妈妈指着房子旁边的四个颜色不一的垃圾桶说：“你看，这个蓝色的是可回收垃圾的家，专门来装那些可以回收的塑料和纸质用品等;绿色的是厨余垃圾的家，只能储放果皮、剩菜剩饭等;红色的是有害垃圾的家，灰色的就是其它垃圾的家。如果每户人家都能严格按照分类去丢置垃圾，这些垃圾就会得到卫生填埋、堆肥等无害化处理，部分回收垃圾可再进行物质和能量利用。”

提起环保，似乎离我们很远，但它却时刻在我们身边。环境污染这个问题确实不容忽视。在我们日常的生活当中时常可以看到破坏环境的现象。

记得有一次，我乘公共汽车的时候，无意中看到一间小工厂源源不断地向附近的小河排出一些红色的污水，顿时间，河水被染成红色。我心想：这样的环境，河里的小鱼、小虾等动物还能生存吗?这样的水质，如果我们喝了也会生病，甚至会死亡。像这样的因工业生产所导致的环境污染并非少见，应引起有关部门的重视。

那么我们应该怎样保护环境呢?我有以下几点小建议：第一点要爱惜能源，不浪费水电资源;第二点要爱护绿化，不乱摘花草，不践踏草地，不乱砍树木;第三点不要制造太多废物，像塑料袋等应尽可能少用;第四点要懂得废物利用，没用的报纸、杂志、瓶子等应送到收购站进行废物回收;第五点要注意环境卫生，不可以随地吐痰，不能随地扔垃圾，果皮杂物应放进垃圾箱。以上的这些都是我们能够做到，并且应该做到的方法。

地球是我们的家园，我们每个人都有责任去保护它。赶快行动起来吧!

In the past, we just took it for granted that a teacher s aim was to teach the students all that he knew and solve all the problems for them. Therefore, students could mot judge things on their own under this circumstance. Thus students gradually lost the ability to learn by themselves. In addition, they were only equipped with the knowledge that were taught in class and made the same judgement upon every problem which might crop up. Of course, they would find their knowledge not enough to solve practical problems.

So it is time to change the teaching method. A teacher s goal is to help the students develop not only the ability to learn by themselves but the skills to make judgements on every aspect on their own. It s not necessary for the students to turn to teachers for help while meeting with difficulties. The first thing is to develop the students abilities to make sound judgements upon any problem and overcome difficulties.

All in all, the aim of teaching is to liberate, but mot to fetter the students innate powers of making sound judgements.

小时候，春天来了，小区里面很多树发出嫩绿的小芽包儿，妈妈说这是小树长出的新芽，等小树吸收了足够的营养，就会慢慢长成树叶、开花、结果的，如果不小心碰掉了，或是被小朋友给摘掉了，小树就长不出新叶子了。我到处观察，发现每一棵小树都有新的小芽儿，连小草都有，看到好伙伴放学回来了，我连忙去告诉他们这个消息，同时也告诉他们千万不要把小树的新芽给搞坏了，也不能摘花，那样小树就长不大了。

星期天，我和爸爸妈妈去爬山，看到很多桃花，有粉色的、红色的、白色的，可漂亮了。在照相的时候，我发现有个大姐姐为了照得漂亮，就使劲的摇树，把小花瓣儿都摇下来了，我想，那样小树该有多疼啊，而且花儿都掉完了，就再也结不出桃子来了，在妈妈的鼓励下，我勇敢地上前，对大姐姐说：“大姐姐，不要摇树了，要不然我们就没有桃子吃了。”大姐姐听了很不好意思，连忙走开了，我真开心，小树也轻轻随风摇晃，好像在对我表示感谢呢。

在家里，我也是个环保小卫士，我监督妹妹不要把垃圾乱丢，吃饭不能掉在桌上和地上，老师告诉我们，要爱护环境，不能在地球上吸烟，我就记在小脑袋里面了，回家吃完饭，看到姥爷在小房间里面吸烟，我就快快地跑过去，让他把烟扔了，还给他讲道理，在我的坚持下，姥爷已经好几天都不吸烟了，全家人都支持我，监督姥爷将禁烟进行到底。

妈妈说爱护环境是一项长期的工作，不能干两天就忘记了，我现在学会了区分可回收垃圾和不可回收垃圾，知道了花草树木都是人类的好朋友，我一定要坚持保护环境，做个合格的环保小卫士。

每当走在路上，总是看见有一些人将吃剩下的食品包装袋随手往地上一扔，或许对于他们来说，这已是司空见惯的事，可这时我便产生一个疑问，为什么他们不愿走到那近在咫尺的垃圾桶旁，将垃圾丢进去，难道只是因为嫌麻烦，或许，正是因为他们这样懒惰的心态破坏了地球花园。每天当我打开电视，总是看到这样的新闻：飓风、暴雨、暴风雪、洪涝、干旱、虫害、酷暑、森林大火、地震等灾情不期而至，全世界因干旱等原因而造成的迁移性难民预计到几亿，在我看来世界环境已日益恶化。现如今，大自然面对人类破坏终于忍无可忍，环境污染的最直接、最容易被人所感受的后果是使人类环境的质量下降，影响人类的生活质量、身体健康和生产活动。

例如城市的空气污染造成空气污浊，人们的发病率上升等等;水污染使水环境质量恶化，饮用水源的质量普遍下降，威胁人的身体健康，引起胎儿早产或畸形等等。严重的污染事件不仅带来健康问题，也造成社会问题。随着污染的加剧和人们环境意识的提高，由于污染引起

的人群纠纷和冲突逐年增加。面对这一切如果我们再作视不管，那会造成不可预估的后果。为了防治环境污染，我国相继颁布了一系列法律，指出“通过高消耗追求经济数量增长和‘先污染后治理’的传统发展模式已不再适应当今和未来发展的要求，而必须努力寻求一条人口、经济、社会、环境和资源相互协调的、既能满足当代人的需要而又不对满足后代人需求的能力构成危害的可持续发展的路”。

以“保护环境，人人有责”的态度积极参加各项环境保护活动，自觉培养保护环境的道德风尚。防治环境污染的措施很多，其中与生物科学密切相关的有利用生物净化来消除环境污染和发展绿色食品等。不仅如此，各国之间还召开许多会议，并采取一系列措施开始对这个问题进行进一步整治。环保的号召一时洒向全球。

presently, a new lifestyle called low carbon life is spreading every corner of our country. the concepts of low carbon are low energy and no waste. it is such a significant project that i can’t wait to present my ideas on how to promote it.

on the first place, a no-car day is supposed to set up every week in our school. because cars not only cause serious air pollution but also waste energy. on no-car day, neither students nor teachers are allowed to drive to school. meanwhile, just walk, jump, cycle or run. use our legs and enjoy the fun.

on the second place, we had best not use plastic bags any more. no one can stand the “white pollution”. so, it is wise to use bags which can be reused again and again.

finally, one thing that we should keep in mind: every big thing comes from the subtle. therefore, as students, we ought to turn out the lights the moment we leave, turn off the tap in time, and reuse our textbook and so on.

有一天，我做了一个梦。我来到了一条清澈见底的小河，那里的鱼虾成群结队的在我身旁游来游去，突然一只小虾游过来对我说：“你是新来的吧!我是这里的导游，请跟我来吧。”我说：“好的!”说完便跟了上去。导游说：“你看，这里的珊瑚，多漂亮呀!还有这儿，你瞧，这鱼多可爱。”我们边说边玩着。突然“啪啪啪……”我们浮到水面上居然看见了那些不像话的人们正在往河里扔垃圾呢。河水被污染了，清澈见底的小河变成了垃圾河。鱼、虾跑的跑，死的死。突然导游对我说：“你怎么还不走，这里不能呆了，否则你也会像它们一样。”突然，垃圾聚成了一个大怪物。把我给活吞了!

“啊!”我惊醒过来，原来是场梦啊!然后我在心里默默的想：我们这里可不能这样，否则我就要准备到月球去了!最后，我大声的说：“环保太重要了，我们不可以乱扔垃圾!”

One night Mr Lee was driving his wife home from work. She was a nurse in a

hospital. It was almost midnight and she was quite tired out. She soon fell

asleep. Mr Lee looked at her and smiled.

Mr Lee was a careful and experienced driver. He knew it was safer to drive

a big tree. The driver and his passenger were injured.They were badly cut by

glass from the broken windscreen.Mr Lee quickly stopped his car by the side of

the road. His wife got out of the car to help the injured. The lorry driver also

stopped to help. Mr Lee drove off to telephone the police . About twenty-five

minutes later, a police car and an ambulance arrived. The injured were carried

into the ambulance and taken to hospital.

The policemen took down details of the accident. Mr Lee and the lorry

driver told them all they could remember. The policemen thanked them for their

help. Mr and Mrs Lee got into their car and continued their journey home.
