作文第一步是仔细审题，考生要仔细阅读试题要求及相关信息，如图表，图画，数字等，准确把握出题者意图。考研作文忌信手掂来，提笔就写，根本不审题，想到哪儿就写到哪儿，或完全凭自己想象编故事，置考试要求于不顾， “下笔千言，离题万里”。比如1998是一幅卡通画，老母鸡申明外加一首打油诗，讽刺一些企业把该尽职之事作为推销产品的承诺。如果考生说老母鸡很可爱，但爱自夸，然后说自己某个同学也爱自夸，这就偏离主题。2000年的作文“A Brief Histiry of World Commercial Fishing ”.它给出了两张图，从1900年的渔船和鱼量之比到1995年的渔船和鱼量之比的变化谈如何保护渔业资源，应从商业性滥捕鱼这一主题展开话题，有的考生却大谈环境污染，其它英语写作《如何在短期内提高考研英语作文》。这就偏离了主题，因为题中自始自终都没有谈到环境污染问题。

有的同学没有审题习惯，或担心时间不够草草审题，最后发现文不对题，草草收场，这就影响了英语成绩，同时也会影响后两门考试的考试心情。

二、列出提纲

考试规定的时间是很有限的，所以不能花太多时间准备一个详细的提纲，但关键词提纲或粗略提纲还是非常有必要的。对原始材料分析归纳后要形成一个基本的框架。文章打算分几段写，每段大概怎样写，自数控制在多少，开头段落是道破主题，点名要旨，引人入胜还是先给出主题一般的背景情况和对主题进行浓缩的陈述呢，中间段落和结尾有怎样写呢。这些都要心中有数。有的考生习惯用汉语构思文章，逐句翻译提纲，当碰到某个词卡住时就翻译不下去，僵在那里。要注意列提纲是为了更好更全面的表达主题。主题的表达可有多种形式，不一定非要寻找一个特定的词或句子。考试时考生要充分调动大脑，灵活运用以前所学知识。

三、开始写作

一篇文章往往由四部分组成，标题(title)，首段(opening paragraph),主体(body paragraph),结尾段( concluding paragraph)。标题要新颖，能引起读者兴趣，首段的内容根据文章的体裁而变化，比如议论文可以从一种现象，一种观点出发引出作者的观点。记叙文往往交代人物和故事背景。主体是文章的主要部分，通过合适的语篇模式表达一定的观点，考生要围绕中心按一定顺序分层次有重点的展开叙述，描写，议论。结尾段是对全文的总结，论点上要与前面的叙述一致和统一。写作时要注意以下几点。

1、要统一，连贯。

选择那些最能体现中心思想最具代表性的材料，这些材料要共同表达一致的信息。选材时切忌胡子眉毛一把抓。词语堆积，不伦不类。前后及段落之间在逻辑关系上要紧密衔接，不能把没有任何逻辑关系的词放在一起。可以用恰当的关联词把思想连贯的表达出来。

2、用词准确，语法正确

考试时要特别注意语法，此语，语气，标点符号等，为了避免太多单词拼写错误，语法错误，不要为了追求词语的华丽而堆积一些自己也没把握的单词，不要刻意追求长句而写一些自己不知对错的有多个从句组成的长句。考试时最好选择自己最有把握的词汇，短语，句式。

3、足够字数，卷面整洁

绝对不能字数不够，即使一句话颠来倒去说也要凑够字数。字数不够，即使写的非常精彩，也不能拿高分。

四、修改

英语写作时考生由于仓促，紧张等原因，很容易犯一些简单的，一眼就能发现的错误。所以考生一定要留出几分钟时间用于修改。不要大幅度进行修改，更不要因为修改破坏卷面整洁，影响阅卷老师心情。修改时可以从以下几点进行

1、语法

包括时态是否一致，主谓是否一致，名词单复数是否对应，被动主动语态是否错用等

2、词汇

包括连接上下句或段落的关联词，习惯用语，固定搭配，词类混淆，误用及物不及物动词等。

3、拼写和标点符号

时间管理能力是在激烈竞争环境中和多任务压力下，高效能人士的必备能力。

我清楚地知道，时间管理能力的养成和提高不是一蹴而就的，需要不断历练。事情越多越能锻炼时间管理能力。时间管理能力早一天形成，我们就能早一天受益，这也是一种受用终生的能力。

一直以来我都是这样做的，每天早上吃完饭，都会拿一张纸列出“今日计划”。这种方法非常有效，因为只要每天列了计划，我就会一件一件有条不紊地去做，每当做完一项划掉一项时，会很有成就感。记得培养梦蕊养成列计划的习惯是从她小学五年级开始的。每天她放学回来，我都会督促她列出当天要做的事项，包括要完成的各门课程作业以及老师要求做的其他事。梦蕊原来没有列计划时，经常是记着这个，忘了那个，有时会在睡觉前突然发现第二天必须交的作业还没做，把一些原本不紧急的事变成了紧急的事，每天处于紧张焦虑的状态，全家人有时都跟着着急。经过多年的锻炼，梦蕊已经把列计划作为每天必做的事情，把对每天多项事情的时间管理以及实施与完成，当成了一种乐趣和满足。

在梦蕊已经逐渐习惯做每日计划的同时，我鼓励她尝试做每周计划。让她尝试着提前考虑更多的事，把今后要做的事情也纳入计划之中，并根据自己要达到的目标，列出每周重要而又紧急的事情，“安排好大石头”，做好相应的时间计划。在她有时为太多事情而烦恼时，我会鼓励她说：“事情越多越能锻炼或考验一个人的时间管理能力，相信你没问题。”经过多年的实践，梦蕊的时间管理能力得到了快速提升。记得梦蕊刚到美国时，对很多事情都不清楚，缺乏计划性，经常手忙脚乱。尤其在第一个假期回国时，听说I-20表一定要签字，否则就无法再入境，她因为一开始没有做好计划，忘记了，等她想起来，学校已经放假了，最后，在临上飞机的那天早上，紧紧张张地跑到学校堵着老师把字签了回来，好不惊险。而如今，当我问及一些我关心的重要事情，比如房费、电话费等是否要交了（因为如果过期，一来要交罚款，增加成本，二来也是最重要的，信誉可能会受到影响）时，她都会说：“我已经计划好了，我心里有数。”

随着梦蕊时间管理能力的不断提升，她的学习效率也大大提高。记得她上大学第一个学期时，只选了4门课，当时还觉得有点紧，后来却逐渐加大力度，每学期选5门、6门、7门甚至8门课。尤其大学第4年，本来课程就非常难，她为了4年能拿下150个学分，每学期选了8门课，22个学分（据梦蕊讲，一学期修20个学分以上需要学校特批，为此她还专门写了申请）。在她大四第一学期时，我当时确实为她捏了一把汗，尤其在考试期间，最多的时候一天要考3门重量级的课，复习时间的安排就显得非常重要，但她居然顺利过来了，并且仍然保持了各门为A的成绩，这在很多同学和老师看起来是不可能的事。除了学习外，她还生活学习两不误：除了每天管理学习时间外，她还管理生活时间，比如每天一定会把40分钟锻炼时间和7小时睡眠时间纳入时间管理之中，不可动摇。

据梦蕊说，时间管理能力的形成与提升使她受益匪浅，生活学习安排得井井有条，每天过得充实而又有节奏。我为此感到非常欣慰。

在一次上时间管理的课上，教授在桌子上放了一个装水的罐子。然後又从桌子下面拿出一些正好可以从罐口放进罐子里的「鹅卵石」。当教授把石块放完後问他的学生道：「你们说这罐子是不是满的？」

「是，」所有的学生异口同声地回答说。「真的吗？」教授笑着问。然後再从桌底下拿出一袋碎石子，把碎石子从罐口倒下去，摇一摇，再加一些，再问学生：「你们说，这罐子现在是不是满的？」这回他的学生不敢回答得太快。最後班上有位学生怯生生地细声回答道：「也许没满。」

「很好！」教授说完後，又从桌下拿出一袋沙子，慢慢的倒进罐子里。倒完後，於是再问班上的学生：「现在你们再告诉我，这个罐子是满的呢？还是没满？

「没有满，」全班同学这下学乖了，大家很有信心地回答说。「好极了！」教授再一次称赞这些「孺子可教也」的学生们。称赞完了後，教授从桌底下拿出一大瓶水，把水倒在看起来已经被鹅卵石、小碎石、沙子填满了的罐子。当这些事都做完之後，教授正色问他班上的同学：「我们从上面这些事情得到什麽重要的功课？」

班上一阵沈默，然後一位自以为聪明的学生回答说：「无论我们的工作多忙，行程排得多满，如果要逼一下的话，还是可以多做些事的。」这位学生回答完後心中很得意地想：「这门课到底讲的是时间管理啊！」

教授听到这样的回答後，点了点头，微笑道：「答案不错，但并不是我要告诉你们的重要信息。」说到这里，这位教授故意顿住，用眼睛向全班同学扫了一遍说：「我想告诉各位最重要的信息是，如果你不先将大的「鹅卵石」放进罐子里去，你也许以後永远没机会把它们再放进去了。」

点评：

1、对于工作中零零散散的事件可以按重要性和紧急性的不同组合确定处理的先后顺序。做到鹅卵石、碎石子、沙子、水都能放到罐子里去。

2、对于人生旅途中出现的事件也应如此处理。也就是平常所说的处在哪一年龄段要完成哪一年龄段应完成的事，否则，时过境迁，到了下一年龄段就很难有机会补救。
