3、不要慌张向户外跑。

7、汽车靠路边停车，管辖区域禁止行驶。

An earthquake is a tremor of the earths surface usually triggered by the release of underground stress along fault lines. This release causes movement in masses of rock and resulting shock waves. In spite of extensive research and sophisticated equipment, it is impossible to predict an earthquake, although experts can estimate the likelihood of an earthquake occurring in a particular region.

In 1935, American seismologist (地震学家) Charles Richter developed a scale that measures the magnitude of seismic waves. Called the Richter scale, it rates earth tremors on a scale from 1 to 9, with 9 being the most powerful and each number representing an increase of ten times the energy over the previous number. According to this scale, any quake that is higher than 4.5 can cause damage to stone buildings; quakes rated a magnitude of 7 and above are considered very severe. A less-known scale, the Mercalli scale (麦氏震级), was devised by Italian seismologist Giuseppe Mercalli to measure the severity of an earthquake in terms of its impact on a particular area and its inhabitants and buildings.

Some earthquakes are too small to be felt but can cause movement of the earth, opening up holes and displacing rocks. Shock waves from a very powerful earthquake can trigger smaller quakes hundreds of miles away from the epicenter. Approximately 1,000 earthquakes measuring 5.0 and above occur yearly. Earthquakes of the greatest intensity happen about once a year and major earthquakes (7.0-7.9) occur about 18 times a year. Strong earthquakes (6.0-6.9) occur about 10 times a month and moderate earthquakes (5.0-5.9) happen more than twice daily. Most earthquakes are not even noticed by the general public, since they happen either under the ocean or in unpopulated areas. Sometimes an earthquake under the ocean can be so severe, it will cause a tsunami, responsible for far greater damage.

The greatest danger of an earthquake comes from falling buildings and structures and flying glass, stones and other objects.

忽然，我想到了在物理里曾经提到的一个著名定律，一下子恍然大悟激动地拉起小伙伴的手说：“惯性，这可以利用惯性定律！”她起初一脸迷茫地看着我，当听懂了我话语中的含义后，又一脸兴奋地连连点头。随后我选择了一个体形庞大的娃娃，因为娃娃的质量越大，她的惯性就越大。在一次次的调整尝试中，我发现了，当娃娃在被机器臂抓到后，会因为重力的作用而向下坠落，在碰到玻璃壁时又会因为反作用力而被反弹出去，惯性能保持物体的运动状态，所以质量大的娃娃会在惯性的作用下向前滚动很长一段时间，然后就会在出口处自然而然地落下。

终于，这个大胖娃娃在我们期盼的眼神中，在惯性的作用下缓缓滚动到了出口中，我和小伙伴们争先恐后地扑向这个大胖娃娃，欢呼声和呐喊声传遍了整个大厅。

During last summer vacation I paid a visit to my uncle’s. It was the first time I had seen the sea. Tow years ago my uncle a closed friend of my father transferred from Shanxi to Yantai a beautiful port city; and then my aunt joined him a couple months later. And a year later I became their guest and was going to stay with them for a week. I was fascinated by the vastness of the sea the clean and soft sand on the beach the seagulls flying in the sky and the beauty of the golden sunset clouds over the dark blue water. But I missed the sunrise each day for I couldn’t get up early enough.

On the fifth day the alarm clock woke me up when it was still dark outside I hurried to the beach and stood in the cool breeze there the sky was turning grey little by little the sea was calm and all was so quiet that I felt I was surrounded by mysteries then suddenly in the faraway horizon golden beans of light were shooting up into the sky. A moment later a corner of the sun appeared. The sun was rising very slowly and reluctantly as if it was unwilling to leave the sea. At last the entire sun lay on the horizon so big and so red it looked like a huge ripe orange or a tender half-boiled yolk. It hesitated and shivered a moment then said goodbye to the sea and rose into the air. The scene was very beautiful touching and magnificent which I’ll never forget.

钥匙，对我们来说是一件极其平常的东西。它没有固定的形状，但它经过千锤百炼后就有了一个固定的形状，是和锁芯一样的形状。知识，对我们来说更是一件平常的东西，当我们第一天开始学说话，第一次进入校园，第一次写出汉字时，我们就不停地吮吸着它所拥有的以及我们所需要的。它没有固定的形状，我们看不见也摸不着，但却可以感受得到。当我们第一次叫“爸爸妈妈”，第一次写出汉语拼音，第一次考试考了100分，到那时，我们就会感觉到它的存在，正是因为有了它，那些苦难的人才能从贫穷到富有，那些被困在深山里的人才能走出来，那些有志者才能实现自己的梦想。

但如果我们想要获得知识这把万能钥匙，还得搭一个顺风车——学习。

有很多人会说学习苦、学习累，是啊！有谁能说学习不苦，学习不累呢？但我们应想到“不经风雨怎能见彩虹”“阳光总在风雨后”，再想“宝剑锋从磨砺出，梅花香自苦寒来”“吹尽狂沙始到金”。所以，当我们遇到挫折，处于困境时，不应该灰心丧气，不应该怨天尤人，更不应该一蹶不振。或许我们失败了，或许我们的努力没有换来回报，但只要坚持、坚持、再坚持，就一定会有回报的。要坚信：努力了，不一定会有回报，但不努力就一定不会有回报。还是努力吧，若是你不努力，一定会有人努力的。

看着深山里的孩子为上学每天都要翻过几座山，越过几条河，他们或许连一张桌子、一把椅子都没有；他们或许连学费都交不起。但他们说过苦吗？说过累吗？他们又退缩了吗？没有，因为他们知道只有学习才能获得知识，而只有知识才能让他们走出深山，摆脱困境去追求自己的梦想。而我们呢？我们的条件或许比他们要好得多，但我们一定没有他们意志坚强。所以往往我们遇到困难后就退缩了、放弃了，自然也就不会再拥有知识这把万能钥匙。

每个人都希望自己能够打开成功的大门，殊不知这扇门只有知识这唯一的一把钥匙。那，如果我们没有这把钥匙该怎么办呢？所以，为了获得知识，为了成功，努力学习吧！

Dear Editor,

I’m writing to tell you how us use computers in our daily lives.Most of us

use computers to search for more information about the interesting problems on

the textbooks, about Iraqi wars and about Oscar. Some of us use computers to do

some drawings, to make up interesting flashes. And some of us use them to play

games. If we are tired and want to take a short rest, playing games for a while

is OK. But it’s forbidden that we spend hours and hours on the games. There is

also someone using computers to talk with people in the Internet and even

falling in love with him or her. The Internet is not a real world and we can’t

tell lies from truths. So falling in love with somebody on the Internet is not

safe and is bad for our study. We should keep ourselves out of it.That’s all I

最近，我迷上了中央电视台科教频道的《地理中国》节目，因为它是一档具备既有推理性又有大量科学知识的电视节目，是一档有益的电视节目。

在《地理中国》中，我学到了许许多多的知识。那些知识，是我从书里面没有学过的知识；那些知识，是科学老师没有给我们讲到过的知识；那些知识，也是爸爸妈妈、爷爷奶奶和外公外婆不知道的知识。

节目中介绍，在祖国的大好河山中有许多神奇的现象，经过地理学家们孜孜不懈的探究才找到那不为人知的奥秘。举个简单的例子：在中国的吉林省内的罗圈里村坐落在一个正规的圆形的盆地，为什么这个盆地是正规的圆形？经过地理学家门的调查、推理、研究得出那是由于陨石的撞击而形成的，就和炮弹落地炸出来的坑是圆的一样道理。还有在中国景色宜人的鄱阳湖的老爷庙水域，由于受到狭管效应，使在那里过往的船只经常失事，成为了中国的“百慕大”。

节目中也有外国的一些地理奥秘以及生物奥秘的介绍。如在亚马逊河，由于圭亚那地盾和巴西地盾的保护，使古老生物电鳗生存了下来，在亚马逊河的最后一条支流——托坎廷斯河的一片河曼滩处电死了无数人。

我从《地理中国》里面学到的知识真是讲也讲不完，说也说不尽。它真是传播知识的大宝库啊！而和它形成鲜明对比的像《太子妃升职记》、《花千骨》、《奔跑吧兄弟》等穿越剧、神话剧、真人秀都只是提供一下娱乐而已，对我们小学生没有帮助，不能多看。要多看看那些和《地理中国》一样增长我们知识，发挥正能量的电视节目！

Ofo is very popular nowadays, which brings great convenience to people. For

foreign media, they even treat Ofo as one of new four inventions in China. I

like to use Ofo so much. I can take exercise and enjoy the scenery. But the news

reported that a lot of Ofos had been destroyed. some were stolen and some were

broken. Ofo is the new industry, which needs to be supported. While some

peoples bad behavior hurts publics interest. I believe that most people will

protect the bikes and they return them on time. It is everybodys duty to

protect the public property. Dont be greedy for the small advantage.

知识是一个益友，读一本好书就像是交一个益友；知识是一把钥匙，理想的知识是打开智慧的钥匙；知识是道路，知识陪伴着我们走向成功的终点。

那时的我还很小，唯一的兴趣爱好就是看有意思的，童话故事书籍。

有一次，我与父母外出买东西，来到超市里，我悄悄把自己的手缓慢的挣扎出来，然后我迫不及待地直奔二楼图书去，而我的父母还在精挑细选着物品，忽略了儿童的我，直到买完东西付完了钱才发现童年的我早已丢失。而那时的我看书看得早已痴痴入迷，仿佛我已经深入童话世界，就连父母着急的大声呼喊也不想理会，我看了一页又一页，页码似乎在做着倒计时了，然而不幸的却是：看到最后几页时招到了父亲旳一顿惨骂，无论我如何挣脱，最终还是很悲愤的被父亲牵走，我流下了几滴悲愤的眼泪。恨不得再次跑回到二楼，飞快的拿起书，急忙的看完，但还是没有理想中的成功，再次被父亲牵住，从此在我心中留下了一点缺陷。

过了两天后，我的心中不免起了歪着头，等到了夜晚的来临，当父母入睡后，一个人悄悄地，偷偷摸摸地来到门前，拿着手电筒走在无尽黑夜的道路上，我曾感到害怕而准备停止行走，但我只要一想到那个故事的未知，不管有多苦，我也再次鼓起勇气往前走。

过了一会儿，我来到图书面前，眼疾手快的拿起那本故事书，心里感到既高兴又惧怕，更是紧张，走到这个地步了，我不得不把故事的神秘未知揭开，于是我便再次沉入书中世界，探索着前方的奥秘。过了一会，页码的倒记时停止了，我深深地吸了口气，仿佛所有知识都被我吸收了，我心里感到非常饱满，开心地走在阳光的道路上。当回到家时，推开门“咯吱咯吱”，一不小心把母亲吵醒了……

知识就像一个小精灵，它会跟你无理取闹，而你却会在无意之间吸收它们。
