coming. It is 25th May Sunday. Today is Han Mei’s mother’s birthday. So she

wanted to give her mother a special present. What present should she give? Maybe

it is bad for trees. The more I buy cards, the more trees will be cut by people.

这几年，许多同学都在假期补课，而且从来没有补过，由于我喜欢玩，不喜欢学习。眼看着新的假期又要来了，我们班上的许多同学都在报名被课。有的同学喜欢补数学；有的同学喜欢补作文；大多数同学喜欢补英语，由于英语太难啦！对我来讲，英语好像从来没有及格过，看着同学们都积极学习的样子，我也有些心动了。

由于去年假期，同学们都在补课，没有人和我玩，我现在想还不如去和他们一起补课算了，那么选哪一门课呢？后来想了一想，我就决定补自己最差的英语了。那天，我报了名，英语老师说：“凤凤，你早就得补你的英语了，这次来一定要好好学，其实英语一点都不难！”听了英语老师的话，我的心里别提多兴奋了。

到了补课其间，我们每个人都准备了新的笔记本，将老师讲的每一个要点都记了下来。因为在这里补课的同学还有其他班上的同学，所以学习热情很高涨，我也不好意思玩了。别的同学做什么，我就做什么，反正自己也没有好的学英语方法，所以现在就是我最好的学习机会。

差不多一个月的时间，我的英语水平提高了许多，最后的测试分数不再是倒数第一，我终于进步了。当我拿着成绩让爸爸妈妈看进，他们一直夸我有进步，并要继续努力。当时，我的心里乐滋滋的，非常感谢假期补英语的生活。

January 1st is New Year‘s Day. It‘s a great day for all the people throughout the world. As the saying goes, A good beginning is half the battle. So, many people go all out to celebrate the important day. On that day, I went to the Book City with my classmates. We bought a lot of useful reference books and interesting story books. depressing and we should not to make any failures. For me, I cherish failures

very much for we can realize our shortcomings from them.

First of all, we can learn from failure and get more experience. It is

indeed so disappointed when we confront with failure. However, we can always get

some experience from failures and makes us understand our weak point. If we can

learn from failure, then we will avoid such problem in the coming days.

Secondly, the more failures, the more successful we will be. As the old

saying goes that failure is the mother of success. The more failure we make, the

more successful we will be. If we make many mistakes, then we will learn a lot

from them and will do better when we meet the same kind of problems. This means

we will obtain great success if we meet more failures.

All in all, failure is a bad thing for people, but it is a good chance for

us to learn more from it and become successful in the future.

English is one of my best subjects and I started learning English when I

was ten years old.

But at the very beginning, listening seemed a little difficult for me. So I

have been doing a lot of listening practice, such as listening to tapes,

watching English TV programs. And I found it really helped a lot. In fact, there

are some more helpful ways to learn English well. For example, I enjoy singing

English songs and I want to join an English club or find a pen pal from

English-speaking countries.

I believe that nothing is impossible if you put your heart into it.

My favourite teacher is my English teacher Ms Cai.Her English name is Mae. She is a beautiful lady. She is very humorous. But sometimes she is very strict with us. 听妈妈说我从小体质就不好，1岁到5岁经常发烧所以渐渐地就得了肺炎，后来是经过努力治疗才康复的，然而四年级肺炎这个“灾难”又降临到了我的头上，妈妈焦急万分，马上就要期末考试了又接近过年，既影响了学习，又过不好年，为了不耽误我的学习第二天我还是坚持去上学可，可是到了第二天晚上的十二点我又开始发烧，妈妈发现了立刻穿好衣服带着我去了医院，我觉得浑身不舒服，头晕，整个人都是烫的，没多久我就吐了，接着迷迷糊糊睡着了，朦胧中我感觉到打针了。从这以后我就没去上学了，我常常担心如果治不好该怎么办？妈妈总是会看出我的心思，安慰我说：“没事的，肯定会好的。”妈妈的话使我坦然了许多，于是我便不再乱想，由于我配合治疗没一个星期就康复了。

今年五一我再次生病，那是去丹江二桥的时候，本来五年级去了趟宜昌坐了很多汽车也坐了火车，我已经不晕车了，没想到丹江二桥一路上很颠簸，四周都是山，当时坐着小轿车上去，随着盘山的公路一路上让我觉得很不舒服，本来我就讨厌坐小轿车，经路这么一折腾我又晕车了，庆幸的是下车居然没吐，没想到回来的时候吐了，我当时一点也不感觉晕只是觉得难受。由于我不觉得晕所以就没在意，随后就和弟弟去了他家，正在玩梦幻的时候不知为什么我的肚子疼了起来，那种感觉真是无法形容，姨妈让我去医院看我没同意，因为我怕，怕这一去就不再回来，爸爸就是去了医院不再回来的。我在心里想着或许睡觉会舒服点，如果不行的话……睡过去算了。姨妈给妈妈打了电话然后就送我回家，哪想到我连走路都不行了，没办法叫了个三轮车把我送回家，一到家门口妈妈就在那里等我，回到家我说想睡觉，妈妈又为我把床整理好，我才睡觉的。后来我醒来已经不觉得疼了，我觉得妈妈是伟大的！虽然我没有爸爸，没有爸爸的爱，没有一个完整的家，但是妈妈让感觉到了家庭的温暖。 我爱我家，更爱我的妈妈！
