldnt even skip acigarette in the corridor at the interval between two classes. due to the long time consumption of cigarettes, his teeth had gone totally bad and occasionally let off unpleasant smell which really disturbed us when we were talking to him. at times, he came to recognize it and consequently found out a solution. he suggested we write down our problems and he answer them in the written form. although i knew all along that he was a careful man, his quotations of five different dictionaries on a single multiple choice problem was still beyond my wildest dream.

whats more, none of us could imagine how ecellent his ancient chinese literature was. what he tended to do in his class was to recite several segments of the famous ancient prose and then put them into english. however, under the pressure of college entrance eam, the students didnt seem to be so interested in his performance. therefore, he tried to stimulate the class by editions of times as prizes for answering questions. it worked on us instantly.

on the day of the entrance eam, he waited nervously with us out of the eamination room. he kept reminding us not to drink water in case that we would feel like going to toilet during the eam. not withstanding his constant claims that we students were far less important than his beloved daughter, we did feel his devotion to us.

firstly,i decide to try my best to learn english .because my english so poor that it affects my other subject.i willface many differences ,such as broadening my vocabulary, training my listening ,improving my write and so on. i must work hard because i dont want to behind the times.

secondly ,i will give up watching football games because every time it takes me two hours ,which makes me not finish my homework .as a student ,study is our duty ,so i wii focused more on study and less on playing . in order to my future ,i will work hard.

My Views on Environmetal Protection

Nowadays, the world we live in is becoming more and more intolerable because of environmental destruction. Each day thousands of tons of gases come out of the exhausts of motor vehicles. Smoke from factories pollutes the air of industrialized areas and the surrounding areas of the countryside. Recently,haze weather has become a usual phenomenon here in large part of China. People are forced to wear the mask to avoid breathing poisonous air. Some people think it is impossible to solve the problem,however,from my opinion,if we find out the reason and take effective measures the environment can be better.

If we trace the cause for haze weather,the main points are as follows,first,our countrys air quality standards are rather lax and evaluation factors are limited,so you will see that current air appraisal system has defects. Second,some people just go for economic interests instead of turning out products according to relevant law and regulations. They tend to use obsolete equipment in which they are more likely to emit a great deal of wasted air. Third,across our society,the awareness of protecting the environment has not built up so that people havent formed a habit of using green product and saving energy as much as possible. If we dont take action to show respect to the environment, we will have to face an increasingly awful situation.

Therefore, effective measures should be taken and laws passed to conserve the environment. In my opinion, to protect the environment, the government must take even more concrete measures. First, people should be educated to recognize the importance of the problems, to use modern methods of birth control, to conserve our natural resources and recycle our products. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the policy of population into practice, because more people mean more pollution. Finally,laws concerning environmental protection should be put into effect and enforce strictly just as our government has been doing. To sum up,if we work together to take out such measures,our environment will get better and better and haze weather will vanish completely.

写下“见习生”三个字的时候，我的心升起一种莫名的遗憾和凄凉!“军训”，我向往已久的期盼被“见习“修饰以后显得那么苍白无力，那不是我想要的生活呀!

很怨恨自己怎么就长了这么一副不争气的脚，想抬抬不起来，摆又摆不正，转又转不动。一种渴望而不可得的悲伤让我再也无言。还能说些什么?

对军训真正的感触只有第一天。尽管咬紧牙关站在绿茵场上，疼痛似千万只蚂蚁在咬蚀我的心，但听着训练场上空荡漾着的那一声声洪亮的呐喊声，看着大家全是汗水但仍旧满是坚毅的脸，以及虽不成熟但很敢于迈出的步伐，我很欢喜。我就是喜欢这种简单、干净、明快、整齐的感觉，没有丝毫的戏谑和恶意的玩笑，大家只有一颗奋斗向上的心：训练时严字当头，休息娱乐时尽情摆第一。就是这么普通重复的训练，却是我的追求!

从现代人的审美观来看，军训可不是啥好事情。皮肤晒干了，黑了，;累得半死不活的，人憔悴、心也累，一点也不值。如果用一种积极向上的心态来看待军训的话，一切也许就是另一种景象了：阳光的洗礼增强了皮肤的抵抗力，黝黑不也是健康美吗;流汗甚至流泪正在让我们体味辛苦的同时，不也让快乐舒适的幸福感更让我们刻骨铭心吗?

或许我不可能再奢望与享受那一份痛并快乐的感觉，但我一定会坚持在操练场边欣赏完这段美丽的风景!

1、大学最重要的是拥有独立思考的能力，特别是在中国。你如何对这个世界有自己的见解;在众说纷纭的说法中有自己的看法;甚至在问别人的问题时，你起码自己有过一定程度的思考。起码你的人是独立的，特别是精神上。在中国这种物质化、从众化和世俗化的社会里，你才有比较清晰的定位。

2、进入大学，就是一个新的环境，接触新的人，你的所有过去对于他们来说是一张白纸，这是你最好的重新塑造自己形象的时候，改掉以前的缺点，每进入一个新的环境，都应该以全新的形象出现。

3、“我是谁?”这是一个角色定位和角色认同问题。对“大学生”这一角色，如果模糊不清，就会出现角色错乱，大一、大二就会变成高四、高五;而如果认同不自信，“University”则成为“由你玩四年”，大学人生有可能成为“大混人生”。

4、“我来做什么”、“该怎么做”，这是个主题定位和态度问题。大学的主题是什么?是单纯求学，两耳不闻窗外事，还是修身求学，一心追求真善美?是做单一型人才还是当复合型人才?是被动求学还是主动奋斗?选择不同，最后文凭的含金量决然不同。

5、“我到哪里去”?这是个定向问题。进入大学，前途选择并没有结束。将来是赶快毕业直接工作，还是考研究生继续深造?将来是进入蓝领、白领还是金领职业层次?不管怎样选择，改变命运的钥匙掌握在自己手里，成功的机遇总是偏爱有准备头脑的人。

6、很多事情别人通知你了，要说谢谢，没有通知你，不要责怪，因为那些事你其实应该自己弄清楚。

7、不论男人还是女人，如果在大学里还把容貌当作重要的东西而过分重视的话，可能不会吃亏，但是早晚会吃亏。可能，很可能，也可以说是一定有可能。

8、千万别迷恋网络游戏。千万!记住我这里用的是千万!!

9、面对不公平的东西，不要抱怨，你的不公平可能恰恰是别人的公平。所以，你不如去努力的奋斗，争取你自己最合适的公平。

10、如果你四年内很少去图书馆的话，你就等于自己浪费了一大笔一大笔财富。所以，经常去那里，随意翻翻，都有收获。

11、男人，你长的可以不帅，但你这个人可以帅，而且，那才是真正得帅。(当然，女人也是同样得道理)所以，不必在穿着打扮上花太多心思。

12、大学可能有真实的爱情，但是记住只是可能。很多时候他们是因为别人都谈恋爱而羡慕或者别的原因而在一起。所以，不必为任何分手而受太大的伤，记住，这里我所说的是太大的伤，真爱，还是值得追求的。

我还想告诉大家，为了迎接你们，几个月来，后勤集团广大员工不辞劳苦，为你们的生活和教学设施进行了精心准备和护理。还有一些志愿者，提前返校来迎接你们，许多新生刚放下行李就加入了“以新迎新”的志愿者行列!他们用行动和付出带来了满园的温馨和友情，诠释了XX人团结互助、乐于奉献的品质，谢谢你们，XX的天使们!

第三个问题是：如何做XX人?

今天的开学典礼，是同学们人生道路上的一个新起点。所以，今天，我要向大家提出的第三个问题是，如何做XX人?

我送给同学们三个英文单词，来表达我的理解和建议。

第一个是passion，激情。激情是成就梦想、追求卓越的一种品质。成长为未来的领导、领军人才必须具有很强的目标或远景，而成就事业者大都是善于自我激励、有强烈进取心的人，还要有常人所缺乏的坚定的信念和献身精神，它会为我们增添更强的发展动力!激情也是一种坚强，成功的路是一条漫长而艰辛的路，我们每个人都会遇到新的思想、新的变化、新的困惑和新的挑战，持久的激情可以忍受寂寞、坚持追求，用蕴涵无限创造力的激情来换取学习和工作成就!激情还是一种热爱，我们都要常怀感恩之心，在心中不断积蓄对自己、家人、同学、师长的爱，构建起对社会和国家的爱。我建议你们，从自己做起，多关注自己的朋友和同学，用爱去欣赏自己、包容别人，用爱去淡薄名利、学会沟通、建立友谊，我相信，你们的求学激情和对生活的热爱将与你们的成功成正比!

第二个是duty，责任。我们不仅要对自己负责，而且还要对家庭、朋友负责，以后还要对国家和社会的责任，而高尚与卓越的基础就是责任。也许，有时你可能会作出错误的选择，然后你就得承担后果，但当你作出决定并承担由此带来的后果时，你也会变得更成熟、更自信，这对你的未来是有益的。但缺乏责任会使我们的行为无所约束、随波逐流，忽视进取和方向，而且失去责任更会使我们失去人的最基本品质——诚信!实际上，你们选择了XX，就是选择了你一生的责任。希望你们，从不找借口找方法开始，积极实践，培养独立思考和质疑精神，养成勇于担当的责任和舍我其谁的气魄，实践XX人“德才兼备、知行合一”的品质!我坚信，如果XX人能找到勇气改变自己，他就能改变世界!

第三个是honor，荣誉。崇尚荣誉一直是XX文化传统的基本要素。半个多世纪以来，XX人坚持“敢为人先、爱国荣校”，怀着一种强烈的荣誉感、责任感与使命感，培养出一大批优秀人才，为国家和经济社会发展作出了实质性贡献。希望你们，把“立德、立功、立言”作为至善、至坚、至信的人生追求，立服务社会、造福天下之大“德”，为祖国和人民“立功、立言”。我相信，你们会志存高远，会持续地唤起自己所拥有的勇气和创造活力，去实践你们的梦想，捍卫你们的荣誉，你们未来的成功将会取决于你们将困难转化为成功的能力!

同学们，新的生活要实践新的使命，我还希望大家记住，成功的先决条件，就是要有一生的健康保证，希望同学们在XX至少掌握一种体育技能，让健康成为你一生的伙伴!

As we know, many people favor the idea that the college life is free and

comfortable, but I’d like to say it’s not true. As a matter of fact, my life in

university is so busy that I wonder if my energy is enough. As to my college

life, I divide it into four parts, including study, student activities, library

and the others.

Firstly, I want to talk about the study. In my opinion, study is the

priority in college. When I received the letter of admission in summer, I knew

clearly that what I should do. So I make up my mind to study hard and pursue

learning as much as possible. I’m greatly convinced that knowledge can change my

life. Therefore, I often go to the quiet study room where many people study

there. By working so hard, I get good grades in the exams.

Secondly, student activities play an important role in our college life. To

be honest, the student Union is a good place where one can develop social

skills, get his abilities trained. I take part in many student activities. For

example, I’ m a volunteer, teaching the kids to learn to dance and write. I

think it’s meaningful for everyone to give a hand to others. I can also do some

jobs in the Student Union, including receiving and sending fast mail, selling

papers and magazines. I think they’re unforgettable and worthwhile experiences

for me.

Thirdly, I also visit the library constantly. It’s said that “shelves of

books, oceans of knowledge”, so I read books that I’m interested in. In this

way, I can share stories with my new friends and it also changes my horizons

.When I’m sad, lost or in trouble, staying the library makes me quiet and

comfortable. After all, every life has bad moments as well as good ones, and the

library for me is a support in bad moments. So it’s wise choice for me to stay

in the library.

Finally, I often do other things in my spare time. In order to alleviate

parents’ burden, I often do some part-time jobs and write some articles to earn

money. It helps me to be independent and improve my social skills.

In short, my life in university is busy but valuable. You can see that

study brings me knowledge, student activities improve myself, library changes my

horizons, the others things make me independent. They get all my abilities

trained. And I see that the chance will come only if you have a prepared mind,

so I’m sure that I can achieve my dreams in college life.

一、要做好观念、角色的转变

北京大学校长许智宏说，新生首先要适应新环境。“美国很多大学在新生阶段淘汰率很高，我们的学生也应该注意对新环境的适应和过渡。”

四川大学校长谢和平说，新生们跨入校门就意味着真正走向社会，要注意从高中生到大学生的角色转换，树立远大的人生目标并为之奋斗。

北京邮电大学校长林金桐说，新生入学后要“拓宽视野，把眼光从家庭转向社会，从中国转向世界，从中华民族转向全人类。这三个转变是一个人真正成熟的标志。”

南开大学校长侯自新说，新生要树立远大理想，“要有为振兴中华做出自己贡献的历史责任感”。

二、要注意学习方式、内容的转变

复旦大学校长王生洪说，要珍惜在大学的学习机会。现在的社会对人力资源的要求更高，也给年青人提供更大的发展空间。大学生应利用上大学的机会很好地充实自己的知识，发展自己的能力。

侯自新说，大学的学习方式与高中时有很大不同，要积极适应大学生活，踏踏实实地学习，从基础开始。同时注意德、智、体、美全面发展。

清华大学校长顾秉林说，大学的学习最主要是靠自觉，比如课堂上、同学之间相互学习，边研究边实践学习等。理工科学生要加强人文学科的学习，文科学生也要加强科学素质修养。

西安交通大学校长郑南宁说，大学中的学习内容与中学有所不同，当然也有一定延续性。新生们可以适当提前了解大学课程设置和内容，准备一些必要的工具书和参考书籍。

三、要学会独立生活，融入集体

顾秉林说，要在生活上，新生们要增强自我管理能力。遇到问题时主要靠自己调整、解决，要承担起应负的责任。在为学之前，应首先学会为人。

王生洪说，大学的环境相比中学有很大变化，大学更强调独立。应更积极、主动地适应并融入到大学环境里去。多找老师谈想法，多向高年级同学讨教。

谢和平说，新生们大多出生于上世纪80年代，要注意从以“自我”为中心向以“集体”为中心的转变，关怀他人，关注社会，多一份社会责任感。

校长们表示，能考上理想的大学很不容易。然而，考上大学并不是目标，应看作吸取新知识和培养自己各种能力的一个机会。上大学后千万不能放松，要继续努力学习。同时，还要多了解社会，参加实践，争取思想上的进步与综合素质的提高。从高分到高层次、高素质是一个艰苦的过程，有很长的路要走。

A new year,a new start, when I stand on the edgeof a new year, I cant help thinking about my plan of next year.

Just as the old saying:"Well began is thehalf of the success.” So I decide that I should be at work while the others are still relaxing, and then,at the beginning,Im quicker than the others and ofcourse I will get better result than the others.

But, what I really decide to do is that I must make good of any time I can spare though it seems impossible. While,I will do my best to live up with what I have planned, and the result will prove it.

本来天气正值酷热难耐之时，但太阳公公怜惜我们每一个娇弱的学生。悄悄躲在云层里，偶尔吹过的风还带着一丝清凉。午后的操场上，一个个绿色的方阵整齐地排列着，似乎对一切都不屑一顾，心中有的是一股劲头。一张张略显稚气的脸庞，此刻透着的是一股子绝不服输的坚毅。这里有的是坚强与懦弱的较量，是肉体与意志的抗争，是心灵与灵魂的考验。汗水从发丝巅，从脸颊边慢慢滑落，又很快蒸发的无影无踪，湿透的军装紧紧的粘在皮肤上，引来阵阵麻痒。疲惫与困倦不断地冲击着我们的意志，军训，不仅仅是对肉体的锤炼，也是对我们在人生路上的一次艰巨的挑战。因为我们明白，所以我们坚强。

对于年轻的我们而言，自强，是我们的信念，不屈，是我们的呐喊。嘹亮的口号，坚定的步伐谱写出一首奋勇前进的战歌。也许即使是炙热的太阳也不能叫我们害怕，疲惫的身体也不能让我们倒下。苦，直接吞进肚里;累，用牙齿使劲咬碎，我们绝对不言放弃。不断地挑战自我，不断地超越极限，生命的光芒在此刻绽放出耀眼的美丽。年轻就是永恒的动人。

我们还年轻，我们正值热血愤张的花季，我们有的是力量，我们有的是永不放弃的执着，有的是燃烧的激情，有的是永不言败，生生不息的生命之火。

因为我们明白，所以我们坚强。

I am so looking forward to my college life. I have pictured it thousands of

times in my mind. The free lifestyle and lively parties are always appearing my

mind. The great expectation of campus life endows me a lot of passion to keep

study. After two years’ study, I would find my lifestyle.

The first thing for me is to learn more knowledge. Most students find a way

to release themselves and skip or sleep in the class. They think study is just

the task, so they give up improving themselves and take part in all kinds of

activities, which bring them great joy. The wrong conception about college stage

makes most students miss the best time to equip themselves with skills. I

realize my job and dare not to loose study.

The second thing for me to learn is to make friends by joining activities.

I am a shy girl, but inside my heart, I am so eager to make more friends, so I

choose to join many activities in the spared time. I learn dancing and playing

tennis. The lucky thing is that I know many nice people and we become good

friends, who make my college colorful.
