有人认为环境乃小问题，实际上，随着社会的发展，时代的进步，环境问题已是一个涉及全局的战略性问题。保护环境与我们国家.社会和人民的根本利益密切相关的，它直接制约着我国经济和社会的可持续发展，关系着中华民族的世代繁荣昌盛，关系着整个人类的生存和发展。

As we all know, pollution is harmful to living beings. There are many different types of pollutions in this world. For instance, water pollution, air pollution, noise pollution and so on. Water pollution cause many kinds of disease that have negative effects on human beings, sometimes the diseases will take people’s life away. Dirty air will increase the rate of getting lung cancer. 一天，月亮姑娘和星星们正在银河系里玩耍。突然传来了一阵呜呜的哭声，她们连忙赶过去，看到地球姐姐正在哭泣，都过去安慰。

月亮姑娘问地球：“姐姐，您为什么哭呀？遇到什么伤心的事了吗？”这时，月亮姑娘看到地球满身都是伤，就追问道：“您的身上怎么全是伤啊？您不是有很多孩子——人类吗？”地球有气无力地说：“还说呢，就是人类害我这样的，呜呜呜，我该怎么做呀？”一颗小星星插口道：“哪他们是怎么伤害你的呢？”地球说：“他们这些不孝顺的孩子，为了自己生活的舒坦，把保护我身上的树都砍光了，还无时无刻的在让化工厂排放有污染气体。所以我的身体受到了极大的伤害。”一颗淘气的小星星说：“那您就应该给他们点厉害，让他们知道身在福中不知福是什么后果！”地球说：“可他们是我的孩子呀，我怎么忍心呢？”月球想了想，兴奋的说：“对了，你不是还有净化空气的大海还有长江黄河吗？环境怎么还会被污染呢？”地球长叹了一口气，说：“他们被污染得更厉害，人们随意把污水倒进大海里，长江黄河也是苦不堪言哪！唉！”这时，刚好龙卷风和台风路过这里听到地球与月亮的对话，高兴极了，就准备趁地球现在身上没有任何保护环境的东西，去地球上搞破坏。他们说干就干，马上分头闯进了地球，龙卷风把街道上的石子和垃圾高高卷起，玩够了就又扔下去，把人们居住的房间的房顶都掀了起来。而台风则闯进了大海，在海上胡作非为，大风把沿海居民的家都吹垮了。“如果以前有树的话，”一个逃生的人说，“那就不会发生这样的事了。”可是后悔已经来不及了。正在这时，地震和暴雨来了，他们看到台风和龙卷风玩得很开心，就上前一起捣乱。人们四处逃窜，可是当龙卷风和台风来到一个村子的时候，不知看到什么东西，连忙逃窜了，地震和暴雨这两个跟屁虫也跟着他们跑了。

人们喜不自胜，就都凑上去看情况，他们看到了一排排大树和一条条清澈的小河，再往进走，他们看到了一群男女老少正在植树，都羞愧地低下了头。人们这才体会到保护环境的重要性。

回到家后，人们自发的组织植树，还积极的捡拾垃圾，直至排放污染气体和污水，地球又焕发出了勃勃生机。台风、龙卷风等自然灾害都不敢入侵了。

地球妈妈十分开心，一旁的月亮也很高兴，她说：“呵呵，这下可好了，人们终于知道保护环境的重要性了。姐姐，您有什么愿望呀？”地球满怀憧憬地说“我希望人们可以永远懂得‘环保’二字的意义。这样我就可以永远这么舒服了。”
