地球上所有生命的灭绝就是我们所说的世界末日，这个词是怎么来的呢？原来，世界末日就是那些悲观绝望的人对未来的想象，也是一些人在大灾大难之后所联想到的词。自从20世纪的世界大战发生后、自从20世纪的切尔诺贝利核泄漏事故以来，世界末日这个词更是家喻户晓，许多人认为20世纪的结束就象征着世界末日的到来。结果怎么样呢？人类平平安安地来到了21世纪。谣言便不攻自破了。可是在21世纪初越来越多的灾难中，有许多人又在猜疑了：“XX年就是世界末日。”

在21世纪的新道路上，人们的生活条件越来越好了，科技越来越发达了。然而，灾难也越来越多了。为什么会这样呢？原来，随着人类的发展，人类的需求也越来越多了。大量开采地球的矿产资源，地球就像被挖了细胞核的细胞；大量排放工业污染物，大气中的二氧化碳含量不断增多；大量砍伐树木，开垦荒地，光合作用少了，生物圈中的碳——氧平衡被破坏了，水土流失也在日益加重。

语文课上，老师让我们欣赏了一幅漫画。这幅漫画的内容是一个人拿着一把斧头在森林里砍树，一直啄木鸟在一旁说到：“这段木头里一定有虫……”这个啄木鸟的说的话的意思是那个人脑子里有错误的观念和思想。 这个乱砍乱伐的人，我觉得他的行为是错误的、不对的，破坏了生态平衡。这个人的行为让我想起了现在世界上的环境情况，是多么恶劣。

一万年前，森林面积从76亿公顷减少到62亿公顷，还占陆地面积的42%。19世纪减少到55亿公顷，无论在欧美洲还是亚洲，依然到处都能见到森林。可是进入20世纪以后，毁林的情况日趋严重，至今全球只存40多亿公顷森林，而且正以每分钟38公顷速度在消失! 这么多触目惊心的数据啊!这个人砍树或许是为了造房子;或许是为了生火做饭;或许是为了……但无论因为什么原因和目的，乱砍树木都是错误的。那些触目惊心的数字告诉我们应该要好好保护我们美丽的地球，少使用一次性筷子，少使用塑料袋，节约纸张……就从这些小事做起，节约地球上的资源。

让所有人都行动起来，放下斧头，不再破坏森林，让我们从身边的小事做起，一起爱护我们的家园吧!

我读了《只有一个地球》这篇文章才知道我们的地球现在的处境，地球正受到我们其中一大部分人类的破坏，在清澈的小河里扔垃圾，工厂排放污水把小河弄得非常脏，有许多猎人为了自己的利意，不惜抓了许多保护动物，来卖给别人，自己有钱了，可是破坏了动物资源，破坏了动物的家，人是离不开动物的，还有一些人为了自己的菜好，能赚很多钱，但是他有没有想过，其时那是害了自己，比如你的菜种在田里，毛毛虫一定会去吃，燕子发现了就会把毛毛虫吃了，然后你恰恰抓了那只燕子，把他吃了，肚子里的毒水就进了吃他人的肚里，这不是害了自己吗?

我想我们现在挽回还来得及的，只要大家精心保护地球，这样我们的地球环境好了，这不是很好吗?

可2亿年后地球上有了人类，种种自然灾害也踏至而来。当人类文明发到21世纪的时候，人们便开始无目的的抽取地球的血液——石油，同时还不保护环境，导致了泥石流、地震等灾害。地球也身受重伤。

最近银河系中开了一家医院，地球也赶来看病。她这使医院臭气熏天。大家还以为她是圾星呢。当护士问她叫什么名字时，她说她叫地球，那个护士呆住了。地球说：“我也没有办法要不是我的孩子——人类，我也不会这样。”大家知道后赶快回让自己的孩不要学人类那样对待母亲。

请保护我们的母亲——地球。

Animals are our good friends. People should be friendly to them. But now, many people in China as well as in the world kill animals in order to get money. Its well known that there are many kinds of rare animals in China, such as pandas, golden monkeys and so on. Some people catch or kill them. They use their furs and skins to make clothes and shoes or eat their meat. As a result, a lot of rare animals have disappeared.

What a pity!

At present, our government have made some plans to punish these people. Recently, some nature parks have been built. Lots of money collected for protecting them. For example, some students put on perfom ances or have other kinds of activities to collect money for rare animals.

Its our duty to protect wild animals. As nature is like a big family, man and animals must live together in it peacefully. We must keep the balance of nature. If we do like this, our world will become better and better.

动物是人类的好朋友，人们应该善待它们，但现在，中国和世界上的许多人为赚钱而捕杀动物。众所周知，中国有许多珍稀动物，如熊猫、金丝猴等。一些人捕杀它们是为了用它们的皮毛制衣制鞋，或是为了食用它们的肉。

The giant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) ("black-and-white cat-foot") is a mammal classified in the bear family, Ursidae, native to central-western and southwestern China. Stephen Jay Gould wrote an essay about this, then used the title The Pandas Thumb for a book of essays concerned with evolution and intelligent design. The Giant Panda has a short tail, approximately 15 cm long. Giant Pandas can usually live to be 20-30 years old while living in captivity.

Until recently, scientists thought giant pandas spent most of their lives alone, with males and females meeting only during the breeding season. Recent studies paint a different picture, in which small groups of pandas share a large territory and sometimes meet outside the breeding season.

Like most subtropical mammals, but unlike most bears, the giant panda does not hibernate.

有人认为环境乃小问题，实际上，随着社会的发展，时代的进步，环境问题已是一个涉及全局的战略性问题。保护环境与我们国家.社会和人民的根本利益密切相关的，它直接制约着我国经济和社会的可持续发展，关系着中华民族的世代繁荣昌盛，关系着整个人类的生存和发展。
