lamp, guiding you in darkness and helping you overcome obstacles on your way.

otherwise, you will easily get lost or hesitate to go ahead.

direction means objectives. you can get nowhere without an objective in

life.

you can try to write your objective on paper and make some plans to achieve

it. in this way, you will know how to arrange your time and to spend your time

properly. and you should also have a belief that you are sure to succeed as long

as you keep your direction all the time.

Two years ago, I lived in my hometown. It is a beautiful place for me and I

like the life there. Every day, I wake up early in the morning, then I will walk

in the country road with my grandma. We will meet some people and we say hello

to each other. The trees are so green and the water is so clean. I play a lot of

time in the small river. I have the beautiful memory there.

Dear staff，

I am writing to show my sincere gratitude for all of you. Now that I am

home and on my own again I feel extremely happy. During the time I lived at the

Rehabilitation center and was under your tender care, I promised myself I would

write a letter of thanks as soon as I was able.

Abundant thanks to each one of you for your patience, expertise and genuine

concern. It was you who helped me believe in myself and gave me assurance that I

could walk again. I would never forget each word you said to me and the things

There was once a boy that liked making things and reading books.

One day he was reading about a book, which tells a little girl called

Cindy; met with a dangerous adventure through the woods. But in it were many

challenges which allowed her to be famous. Mike wanted to be just like the

little girl in the story, but could he do this on his own?

Mike decided to try it, for he read a book about many stories; among them

was a tale that tells if you don’t try it then you will never learn to walk. And

so Mike grabbed his bag and went out his home which just happened to be in the

woods. As he wondered about in the woods, he could not tell which way to go, for

there were too many trees that are all alike. Since he didn’t have a map, he

just turned in circles. At last he found a little passage way which led to a

little bridge.

Mike did not know what was on the other side of the bridge, without even

thinking he began walking. As he crossed the bridge, he found three walls. And

over the other said was a dark cave. Mike did not look at the walls, he began to

walk. But as he approached the first wall, he found one side of it green and the

other yellow. “There must be a trap between these pairs!” he thought. And so he

took a step backward, to his surprise he found a little sign, on the sign were

these word: If you want to go inside the cave, then you must pass these tests.

The first test is that you must be able to find out a wall that will lead you to

a garden. In that garden you must find a four leaved clover and a rose. Mike

started to think about this problem.

He thought of the words which his mother had told him before she died.

“Remember son, green means garden; red means danger, orange means lucky; and

yellow means death.” Mike thought, ‘Green means garden, yellow means death! I’ve

got it! I must go through the green wall!” and so without even saying a word, he

entered the green wall, and there he found a lovely garden, “I knew it! I did

it! Now to find a four leaved clover and a rose.” Mike then began to look for

those things.

At last he found a four leaved clover behind a bush, and a rose near the

fountain. Mike then went through the green wall again, and soon was back where

the two walls were. He then crossed the two walls slowly, “I don’t see why I

would have to get these ingredients? What are they for?” he thought. Suddenly he

came to the second pair of walls. This time, he found a little hole, he thought

to himself, “What should I put inside it? I don’t have anything?” Suddenly, he

found out that he had a four leaved clover and a rose. He put them inside the

hole and then he could walk pass it. “Looks like the four leaved clover and the

rose are helpful to me.”

The last test came to Mike; it was a math problem;

“1+2+3+4+5+6+7…+98+99+100.” “This is easy!” cried Mike. He wrote the answer

“5050.” At last the gate opened and Mike walked inside. He found many materials

and used them to invent things.

Did you know that one day, Mike went out and was hurt by a sharp plant.

During that discovery Mike went to his workshop, and began inventing something.

That time it was 1865, and Mike invented the knife. After that, he invented many

things, and was known as the great inventor Mike.

I like rabbits. They are cute and beautiful. Their eyes are red and their

tails are short. They like eating carrots and vegetables . I have one at home .

It is in a small cage. I often play with it when I am free? ， but it does not

listen to me . It looks unhappy . I think it doesn’t like living in the small

cage . I think I will take it out to the field tomorrow. I will open the cage

and let it run and jump in the open air freely.

I like reading, reading can bring me happiness, and let me learn a lot

of interesting knowledge. I like to read story books best, such as journey to

the west. The Monkey King in this book is clever and brave, not afraid of hard

work, protecting his master, he is a responsible person. And is "journey to the

west" one of the four great classics? Is it interesting? Do you like reading

I have a happy family. My father is a doctor. My mother is a teacher. She

teaches Chinese. I am a student in Grade 7. On Sunday, we often go out for a

It was a long four years. Even after I had actually graduated, the

nightmares began to haunt me, the university would call to say I hadn’t truly

graduated. There had been a mistake and there was just one more class I needed

to take. I was always so relieved to wake up and realize that it had only been a

bad dream. In reality, I had completed every course needed for my degree, and I

was a full-fledged college graduate!

Now, the rest of my life loomed ahead of me. Sometimes a bachelor’s degree

prepares you for a specific occupation——you train to be an accountant, you

graduate and get a position in an accounting firm. Often, however, your stint in

college only prepares you to make further decisions regarding your future.

You’re pretty sure what you don’t want to do!

During my senior year of college, I had toyed with the idea of changing my

major. At that point, I had finally discovered what captured my heart. But,

wanting to finally be finishing school was a stronger pull. So, I took a few

courses in physiology and exercise science, but not enough to receive a degree

in physical therapy. That would require advanced schooling, beyond my bachelor’s

degree——and I just wasn’tready to tackle that. Having completed my B.C. degree,

I didn’t have any intentions of furthering my education.

So, I did the safe thing and got an office job——the very thing I was sure

that I didn’t want to do! I detested the office policies, the suits I had to

wear and the downtown environment that I had to drive to every day. I knew this

was not where I belonged.

But god knew what path my career was to follow. A position opened up at the

most exclusive health club in our city, so I applied. This was my kind of

environment——an active, vibrant kind of place——completely at the opposite end of

the spectrum from the office environment where I found myself. The position

required that I work Saturday nights and Sunday mornings. Perfect, I thought! I

could keep my office job Monday through Friday and work at my dream job on the

weekends. This arrangement lasted several months until, eventually, a full-time

position opened up and I was able to resign from my office job.

Over the next few years, I worked my way up the leader, gaining experience

in several different departments. I found my niche as the director of member

services——catering to our clientele and providing them with numerous

cutting-edge programs. I would have stayed at that job forever——it seemed to be

the pinnacle of all my dreams fulfilled. Here were fellow employees who had a

passion for the same things that I did——health and fitness. Yet again, god had

other plans for my life.Within two years, a newer, bigger, better and more

state-of-the-art health club facility was built——just five miles down the road.

And, in turn, the owner lost many members to that club. And, in turn, the owner

lost thousands of dollars. One by one we were each laid off.

After trying unsuccessfully to land another similar position elsewhere, I

knew what I had to do. Go back to school!thanks!

Now, the robbers had a sick plan; and so they took their own gloves, and

put on a glass; after that the sun shone through it which made lots of flames in

the air like a whirl between the south, and the gate opened.

When the robbers escaped, they immediately ran to town; when everybody was

asleep, they crept quietly to Ali Baba’s house, and found some money. The

captain said, “He stole some; let us get him, for I am sure that he is the one

who had the idea!” and then they thought of a clever plan, but they did not know

that Ali Baba, was a thousand times more smart than either of the robbers.

And so once they crept in, they hid in one of the empty jars of oil and

stood there quietly, while the captain of the robbers went to Ali Baba’s room.

After he went in there, he grabbed his sword, and was just about to kill him

when Ali Baba quietly opened his eyes and saw him. He pretended to sleep. And

when the captain of the robbers was tired, he decided to have a rest, and rested

on the floor.

Ali Baba then got up and out a stuffed animal in there, and then got out of

bed and to the jars of oil. When he found out that in it were robbers, he began

to stamp his feet. “Is that you captain?” asked one of the robbers, “Can we come

out now?” “Yes Erik, you can come out,” but before Erik the robber lifted out

his head, Ali Baba grabbed a knife and killed Erik, and then tied the other jars

on his three mules; and threw them into the pond nearby. And so Ali Baba had

killed all of the robbers.

When morning came, the captain of the robbers woke up. When he found that

his other mates were gone, he ran away leaving his sword on the floor. With this

sword Ali Baba trained to be a knight and became richer as he grew older.

I am ten years old now， I am studying in the very beautiful school. The

schoolyard has green trees and colorful flowers around. When I walk into the

school， I feel like I am going into a wonderful land. There is a big playground

there， there are many amusement facilities. I like to play games with my friends

on the playground. I love the beautiful schoolyard.

I have a big family. There are my father, my mother, my brother and I. My

father is manager of company, he start work at eight oclock in the morning. My

mother is staff of company, she start work at eight oclock too. My brother is

student, he go to school at half past seven. I am student too, but I dont have

to go to school,because I live in the school.
