Knowledge gained from experience may be firsthand, direct, and unforgettable. Books in the library may be outdated, giving you useless information. Everything is changing and so is knowledge. There is a bus from the airport to the city. It is much cheaper than a cab. Take the bus to the city and ask to get off at Town Hall railway station.

To get to my place in the eastern suburbs you have three options. You can either take a cab, a bus or the train. I suggest you take the train, since the airport bus will leave you right at the station. Get off at Cliff Station. From there you can either walk to my place (about ten minutes) or take a taxi. Probably you should take a taxi as you will have luggage.

When you arrive at my flat, ring the intercom for Flat 2. My friend Lillian will be at home and she will open the front door for you and let you into my flat.

Presumably you will be tired and want to sleep. But if you feel like some exercise after that long flight, you could stroll down to Cooper Park, which is only ten minutes away ? you can see it from the window.

8月4日，你们鲁甸发生了地震，不知现在情况如何？大自然把你们的家园毁了，我感到十分痛心。这个寒假，我想请你们来我家做客。我的家乡在玉溪，它被称为云烟之乡、花灯之乡、聂耳故乡。为了纪念伟大的人民音乐家聂耳，玉溪修建了聂耳故居、聂耳公园、聂耳广场……其中，最美的要数聂耳广场了。

聂耳广场是一个开放的休闲娱乐的大型广场。从我家步行15分钟就来到聂耳文化广场了。文化广场的东面是大舞台，每到节假日都会表演节目。西面是一台大电视，北面是玉湖，如果你的运气好，还可以欣赏到玉湖的水上电影。每当傍晚，广场上聚集了翩翩起舞、纵情歌唱的中老年人，广场成了欢乐的海洋。

顺着玉湖旁的小路往北走，就来到了聂耳桥，聂耳桥的两端矗立着一本本“石头书”，这些“书”上刻的都是聂耳作曲的音乐作品，有《义勇军进行曲》、《卖报歌》、《金蛇狂舞》……

跨过拱形的聂耳桥，顺着玉湖旁的小路往北走，就来到了一块白色的沙滩。玩沙的孩子们穿着五彩缤纷的衣服。女孩子的裙子随风飘扬，像一只只蝴蝶在翩翩起舞。男孩子穿着小短裤，把自己的脚埋在沙堆里，沙滩上充满了孩子们的欢声笑语。

beautiful city near the sea. There are several places worth visiting.

The most famous place is the Silver Beach. You can take the no.2 bus and

take no.3bus to the Silver Beach. You can get off the bus at the Beach hotel

stop and set the luggage or have s rest at the hotel. Then go back the road

which the bus have come. The beach is not far from the hotel, you can’t miss it.

The seafood is very delicious, you can have some for supper after swimming. The

world under the sea is a fantasy place. When you go into it, you will feel that

you are really under the sea. There are so many kinds of fish swimming around

The most exciting program is “dancing with the shark” .that is some girls

who dress as the fish dive into the water and play.

Today after dinner, the adults were tired, and I volunteered to say, "Mom, Ill do the housework today." Mom is very happy. after having their moment of belief in you are wasting everyones precious time.

Because you are not for them. You are for the children. Children who need some

magic in a world where the borders between innocence and responsibility, playful

imagination and cold, adult obstacles are continually shrinking.

This is what Id like to ask you to help with. A little more time for

children to be children. Stretch the moment of magic and playfulness. Distract

them from the realities of a world gone mad so that they can laugh with their

breath rather than sob with their tears. Especially those caring for family

members, or suffering illness, hunger or poverty. Especially those hiding in

buildings as bombs rain down, or being handed shaking with fear or cold into a

boat to escape environmental disaster or war. Please help to light up their

worlds with a moment of joy and hope.

When I think about it youve got it tough this year... And when I really

think about it Im not sure that asking you for a lightsaber and getting one

(not that I ever did by the way) is equatable with controlling the space time

continuum and making the good of childhood last a little longer.

But you do inspire wonder and awe amongst those that write you letters and

go to sleep hoping there might be a new object in their possession come dawn.

You inspire good behaviour and, at least in my memory, some desperate last

minute attempts to redeem bad behaviour so as not to be overlooked. Spare a

我的朋友叫我写信给你……我真的不知道该对你说什么。主要因为跟大部分成年人一样，我觉得跟你要东西似乎很荒谬，因为我们和你已经没有交集了。如今我们自己给自己买礼物，掌控自己的命运，为自己的行为负责，并且生活在我们自己创造的世界里……所以我们没有理由找你帮忙解决这些问题，比如环境问题、移民危机、NHS医保系统、教育、食物银行、人权、原教旨主义和战争。尽管上帝知道，我们需要各种援助去解决这些人为的危机和麻烦。

我并不是说你没有同情心或不乐观。你很伟大。尽管你被各种大公司篡改的面貌全非;被妖魔化以代表那疯狂的拜金主义——简直像异教徒的仪式那样，每到这个季节就要用礼物填满欲望，比如那种可能会自燃的悬滑板。那些童心未泯的成年人竟然生气地认为你是在浪费每个人的宝贵时间，却忘了他们自己也曾相信你。因为你不属于成年人，而是属于孩子们的。孩子们需要一些魔力，因为这个世界上，天真与责任、欢乐的想象力与冷漠以及成人障碍之间的界限正在不断的缩小。

这才是我想求你援助的。让孩子们的童年更长久些吧。延长那充满魔力与乐趣的时刻。让孩童们忽略这疯狂又现实的世界，让他们拥有欢笑而非流泪。尤其是那些过早需要承担家庭责任或身患疾病的孩子们，又或者是那些遭受饥饿与贫穷的孩子们。尤其是那些躲在位于枪林弹雨的建筑中、或者是那些怀着恐惧与寒冷不断颤抖、被塞进船里以逃离灾难和战争的孩子们。请你用希望和欢乐照亮他们的世界。

当我想到今年你处境艰难时……当我仔细思考，我不确定这样是否合理：即找你要一把光剑(虽然我并不曾得到过)来控制时空介质，从而使得美好的童年时光再久一点。

但对于那些给你写信、期待着你会在天明前送给他们礼物而入睡的孩子们，你带给他们好奇和敬畏。你激发了善行，至少在我的记忆中，一些孩子在最后一刻试图弥补过错，以避免因此受罚。还希望你体谅一下数百万想跟你写信却不会写字的人。请你倾听他们的声音，给他们时间和机会去学习读书和写字，这样他们就可以过上更好的生活，逃离贫困的处境。

我对你感到一丝歉意。我好像做了我明明说自己不会做的事……我希望你能帮忙解决成年人造成的麻烦，缓解我们对孩子的某些担忧。我保证，我会给你留超多肉馅饼的!!

午后，阳光从窗外悄悄地透进来，给教室增添了几分金黄与灿烂。可教室里的同学们却没感到丝毫的温暖，一个个刚从睡梦中醒来，迷迷糊糊。

可是却偏有几个“异类”夹在里边——比如我。铃声刚刚响过，我就匆匆忙忙从包里抽出一本书，无论是课本、练习册，甚至一本本子也无妨——只要上面有字。这样做看来并不能有太大的收获，可我却有些乐此不疲。我想用这些，一点一滴的知识，来满足我总是无法感到满足的大脑。

课堂上。或许由于喜欢获取新知识的缘故，我一直特别喜欢上新课——新知识更多嘛。

记得有一堂数学课，黑板上有一道难题。什么“运动到哪里时图形为等腰三角形”，而且老师还说有4个答案。我的大脑拼命搜索与等腰三角形有关的知识，绞尽脑汁也只想到了3个答案。看看左右两边的同学，也是一脸茫然的样子。那么最后一个答案是什么呢？

这时候老师开始讲了。她说，虽然最后一种比较难找，但是如果多想一点，还是能做出来的。接着便带着所有同学一步一步进行推理证明。遇上我们没接触过的东西，她一步一步地讲。终于，在我们的共同努力下，答案“千呼万唤始出来”了。我脑中一阵兴奋：又学会了一个新知识。

但我最爱的汲取知识养料的方式还是读书。夜将深未深之时，点上一盏小灯，在灯下阅读自己最爱的书，岂不快哉，乐哉？如果再配上一点轻松的音乐，便有点“欲界之仙都”的感觉了。谁不愿意在自己的“仙都”里做自己喜欢的事呢？

有人说，知识就是力量；古人说“问渠哪得清如许，为有源头活水来”；高尔基认为“书籍是人类进步的阶梯”，我却觉得应该改成“知识是人类进步的阶梯”。因为，只有知识可以使人有勇气、有力量，才会有理想，并敢于去为理想奋斗，改变自己、家庭，乃至全国的风貌。

秉承这一原则，我永不停歇地在汲取知识这条长到无尽头的道路上走着，走着，靠路两旁满载的知识果实，填充我急需养料的身体和心灵……

光阴似箭，日月如梭，转眼间，六年的小学生涯就要结束了，多少个日子已经从我我中溜去，没有声音，也没有影子，我不禁头涔涔而泪潸潸了。

“改变，始于阅读，终于习惯。”是啊，阅读是多么地重要，它是我们生活中必不可缺的一部分，从幼儿园起，我们就开始培养阅读的习惯。刚开始是带拼音的图画绘本书，平均每天也只能读半页或一页，到现在，一本书中几乎没有插图，阅读量也大大增多，几天就能看一本书，因为我知道，只有这样，才能在毕业时以优异的成绩报答母校，为了实现自己的目标，给自己定了以下几点：

1、读书时手边放上笔和本，脑口手并用，把知识点记录下来，并且边读边思考。

2、在书中积累的好词语，如果意思不懂的话，要拿字典查清楚，一遍一遍地读，直至读懂记住为止。

3、上课老师讲课时，思想上不开小差，把不会的记在书上，不能懒惰地不想动手。下课主动请教老师解决，做到不遗留任何问题。

4、如果知道老师要讲哪一课，要提前预习。

5、写好字，保持作业和卷面整洁。

时光匆匆，转瞬即逝。在逃去如飞的日子里，我知道我要好好学习，在有限的时光中，为了目标，奋斗吧！

Last week, I received a post card from my friend, which was from Thailand,

I felt so excited, because I always wanted to travel abroad. So I was so eager

to talk to my friend. She showed me the sceneries. I found different sceneries

in different cities. For the first time, I saw the outside world so closely. I

want to explore the world and know more about this planet. I realized the

importance of learning English. If I master more words, then I can communicate

with the local people and learn about their culture. From now on, I must study

hard. When I have the chance to travel abroad, I can have a trip.

昨天，我和爸爸、妈妈看了一场电影——《唐山大地震》，整个观看过程中，我的眼泪就像珠子一样往下掉。这部电影十分感人，讲的是一个家庭的悲欢离合，地震给人们带来的心灵创伤，并通过人性的善的一面艰难地自体恢复、融合，最后回归到亲情里。

1976年的一天，唐山发生了一场7.8级的地震，死者共达24万多人。有一个4口之家，地震的当天，两个孩子在家里睡觉，他们的爸爸妈妈在外面工作。突然，一场历史罕见的大地震发生了。大地顿时激烈的抖动起来，没过几分钟，楼房都裂开了缝，接着，楼板便一块一块地砸了下来，整个城市一片混乱，那两个孩子，一个叫王登，一个叫王达，他们被眼前的景象吓坏了，姐姐王登拼命的叫着：“爸爸，妈妈，救我！救命啊！”弟弟王达也随着姐姐喊叫着，当他们的爸爸妈妈感到那儿时，妈妈一眼就看到自己的亲骨肉，正欲想救孩子时，却被丈夫一把拉住：“你想找死吗？”说完，自己冲进了屋里，这时不幸的事情发生了——他的头顶上的楼板砸了下来，丈夫不幸离开了这个世界。

悲惨而感人的电影结束了，全场每个人都泣不成声。做娘的一个个都在摸着眼泪，对孩子说：“你们永远不能理解真正的母爱，一个做娘的心啊！”是啊，人性是伟大的，母爱更是伟大的！每每想起那震撼人心的情景，我都为之感动，她告诉我人生的哲理，做人的根本，相信这世界正是因为这伟大的爱，才使这世界变得更加绚丽多姿！

Nowadays,high school students hold different opinions about after-class activities.there are two quite different phenomenonena.

Some students are crazy about sports and some other activities.they spend much time in joining the outdoor activities and varies of groups , and also,making new friends.However,they pay a little attention to their studies.

On the contrary, some students spend almost of their time in studies and dont enjoy attending other activities.

In my opinion,I think neither of them is correct.I think we should study hard,but we also need time to relax ourselves,because if a one in a good state,he can do better.
