Animals are our good friends. People should be friendly to them. But now, many people in China as well as in the world kill animals in order to get money. Its well known that there are many kinds of rare animals in China, such as pandas, golden monkeys and so on. Some people catch or kill them. In fact, environmental pollution is a very serious problem the whole world is facing.

it is mainly caused by the waste products released from artificial substances, industrial production and increased consumption of goods. Bedsides, the use of chemical substances in agriculture also causes environmental pollution. Look at the sky, you can see that dense smoke is being released from the high and big chimneys; those dirty and poisonous substances are flowing into the rivers that we use for drinking water and millions of tons of waste products are heaping around us.

How to change this condition?More and more countries are trying to work out some effective means to bring it under control, but no great success has been made.

现在有许多青少年都喜欢玩电脑,大部分业余时间都用在了打电脑游戏上,既伤害了眼睛又浪费了电。据说用6个小时的电脑要浪费1度电、用1个小时的空调就要浪费1.5度以上的电。如果全中国用电脑和空调的家庭都能节约使用这些电器,一年下来节约的电估计是一个大型发电厂一年的发电量了。那要节约多少煤或水等资源呀!想起来真是让人吃惊的数字。

水是地球生物赖以生存的基础,我们可以三天不吃饭,但不能三天不喝水。许多公司向长江、黄河排放大量工业废水导致严重水污染,使我们的饮用水质量下降,影响到我们人类的健康。为此,政府也采取了很多治理办法来减少水的污染。而做为国家公民也有责任和义务保护环境节约用水。我在生活中常常提醒妈妈把淘米水用来浇花,把洗衣水用来拖地,把洗脸洗脚水用来冲马桶……
