The young man laughed. "Comparing your heart with mine, mine is perfect and yours is a mess of scars."

"But because the pieces arent exact, I have some rough edges, which I cherish, because they remind me of the love we shared.

"Sometimes I have given pieces of my heart away, and the other person hasnt returned a piece of his or her heart to me. These are the empty gouges - giving love is taking a chance.

In our daily lives, we have many choices to make, such as what to eat for supper,what clothes to wear, or what to do on weekends. In everybody’s eyes, I am a good girl, because I make the good marks in the exams and help my parents to do things. Unlike other students, who will go against their parents, I follow my parents’ words. I don’t think that to do something goes against the adults is the wise choice, but I do want to do something new. Recently, I want to cut my hair and make the short style. My mother doesnt agree with me, because she thinks a girl should have the long hair. This time, I insist on my idea. Finally, she supports me. Trying something new makes me feel happy and be myself. The short hair makes me look like a cool boy and I like this style. My friends admire me to have the courage to change my image.

Should students make friends on line? Some people say yes. The Internet

helps make many friends. Chatting on line, students can express their feelings

and opinions more freely, and even get help with their foreign language

studies.

Others, however, think students should not. They say making friends on line

is a waste of time, which should be spent more meaningfully on study. Besides,

some students, get cheated on line.

It is my opinion that students should place their study, health and safety

before other, things. As for friendship, we can readily find it in our

classmates and other people around us.

Every year on October 4th is the World Animal Day. It is proposed by the

Italian monk St Francis in 12th century. He lives in the forests of Assisi

Island for the long time, building a good relationship with the animals. So he

asks people to express thanks to the animals on October 4th. He sets a good

example for our human beings about how to deal with the relationship with

animals. In order to memorize him and what he does, we make October, 4th to be

World Animal Day. Nowadays, people from all over the world will hold various

activities to celebrate on that day. The aim of this festival is to remind

people to care for all animals and build a harmonious relationship with

them.

With the development of technology, today, our life is facilitated with all kinds information sources. We can read books on the Internet, which is much convenient than buying the books in the stores. I like to read E-books, because there are many advantages. First, I can save a lot of money. Downloading the E-books is for free, I can find all kinds of free sources. 有人说四季展现不同的风情，则是木棉。

春天，是木棉花开的日子。五片橙红色花瓣，包围着一束绵密的淡黄的花蕊。指尖一不小心接触，淡黄淡黄的颜色就会感染在你的手上。紧实而有力的花托，却成了药用的价值。

在幼时的回想盒里，一到三四月的时分，总有那么一群群光着小脚丫的孩子，在木棉树下采摘木棉。在阳光的照射下，从树上落下的木棉，在空中仍保持着原状，一路旋转而下，然后“拍”一声落到地上，孩子们力争上游地去捡起。还有一些孩子，为了想得到木棉花的愿望，拿着其他孩子的鞋子或许篮球往上抛，树下落英纷繁，一大堆没有开花的木棉果都飘落下来了，挂在树枝上的木棉花依然在枝头上敞开美丽。

夏天，木棉绿叶成荫。告别了花开期，也天然的成了木棉长叶期了。开端长的嫩绿，一却又全部加深它的魅力地点，慢慢地变成了碧绿，把原有的墨绿愈加的出现出了。

在酷热的夏天里，木棉树也成了人们纳凉说话的当地。没到夜晚，一群群拿着凳子、大扇子、手里还不忘拿着一大推瓜子的妇女们，坐在木棉树下，逐个的细数着心中的苦恼。就这样，在木棉树下也就成了妇女们的说话场所了。

秋天，秋叶萧条。树上飘落下一块块皎白的棉毛，有些棉丝缠绕着木棉树枝上，听凭秋风掠过，却怎样也飘不下来。但是飘落下的棉毛，却没有人去捡起。

秋风寒意，总牵起一阵阵伤感。从前热闹非凡的树底下，现在现已没有人在那逗留了，从前是孩子们的嬉戏地，现在现已不再归于了；从前是我的浅笑地点地，现在也就成了伤感的当地了。因为跟着全部全部的改动之下，木棉也就成了咱们幼年里的陪同者。而陪同在木棉心中的再也不是咱们这群从前在树下浅笑过的人。

冬天，木棉秃枝寒树。叶子跟着冬天的降临，渐渐地掉光了，犹如一个年迈的白叟似的。但是，它依然坚持着抵寒冬天。

尽管木棉没有梅花那么美丽，在酷寒的冬日里敞开，尽管木棉没有荷花那么出淤泥而不染，在酷热的夏天里敞开，但是，木棉你有迎候阳春自树顶端向下的延伸，春天是你花开的时节。
