我一鼓作气，一个劲地往上爬，长城颇陡，有的地方好象是90度的直角，我只有紧抓着犹如救命稻草的护栏，一边爬着，我一观察周围。奇怪，长城上的外国游客数不胜数，而我们中国人却寥寥无几。据我推测，我国的象征――长城早已声名远扬，许多外国友人慕名而来。而我们中国人大多都已来过，再加上今天也不是周末，所以中国人就自然不多了。

以前的英语老师也给我们抄过新概念英语，每周一篇，必须背的。现在看着公众号的文章，能有印象的很少，都忘记了。忘记的还有以前老师的名字。

已经三年了，其实有些想念以前的英语老师。她对我们很好，我们也都喜欢她，每隔一周老师就会给我们放英文电影，看电影的同时还能学学口语和发音。

老师上课的时候也很认真，语法讲的也很详细，以前的英语笔记我现在也保存着，厚厚的一本，也可以算是我的宝典了吧，老师每讲一课单词，都会拓展，每周周三和周五是固定的考单词的日子，老师会叫两名同学在黑板上写，每桌写一次，如果座位上的同学抬头看了黑板就不用继续考了，就直接补考，老师的补考就是晚自习的时候在走廊里听写。

虽然她要求的严了一些，但是那段时间我的英语成绩确实很好，只要跟住老师，英语成绩就不会差，后来老师因为教的好，被别的学校挖走了。

不知道她现在怎么样，如果我看见她的话，一定会大声喊“英语老师！”

守旧创新两重天

继承创新不可少。墨守成规不善于创新只会在社会上无立足之地，但一味的改变不继承又会缺乏依据，成为无本之木，无水之源。因此继承与创新并用才能更好的发展。中国与印度分别是四大文明古国之一。他们都有着人口众多，经济与科技发展较晚的弱势。但与埃及不同的是，他们在继承已有成果的基础上，加以创新，打开国门，吸收国外的技术和理念。他们的继承与创新使原来古老的国家焕发了青春和活力，在某些领域走进了世界前沿。因此继承是实现超越的基石，是进步的踏板，在继承之上勇于创新，才会获得可持续发展的动力。

A man may usually be known by the books he reads as well as by the company

Books possess an essence of immortality. They are by far the most lasting

products of human effort. Temples and statues decay, but books survive. Time is

of no account with great thoughts, which are as fresh today as when they first

passed through their author’s minds, ages ago. What was then said and thought

still speaks to us as vividly as ever from the printed page. The only effect of

time have been to sift out the bad products; for nothing in literature can long

survive e but what is really good.

Books introduce us into the best society; they bring us into the presence

of the greatest minds that have ever lived. We hear what they said and did; we

see the as if they were really alive; we sympathize with them, enjoy with them,

grieve with them; their experience becomes ours, and we feel as if we were in a

measure actors with them in the scenes which they describe.

The great and good do not die, even in this world. Embalmed in books, their

spirits walk abroad. The book is a living voice. It is an intellect to which on

More and more middle school students are going to all kinds of training class or getting a tutor at the weekend. There are two different opinions about it.

The origin of this summer festival centers around a scholarly government official named Chu Yuan. He was a good and respected man，but because of the misdeeds of jealous rivals he eventually fell into disfavor in the emperors court.

Currently, some cities are considering a food ban on subways, which has sparked heated discussion. Some people say food should be banned because of the trash and rats they attract. Beyond sanitary and mechanical concerns, food can also cause fights, as was discovered last week by one passenger who criticized a woman eating steamed stuffed bun on the subway.

However, some others are opposed to the idea. They argue that people like eating in the train in the morning because they dont have enough time to eat at their houses or restaurants. Sometimes that may be the only time or meal a transit rider may be able to eat especially when traveling long distances. Besides, there are people, for example diabetics, who do require food at various times to maintain blood-sugar levels.

Personally, Im against the ban because of the huge inconvenience it would cause to commuters, and the expense involved in enforcing it. Still, I believe we should have a little common courtesy. I think we all have responsibility to try to treat our subway system and fellow riders with respect, and that extends to food as well.
