Once， when I was a teenager， my father and I were standing in line to buy tickets for the circus. Finally， there was only one family between us and the ticket counter.

This family made a big impression on me. There were eight children， all probably under the age of 12. You could tell they didnt have a lot of money.

Their clothes were not expensive， but they were clean. The children were well-behaved， all of them standing in line， two-by-two behind their parents， holding hands. They were excitedly jabbering about the clowns， elephants， and other acts they would see that night.

One could sense they had never been to the circus before. It promised to be a highlight of their young lives. The father and mother were at the head of the pack， standing proud as could be.

Movie is my favorite that I always watch movies when I am free. Since I like English very much, so the English movie is my favorite, too. Among so many films I have watched, the one I like best is High School Musical. This film tells the stories about two high school juniors from rival cliques – Troy Bolton, captain of the basketball team, and Gabriella Montez, a beautiful and shy transfer student who is a hard working girl. Together, they try out for the lead parts in their high school musical. I have a cat named mimi. Its hair is as white as snow. I often play games with it. It amuses me a lot and I treat it as a little friend. Every morning, I would say goodbye to it before I go to school and mimi would wave its front-legs to me. It brings me a lot of pleasure. But it takes time and costs money to keep the cat. My parents and I spend much time taking care of it, feeding it and cleaning it. We have to clean the house from time to time, or the cat will make them dirty and smelly.

成长是痛苦的吧，毕竟摔了那么多次；成长是累的吧，毕竟深夜挑灯那么多次；成长是苦的吧，毕竟流了那么多眼泪。但我的成长因为你们痛并快乐着，正是因为你们的陪伴，这才足以让我克服重重艰难险阻。

我也曾踟蹰不前。那是一个非常迷茫的时期，总感觉我身边的人总是拿有色眼镜看我，感觉自己就是得不到认可，夜晚睡觉的时候总感觉冥冥之中有一个声音对自己说你别在坚持了，放弃吧，你根本不是读书的料。

我真的打算放弃了，可是那天之后一切都改变了。

就是那天晚上我看见爸爸腰疼到直不起来躺在床上。可他却还对妈妈说，一会儿他还要出去， 妈妈让他不要去了，可爸爸却说没有办法，女儿读书需要很多钱，不去哪里会有。

那个晚上我一夜都没有睡，我讨厌自己，为什么要那么轻易就放弃，为什么要把自己的努力付之东流，恨自己为什么没有在意一家人为自己做的一切。那时我知道为什么自己要努力了，为了自己，更是为了那些爱我并为了我而付出太多的人。

第二天当我去浇花水的时候，发现了一株我种了无数次却没有种成功的花，在阳光下竟已开出了花骨朵！我惊异地问爸爸，他说这是他之前看到我种了那么多次也没有成功过，他想帮我种种看，种了几次后，竟然奇迹般种活了一株。

这株花在我中考后应该就能开花吐露芬芳了。等到它开花后，我要把它的花瓣保存下来，制成香囊也行，书签也好，因为这是爸爸为我种的。

其实成长痛的只是过程，甜的是结果，是啊，有我的家人再苦也甜，就像爸爸为我种的花，真的很香。

东方绿舟是上海市中小学生国防教育基地，我这个“小军事迷”可是一直想着要去玩一次呢。今天，终于实现了我的小愿望。

东方绿舟占地面积很大，风景优美，景色如画。里面最吸引我的就是国防教育园了。一入园，我就直奔那按照一比一比例仿造的航空母舰。舰船的底舱是兵器博物馆，一进去，我便不由得发出“哇”的赞叹声，这里停满了各种型号的导弹发射车、装甲车以及坦克等，我细细地打量它们，真是让我大开眼界。

接着我参观了上一层的轻兵器和冷兵器展览馆。到了飞行甲板了，“哇!”我被震撼了，“真大呀!”只见上面停了许多架飞机，可惜都是只有航炮的老式飞机，连导弹都没有。正当我暗自遗憾时，咦?前面不远处那架飞机有导弹呢!我连忙跑过去跟它合了影。

从航空母舰上下来后，爸爸和我去参观了一艘2003年退役的280潜艇。潜艇上有很多设备，十分拥挤，生活条件也很差，唯一的一张桌子既是餐桌，又是手术台兼会议桌。我真佩服那些潜艇兵叔叔呢!但是越艰苦的环境往往越能锻炼人哦，据说在这艘潜艇上服役过的某支队中就有近20人成为将军，真是了不起!

之后，我们体验了水陆两栖车项目，这可是我第一次乘车过河，感觉有点特别啊!

东方绿舟真大呀，还有很多项目我没有来得及体验，只有下次再来领略这里的奇妙了。

The after-class activities in my school are colorful. Every day we play basketball, football, do rope skipping and so on. But I like the Month of Science and Technology and the Cultural Festival most. In those days, we have a chance: to show ourselves to all the students. We can invent something with some classmates. And we can act in a play or make a speech or take part in the competition of singing. I enjoy myseff in those activities.
