曾几何时，世界上大批的动植物遭到灭绝，还有许许多多的动植物濒临灭绝，这都是为什么?这都是因为人类乱伐树木，破坏了生态环境，这才是根本原因。

土地资源是三大地质资源(矿产资源、水资源、土地资源)之一，是人类生产活动最基本的资源和劳动对象。人类对土地的利用程度反映了人类文明的发展，但同时也造成对土地资源的直接破坏，这主要表现为不合理垦植引起的水土流失、土地沙漠化、土地次生盐碱化及土壤污染等，而其中水土流失尤为严重，乃当今世界面临的又一个严重危机。据估计，世界耕地的表土流失量约为230亿吨/年。

有人认为酸雨是一场无声无息的危机，而且是有史以来冲击我们最严重的环境威胁，是一个看不见的敌人。这并非危言耸听。随着工业化和能源消费增多，酸性排放物也日益增多，它们进入空气中，经过一系列作用就形成了酸雨。

赤潮虽然自古就有，但随着工农业生产的迅速发展，水体污染日益加重，赤潮也日趋严重。我国自1933年首次报道以来，至1994年共有194次较大规模的赤潮，其中60年代以前只有4次，1990年后则有157起。石油类污染对水质和水生生物有相当大的危害。漂浮在水面上的油类可迅速扩散，形成油膜，阻碍水面与空气接触，使水中溶解氧减少。油类含有多环芳烃致癌物质，可经水生生物富集后危害人体健康。二氧化硫主要由燃煤及燃料油等含硫物质燃烧产生，其次是来自自然界，如火山爆发、森林起火等产生。二氧化硫对人体的结膜和上呼吸道粘膜有强烈刺激性，可损伤呼吸器管可致支气管炎、肺炎，甚至肺水肿呼吸麻痹。短期接触二氧化硫浓度为0。5毫克/立方米空气的老年或慢性病人死亡率增高，浓度高于0。25毫克/立方米，可使呼吸道疾病患者病情恶化。长期接触浓度为0。1毫克/立方米空气的人群呼吸系统病症增加。另外，二氧化硫对金属材料、房屋建筑、棉纺化纤织品、皮革纸张等制品容易引起腐蚀，剥落、褪色而损坏。还可使植物叶片变黄甚至枯死。

I read a piece of news recently. It says that in Japan marly businessmen ave selling fresh air to customers.and now it is becoming more and more popular. Why?——Fresh air is getting less and less in Japan, and so is it in the U. S. A.

In fact, environmental pollution is a very serious problem the whole world is facing.

it is mainly caused by the waste products released from artificial substances, industrial production and increased consumption of goods. Bedsides, the use of chemical substances in agriculture also causes environmental pollution. Look at the sky, you can see that dense smoke is being released from the high and big chimneys; those dirty and poisonous substances are flowing into the rivers that we use for drinking water and millions of tons of waste products are heaping around us.

How to change this condition?More and more countries are trying to work out some effective means to bring it under control, but no great success has been made.

Protect Our Environment It is important to beal with the rubbish in cities. Our world was colorful,beautiful and full of life. But these years, people have built many factories along rivers. Many trees have been cut down. Many animals have lost their homes. Factories cause pollution. Rivers become polluted. As a student, you should do every things in your everyday life to protect them. First, stop wasting more water. Second, throw waste things into different dustbins. For example, waste paper should be throw into paper recyclable bins. Third, stop cutting down trees. Instead, plant more. Fourth, pick up garbage in the park or on the road when we are free. Last, call on more and more people to pay attention to contrlling pollution. 世界原本是美丽的，而被人类污染的世界是丑陋的，世界上有的河水是绿色的，里面有很多垃圾，而且非常臭呢！世界上有些地方的大路和小路上都是垃圾，一开车就踩到没吃完的食物和没喝完的饮料，把牛奶盒压出牛奶味，会招惹苍蝇，还会变得很臭、很恶心。

世界很大，也就代表垃圾也很多。扔在地上的香蕉皮会让人摔跤，草地上的大树也成为受害者，吃完就随手一扔，很容易扔到大树。大树会很容易发臭，有蚂蚁爬来爬去，严重的还会枯萎。

爱护环境有个小故事。有天早上，我在校园的操场上看见一个男孩子，吃完了零食就随手把包装袋扔在了地上。我赶紧跑上去，说：“你这样做不对。会破坏校园环境。”我还叫他把垃圾扔在垃圾箱里。小男孩看我一眼，就立刻跑开了。我弯下腰拾起包装袋放进了垃圾箱。老师表扬了我，我很高兴呢！

其实我觉得环保不光是大人的事，也是我们小学生应尽的责任和义务。其实，绿化家园，保护生态，不是一件遥不可及的壮举。环保，从自己做起！行动，从身边的一点一滴的小事做起！

How to protect the environment?

Nowadays, more and more people realize it`s necessary and important to protect the environment. Also,there are some people who don`t pay attention to hygiene and they can`t stop littering the rubbish casually or spitting everywhere all the time.And in addition, there are a few factories often cutting down the trees, discharging chemicals and dirty water and so on.And it causes many problems like the Greenhouse Effect.If they do these day by day and our life will be harder and harder,so we have to stop them. To stop them we can put up commonweal advertisements and tell them the detriment of destroying the environment.So we can start from now to make a beautiful life.
