夏季情况就不一样。夏天对于我国来说昼长夜短，白天太阳对地面强烈照射，使地表温度急剧上升，加白天又长，地面接受了很多热量，到了晚上即使是晴朗无云的夜晚，地表面以长波形式向空中辐射热量，使自己冷却，但是一则白天长接受热量多，不容易一下子散光，二则因为夜短，散失热量因时间所限不会太多，往往在尚未冷却到露点时，第二天的白天又开始了，太阳又重新照射，温度又开始上升。因此夏季一般不会产生辐射雾（有时也会产生辐射雾，特别是山区），这样夏天如果产生雾多属其他类型，所以天气也就不见得晴好。一种情况，夏天产生雾只有在空气非常潮湿的情况下，而上面空中又被一层厚厚云层所盖，这样太阳光照射不到地表面，空气就得不到热量而慢慢地冷却最后生成雾，而这种雾多预兆天气将转坏。另一种情况就是锋面雾，这更不是好天气象征。所以农谚才有“夏雾雨”之说。

春雾日头，夏雾雨深刻地说明了对一切问题都要辩证地对待它。肯定一切，不定一切都是错误的。对雾也是这样，也应该辩证地对待，不能一看到雾不管其生成原因如何，均作为好天气征兆，如果那样，在预报工作上肯定会摔跤的。
