环境问题是由于人类不合理地开发和利用自然源所造成的。触目惊心的环境问题主要有大气污染、水质污染、噪声污染、食品污染、不适当开发利用自然资源这五大类。一个个铁一样的事实告诉我们，它们像恶魔般无情地吞噬着人类的生命。它威胁着生态平衡，危害着人体健康，制约着经济和社会的可持续发展，它让人类陷入了困境。

以前，天空是那么蓝，河水是那么清，森林是那么密，就在自然环境给予我们美的享受的同时，人类同样在向大自然索取并不应得的东西……

1998年，流经中国大地的长江、嫩江、松花江等大将大河，隐去往日温柔美丽的笑脸，露出了凶猛可怖的狰狞。肆虐的暴雨，横扫着中国的南方和北方，暴雨所到之处，江湖水涨，河沟漫溢。咆哮的江水卷起了一次又一次洪峰，吞噬了一个个村庄，一亩亩良田，一座座城市，一所所学校。

肆虐的洪水像一只只无情的魔爪，几千万亩良田被淹，几百万人痛失家园。来势凶猛的洪魔，酿造大大小小的险情。来势凶猛的洪魔，酿造大大小小的悲剧。

我常常看见街边有许多橘黄色的垃圾箱格外引人注目，它的出现一时方便了这一街的居民。但不知从哪天起，垃圾箱被冷落了，另旁的电线杆却颇受欢迎，电线杆下每天都会围满大大小小的垃圾袋，一天，叔叔提着一袋垃圾很随意的扔在垃圾堆中，一旁的我不禁问道：“为什么扔在这儿呢?”回答很简单：“因为大家都扔在这儿，方便。”

方便?我有些纳闷了，电视。广播。报纸不天天都在宣传保护环境，防止污染吗?这样图方便。省事，随地乱扔垃圾算不算环境污染呢?可能在这些图方便的人看来，工业排放废气。废水是污染，而小小的一袋生活垃圾算什么?要知道单就我们中国十三亿人口，每人每天都只丢一点垃圾，那一天就有十三亿点垃圾啦!那一年呢?想想看，这是多么可怕的一个数字啊!在学校附近的马路边上插上“禁止喇叭”的牌子，这些人类善良的举动已摆在眼前，但是在它们的背后却是继续污染。所以治表不治里是没有什么意义可言的，我们要的是实实在在的针对与硬措施。

有人认为环境乃小问题，实际上，随着社会的发展，时代的进步，环境问题已是一个涉及全局的战略性问题。保护环境与我们国家。社会和人民的根本利益密切相关的，它直接制约着我国经济和社会的可持续发展，关系着中华民族的世代繁荣昌盛，关系着整个人类的生存和发展。

给水以家园，给万物生灵以家园，人类才会有自己的家园;给水以活路，给万物生灵以活路，人类才会有生存和发展。让我们唤醒“绿色之心”实施“绿色计划”，开展“绿色行动”，争做“绿色建设者”，创建“绿色新世纪”吧!

Protect our environment

In the last several decades, our earth has been extremely polluted, such as air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution and so on. In recent years, the extreme weather becomes more and more frequent. Winter gets colder and summer becomes hotter and it rains more frequently. All of these warn us that protecting the environment is a serious and emergent event. As our general people, we should build proper lifestyle. We should pay attention to water and light saving. When we go out, we should firstly choose the public transportation. The most important is that we must realize that we can do a lot of things to protect our environment. There are still many problems of enviromental protection in recent years. One of the most serious problems is the serious pollution of air,water and soil. The polluted air does great harm to peoples health. The polluted water causes diseases and death. Whats more, vegetation has been greatly reduced with the rapid growth of modern cities.

To protect the environment,governments of many countries have done a lot. Legislative steps have been introduced to control air pollution, to protect the forest and sea resources and to stop any environmental pollution. Therefore, government are playing the most important role in the environmental protection today.

In my opinion , to protect environment, the goernment must take even more concrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance of environmental protection through education.Second, much more efforts should be made to put the population planning policy into practice, because more people mean more pollution.Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionalli should be severely punished. We should let them know that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.

目前环保还存在着许多问题。最严重的问题就是空气、水和土壤的严重污染。污染的空气对人类的健康十分有害。污染的水引起疼病，造成死亡。更有甚者，随着现代社会的迅速扩建，植被大大的减少。

为了保护环境，各国政府做了大量的工作。采用了立法措施控制大气污染，保护森林资源和海洋资源，制止任何环境污染。因此，在当今的环保中政府起着最重要的作用。

我的看法是，为了保护环境，政府应当采取更具体的措施。首先，应当通过教育的方法使人们充分謒到环境保护的重要性。第二，应更加努力把计划生育政策付诸实施，因为人口多就意味着污染严重。最后，要严惩那些故意破坏环境者。使他们破坏环境就是毁灭人类自己。

也许有同学认为，关心地球环境是大人们的事，或者说这是环保部门的事，与我们无关。其实，大家都知道，我们所有的人都居住在同一个地球上，都是地球村的村民，地球环境与我们每个人的生活是息息相关的。下面我以我们生活中的必需文具──纸为例，说明节约用纸、合理用纸与保护地球环境的关系。

我们每个人每天都在用纸，用各种各样的不同类型的纸。你统计过吗？你每天要用多少张纸？一星期要用多少纸？一个月乃至一年要用多少张纸？统计之后，我们会发现这一结果是非常惊人的。

一张纸从何而来？造纸的原材料主要是由树皮等植物的纤维“变”来的。一棵树往往需要长几年、几十年才能被人类利用。而人类有时却很无情，电锯声中，几十年长成的大树轰然倒地。那些木材，被运往造纸厂，变成了一张张纸。纸给人类的生活带来了许多方便，但同时，人类对纸张的过度使用也给森林资源造成了极大的不良影响。大家知道，大面积的森林可以涵养水源，防止水士流失，净化空气，森林是制造氧气的“工厂”，森林能够吸收有害物质，森林能够保持水土。可见，节约每一张纸，对保护地球环境至关重要。

我想对大家说：只要大家都多尽一份心，多出一点心力，世界就能变得更美好！就从今年世界地球日开始吧！我们从‘地球日’出发，将今天作为我们关注生态环境、养成良好行为习惯、投身生态建设的新起点！养成时时刻刻从每一桩小事做起，养成爱护、保护环境的习惯，“不随地吐痰，不乱扔纸屑，不攀折花木，不浪费粮食”，“不浪费纸张……，弯弯腰，捡起一个洁净的世界”。相信你们一定会做得更好！
