People realize the importance of protecting the environment and it is the best way to protect wild animals, they are the indispensable part of the nature.

但也许有人说：“我没有排出污水废气，我居住的地方也很好，保护环境根本与我无关。”其实我们在生活中，就常有破坏环境，我们每天都用大量的塑料袋，纸巾、电池等的物品，浪费大量的水电资源，这无形中都在破坏环境。我们的这些恶习致使臭氧层不断地受破坏，全世界的气温不断升高，假如有一天，两极冰川融化，全世界的海面将会升高，有一部分的沿海城市可能会被淹没。广东省也是沿海地方自然也有被淹没的可能。每年的水旱灾旱，土地沙漠化，山泥倾泻等与我们没有好好保护环境都有关，因此我们应该树立起一种保护环境的意识。

那么我们应该怎样保护环境呢？我有以下几点小建议：第一点要爱惜能源，不浪费水电资源；第二点要爱护绿化，不乱摘花草，不践踏草地，不乱砍树木；第三点不要制造太多废物，像塑料袋等应尽可能少用；第四点要懂得废物利用，没用的报纸、杂志、瓶子等应送到收购站进行废物回收；第五点要注意环境卫生，不可以随地吐痰，不能随地扔垃圾，果皮杂物应放进垃圾箱。以上的这些都是我们能够做到，并且应该做到的方法。

我们生活的地球是宇宙中最美丽的一颗星球。但不幸得是，近百年来由于人口的急速增长，工业的发展，我们的地球正逐渐失去了他昔日的风采，如今，我们的地球妈妈已经生病了。

现在，地球上绝大部分的水是不可以直接应用的。可以供陆地上所有生命使用的水还不到它总量的1%，但这也遭到了严重的污染，据资料显示，世界上80%的人生病与水有关，并且每年有2500万5岁以下儿童因饮用被污染的水生病而死。尤其是我国，污染更为严重，全国城市自来水源已有80%受到污染。我国每年因水污染至少要损失300亿元以上。

我们每天呼吸的空气也并不都是新鲜的。在城市里，汽车排放的尾气，工厂里冒出来的烟尘，垃圾燃烧的黑烟，路边烧烤和炒菜做饭等放出的油烟，都在污染着我们呼吸的每一口空气。

在我们外出旅游或游玩的时候，随处可以看到小塑料包装袋一类的白色污染，这些被随手扔在路边、江河湖海里，不易腐烂的白色污染，不仅污染了环境，还严重危害着人和动物的生命。在我国就曾发生过“国宝”大熊猫因误食塑料袋而死的事件。

在历史上，我国曾是森林覆盖率最多的国家之一，可现在，世界上要生产铅笔10亿支，其中有75亿支是我国生产的，单这一项至少要毁掉10万立方米的木材，现在，我国的森林覆盖率不到14%。

同学们，珍惜纸张，就是保护森林与河流，所以，请大家不要随意扔掉纸张，完全利用纸的空白地方，浪费纸张就等于进入了砍伐森林的行业。还要拒绝那些随处散发的传单，这既浪费纸张，破坏森林，又会破坏城市卫生。另外，平时在外吃饭时，少用一次性筷子，这也是你为保护森林做出的贡献。

在我们外出游玩时，不要随地吐痰，不要随便损坏花草树木，不要随便采集标本，不污染水源，要少用一次性快餐盒，减少白色污染，垃圾要投放到指定地点，如果能骑自行车郊游的话，尽量骑自行车，以减少汽车尾气对空气的污染。
