Dalian is a beautiful city. Dalian is close to Beijing. I spent 5o minutes

on the plane. Dalian is near the sea. I smelled the salty taste in the air. The

roads are clean. There are lots of trees and flowers near the roads. There are

many esplanades and Japanese buildings. There are some fountains in one of the

esplanades. Some people flew kites and walked on the esplanades. We went to see

the beach and the sea. The sea is blue. There were many swimmers in the sea. I

lay on the beach to see the sky.Dalian is a very nice place to live.

Huhehot is in Inner Mongol. There are lots of large grasslands. The

grasslands are endless. The sky is bright blue. There were a lot of horses and

sheep. They were running or eating grass. I rode a horse on the graland. I

picked some colourful flowers. We drank the tea with milk. There is a small

desert, it was very hot when I walked on it. The sand could sing.

These trips helped me open my eyes. I enjoyed my day.

Last summer vacation,my family and I went to Qingdao by train. There was always sunshine and fresh air,which made us so comfortable. We went to the seaside,the sea was as blue as the sky, and bathing in the sunshine on the beach, was really an enjoyable thing.I also picked up a lot of colorful shells with my little sister. There we bought many interesting souvenirs, I was planing to send them to my friends. We ate many tings there,such as fish,prawn, and so on. They are very delicious. Then we lived in a clean and tidy hotel, and the price was not so expensive. I like Qingdao very much, and if I got a chance, I hope to come here again, it is such a beautiful and interesting place.

Last year, my parents and I arrived in the United States on the other side of the ocean, living in Chicago, the third largest city in the United States. The city life there is very different from the city life in China.

Most people in China live in public housing or apartments, and there are not so many people in the United States. People usually live in semi-detached houses. Lying at the center of Beijing, the Forbidden City, called Gu Gong, in Chinese, was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. 2 On July 23rd my parents took me to Beijing. We stayed at YuTingqiao hotel. On the first day, we went to the Great Wall. The Great Wall is very long and old. It has millions of bricks. Each brick is very big and heavy. Lots of people from different countries like climbing the Great Wall. We felt very tired when we climbed to the top of the Great Wall.

We also went to the Palace Museum. The Palace Museum has 9999 palaces. It has a very long history. I bought a lot of souvenirs of the Palace Museum. What nice palaces these are! I visited the Palace Museum and felt excited. If you want to know more about the Palace Museum, you can go to Beijing and have a look.

Last week my parents and I went to Europe for a visit. We had a wonderful time there.

It took us about ten hours to fly from Beijing to Budapest, Hungary. And then we visited France, Germany, Italy and other countries. Europe was really beautiful.

The sky was blue, and the sunshine was bright. There were not so many tall buildings there as we had expected. Most of the people there were polite and friendly.
