森林，地球的肺，为人类带来的好处不计其数：防洪、放沙暴、过滤空气等等等等，数不胜数。可现在呢?森林正在以每分钟38公顷的速度大面积减少，没有了森林，我们的地球就好象少了一根支柱，地球就好象开始摇摇欲坠起来。

面对这样的地球，我们能怎么做?我们应该怎么做?

首先应该从根本上做起，从我们力所能及的事情做起：节约用水，争取少污染水，拒绝食用野生动物……如果说全国每个人在每次用水后都关上水龙头，那么，一天下来，我们可以省19个水缸的水。如果我们多用肥皂，少用洗洁精，有许许多多的水避免受到污染。我曾见过这样一条宣传标语：利用可再生资源—别等到能源耗竭的那一天!的确，人类目前使用的能源90%是石油、天然气和煤。这些燃料的形成过程需要亿万年，是不可再生的资源。太阳能、风能、潮汐能、地热能则是可再生的，被称为可再生能源。人们把那些不污染环境的能源称为“清洁能源”。使用清洁能源就能避免污染了。像今年国家很提倡的“支持绿色照明——人人都用节能灯”就是一个很好的例子：“中国绿色照明工程”是我国节能重点之一。按照该工程实施计划，“九五”期间全国将推广节能高效照明灯具。到2000年争取节约照明用电220亿千瓦时，并节省相应的电厂燃煤，减少二氧化硫、氮氧化物、粉尘、灰渣及二氧化碳的排放。

诸如此类，像这样的事我们还能做很多，就让我们一起为环保努力吧!

有一天，星辰妹妹来到了地球妈妈的家里。他看到了地球妈妈生病了，她亲切的问：“地球妈妈您怎么了？”地球妈妈有气无力的说：“甭提了，一言难尽啊！自从我养育了人类之后，他们简直是恩将仇报，往我身上扔垃圾，在我上上乱开采，让我千疮百孔，无法生存，这不一病就起不了床了嘛！”星辰妹妹安慰她说：“地球妈妈您不要伤心，您拿出您的威力狠狠的报复他们一下。”地球妈妈说；“你说的多轻巧啊，人类是我好不容易养育的，我怎么忍心把灾难降临到他们头上呢？”“您不妨给人类写封信，我替您传递，叫他们良心发现，不要再这样对待他们的母亲了!”星辰妹妹很诚恳的说。可是地球妈妈摇了摇头说：“无济于事啊，去年我给他们发过信，他们更加疯狂破坏我。”

可是由于月亮姐姐、星辰妹妹等加油鼓劲，地球妈妈真的发怒了。海啸、台风、沙尘暴、地震、火山爆发……一起向着人类袭来。

人类啊，醒醒吧，不要让地球妈妈太难过，不要让她太痛苦，不要让她太生气，否则，酿下的苦果还得我们自己受啊！

比如：现在很多河流都被污染了。原因有两个，第一是因为在河的附近开了工厂，每天都有大量的污水被排进河里。日复一日，年复一年。河水就被污染了。第二是因为群众往河里仍垃圾，今天一些垃圾，明天一些垃圾，河流叫苦不迭，但我们听不到呀！甚至有些人还不屑于听呢！

但是近几年通过环保部门的大力宣传，人们的环保意识略有了好转：一些人醒悟过来了，他们开始呼吁人民保护环境。于是“环保大军”开始了他们的行动：植树造林、呼吁人们保护地球同时，我们小学生也加入了“环保大军”的行列，在校响应校长的号召，做到：不乱丢、不乱涂、不乱拉、不乱吐。用自己的实际行动从点滴做起。

我们不但要自已做到，而且还得以自己的力量来提倡身边的人们不猎杀、不食用珍稀动物和受保护的动物，爱护、关心野生的动植物;植树造林，爱护我们身边的每一寸土地，每一株花草，每一棵树木。现在，我们部分地方已经做起了“分类回收循环再用”的活动项目，我们不能乱丢弃废电池、废塑料等垃圾、废物，应该要把垃圾分类投放，变废为宝，使资源循环再生、造福人类。
