在历史的长河中，人类的时代的发展永无止境。在生活中人类创造了飞机，轮船，汽车……在科技中，人类创造了天文望远镜，显微镜……可是在这如此发展时代中，也产生了一些负面影响。

自从汽车创造以后，汽车销量一直在上升，也产生了一些有名的牌子，如：奔驰，宝马，法拉利……在我们的生活中现在汽车已经有了不可动摇的地位，上班要车，救人要车，抓人要车，但这些给我们生活方便的使者的精神源泉确是一种稀少的液体——石油。

每1升石油被开发出来，就只是为了汽车能正常启动，所以一些国家的油井被汽车耗竭的很多，而且汽车能使石油液化，排出气体，这种气体就是我们日常所说的汽车尾气。科学分析表明，汽车尾气中含有上百种不同的化合物，其中的污染物有固体悬浮微粒、一氧化碳、二氧化碳、碳氢化合物、氮氧化合物、铅及硫氧化合物等。这种气体排放物不仅气味怪异，而且令人头昏、恶心，影响人的身体健康。英国曾经声称，每年死于空气污染的大于死于的10倍。

而且，当空气中浓度达到一定程度，会容易形成酸雨。酸雨不仅会破坏植物的正常生长，还会污染水质。我们可以想象，当一百年后，我们的后代不能吃到雪白的米饭，喝到透明的水，每天只能闻到气味怪异，使人令人头昏、恶心的气体，那么人类能正常存活吗？

树木是生命的代表，它不仅可以吸附二氧化碳和尘埃，还可以光合作用，产生氧气。据推测，最早的植物是藻类，它们制造氧气，形成臭氧，制造出生命可存的条件。空气中的氧气只有百分之二十，生命大部分的氧气有植物产生，但现在因为人类需要，大部分树木被作为了地板，纸巾，装饰品，现在不仅是人类，而且还是所有的生命受到了危险。

如今有的人已经感觉到了危险，近100年来，气候变暖已成为人类的一大祸患。冰川融化、水位上涨、厄尔尼诺现象、拉尼娜现象等都对人类的生存带来了严峻的挑战。几年以后，我们现在的马尔代夫岛将会被淹没的时候。

现在要呼吁全人类，保护我们的地球母亲，是我们每个地球人应该做的，保护地球就是保护我们自己。

I am a student from Xinhua High School in Chongqing，China。 Informed that you have a vacancy for a student to serve as the spokesman for animals， I cannot resist my inner excitement，hoping to seize the opportunity to do something for animals 。

In my mind，nothing can delight me so much as caring for animals。 Wherever I go and whatever I do， I usually keep in mind that animals are angels from the heaven， which bring us endless comfort and pleasure。 I have been a panda lover since my childhood。 Panda is so lovely that brings fun to people and they are regarded as the treasure of our country。 Unfortunately，such a rare species is now faced with the danger of being extinct。What I am eager to do is to raise people’s awareness of animal protection and appeal to more people to care for our earth companies。

昨天，我看了一则报道：上面说青海的玉树县发生了7.1级的大地震，死亡了许多的人，我想：2008年四川发生了8.0级得大地震，今年外国也有许多地方发生了大的地震，如海地和智利。

这都是人们乱砍乱伐，放肆地捕杀动物造成的结果。比如我们的母亲河—黄河，从古到今，它的奔腾不息的气势征服了每一个中华人女，而后的这几十年，谁又能想到黄河水冲走的泥土有多少呢？黄河上游的植被被大量的破坏，绿色面积减少又减少，再加上人类的大量的砍伐，稀少的动植物拴不住泥土，被水一冲，就融入滔滔黄河水中，不仅是黄河水变得浑浊不堪，而且因为大量的泥土沉积，河床抬高，造成了洪水泛滥，河水断流等等现象。今天，美丽的母亲河已经失去了它那往日的风采。

我们住这个地球太可爱了，同时又太容易受到伤害了。同学们，科学家早已经证明：在宇宙中，以地球为中心的40万年公里内，再也没有适合人类居住的第二个星球了，人类不能指望在破坏了地球后，再移居到别的星球上去了，因为我们只有一个地球。

人类啊，快点行动起来，保护我们的地球。

《旅行到宇宙边缘》是美国一部科学探索纪录片，讲述的是我们人类为了认知宇宙而做出的探索，其中有一段故事让我刻骨铭心：

在浩瀚无垠的宇宙中，无尽的黑暗和数千亿的星球中，唯有一座承载着生命的蓝色星球，这就是我们人类共同的家园 ——地球。在地球上除了蔚蓝的海洋外，还有依稀可见的绿色森林，覆盖在陆地上。正是这片绿色，稳定了地球的气候;正是这片绿色，净化了空气和水源;正是这片绿色，为我们人类提供了赖以生存的氧气!

今天，大人们之间有一个话题，是我们经常听到的话题，那就是关于“天气”的话题。我们总是能听到大人们说“天气太坏了”之类的话，感叹感叹摇摇头，只能作罢。

为什么“天气”会“太坏”了呢?

在我看过了《旅行到宇宙边缘》这部纪录片之后，联想到我国古代四大发明之一的“造纸术”，我不经意间找到了其中的一个原因。

在今天这样高度发达的现代文明社会里，那片绿色正在逐渐减少，每两秒钟，就有一片足球场大小的森林从地球上消失，只剩下不到陆地面积的 20%…… 森林面积减少的原因有很多，但可以确定的是，至少有 40% 采伐产出的木材被加工成纸张。从 20XX年开始，我国就已经成为了仅次于美国的世界第二大纸张消费国。如果中国的纸张消费水平与美国一样，中国的纸张消耗将相当于全球纸张生产量的两倍，地球上的森林恐怕会因此加快消失的步伐。到那时，我们蔚蓝的星球，迟早会成为宇宙无尽黑暗中的又一个球体罢了。

想想大人们的无奈，我倒是觉得自己还可以做些事情：从我做起，节约用纸!从我做起，保护我们美丽而又神奇的蓝色星球!

The above pictures unveil a hazard posed to wildlife due to the expanding scale of world commercial hunting. At least two fundamental factors could contribute to this phenomenon. The industry of commercial hunting have undergone a booming expansion (along with the growing public awareness of the merits of wildlife, which makes/), making hunting unusually profitable. Worse still, lacking knowledge regarding the significance of ecological balance, some people take the gun to chase animals insatiably (and thus cause a severe threat to all life in the world). Apparently, this trend will surely in turn endanger humankind in the long run.

(On no account should we turn a blind eye to such things.//All these factors above make it crucial to take drastic measures to protect the wildlife.) Accordingly, governments all over the world are supposed to unite to work out effective measures against commercial hunting. Additionally, people should be educated from childhood to cultivate the awareness that we and the rare wild animals share the same precious planet. I do believe a harmonious relationship between the wildlife and human beings is awaiting us if we make every effort to promote wildlife protection both nationally and internationally.
