十二月二十四日，就是传说中的“神上天”之期。是日，家家户户都要拜“糖桃”。一方红纸，上面用软糖摆成一粒桃子的形态，成为“糖桃”。此物沾住“杜王爷”的嘴，让其“上天说好话，落地保平安”。过年还要拜“老爷”，也就是祭神。祭神的祭品有三样：“红桃发粿”、“鼠壳粿”、“菜头粿”。“红桃发粿”就是用绿豆去壳，然后把豆磨成粉，接着蒸熟，做粿馅料。“菜头粿”就是萝卜糕。

过年祭祖，要到除夕日下午。过年，家里已成年有收入的小辈，要给长辈送“压岁钱”，长辈也要对未成年的小辈给“压岁钱”，户户如此，体现了尊老惜幼的美德。

在正月里，潮汕地区都游神祈福的活动，就是把庙里面的神座抬到大街上游行，人们要放鞭炮、烧香、接福。这就是潮州春节的习俗。

比赛开始了，我很认真仔细地观察棋盘上的战势，尽可能地将各种形状的棋子放入棋盘，不但要占尽先机，而且要想方设法地堵住舅妈和姨丈的去路，还要尽量占有大面积的地盘……舅舅和我想尽办法发展自己的`地盘，还乘机偷袭了舅妈他们的地盘。不过，舅妈太厉害了，一不小心，我被她偷了一大块地盘去。最后，个人成绩最好的是舅妈，舅舅第二，我第三。姨丈因为是第一次玩，只得了第四。但是小组赛，我和舅舅这一组获得了胜利。

战略棋真的是一种有趣的益智活动，我们大家都玩得不亦乐乎。
