In other words, once we pass a certain critical point, the computers take over and there is a "complexity explosion". In a very short time thereafter, computers may exist that not only duplicate the human brain--but far surpass it.

A breeze stirs, sending over breaths of fragrance. I trace it,surprised to find several lovely small white flowers dotted on a tree. And there are even some singing birds! I am so delighted with all these tiny lives that my fatigue vanishes all of a sudden.

The sky shows its purest blue. The sun generously gives out its heat and light, shining evenly on the grass, on the trees,on the roofs of houses, on the people passing by, also on me,quietly and tenderly. There come a couple of young people,strolling leisurely. A group of students are sitting in a circle on the grass and discussing something heatedly. Some are reading English but in low voices afraid of breaking the peace of the campus. Others are lying on the lawn, having a nap, or just enjoying the sunshine as I am.

I feel I am free, free of thinking anything. In such a pleasing environment, doing anything is a great pleasure. I am fully indulged in this tranquility. If only time could stop!

I turn on the radio to enjoy some light music. Much to my disappointment, however, almost all the programs are about the war in Iraq. It is hard to believe that under the same blue sky,some people are suffering from bleeding and death of war while others are enjoying a happy life.

The sun is hidden by the clouds. After a few seconds, it shines brightly again.

Peaceful life seems to have gone, but it will come back one day, I am sure.

寒冷的冬天可能一旦来了,但是现在已经过去了。

我的自行车被偷了,我不得不每天从一个教学楼跑到另一个。

铃说上节课结束的时候,开始一个新的旅程。由于我工作的疲惫,一看到长椅上,我直走。当我坐着,鲜绿的世界立刻吸引了我的眼睛。草苗冲破土壤在枯萎的草的地方,把枯燥的灰色变成新鲜的绿色。当我抬头时,我发现那些高大的树木也穿上了新衣服。绿色,在这里和那里,无处不在!春天来了,我突然意识到。

微风激起,呼吸的香味。我跟踪它,惊讶地发现几个可爱的小白色的花朵点缀在树上。甚至有一些鸟儿在歌唱!我很高兴我所有这些微小的生命,疲劳突然消失。

天空显示最纯粹的蓝色。慷慨地给出了它的光和热,太阳发光均匀地在草地上,在树上,屋顶,路过的人,也对我,安静而温柔。有几个年轻人,悠闲地散步。一群学生坐在草地上围成一圈,讨论激烈。有些人读英语但低声害怕打破了校园的宁静。人躺在草坪上,在小憩,或者只是和我晒太阳。

我觉得我是自由的,自由的思考任何事情。在这样一个令人愉快的环境中,做任何事情都是一个很大的乐趣。我完全沉溺于这种宁静。如果时间能停!

我打开收音机享受一些轻音乐。令我失望的是,然而,几乎所有的项目是关于伊拉克战争。很难相信,在同一片蓝天之下,一些人正遭受战争流血和死亡,而另一些则享受着幸福的生活。

Every time when summer comes, I am so looking forward to summer vacation, because I can make many plans in the long vacation. Last summer, I spent a month to stay with my uncle and his family.

They live in the north. When I got there, I found the weather there was not that hot and I liked the coolness. In the daytime, my cousin and I played on the beach, because we lived near the beach. I would paint pictures and wait for the water to wash they away. Sometimes my uncle would take his boat with us. We floated on the sea and appreciated the beautiful nature.

This is the best summer for me. I wish I could have chances to spend some time with them again. I will never forget those happy days.

每当夏天来临的时候，我都很期待暑假，因为我可以在长假中制定很多计划。去年夏天，我花了一个月的时间和叔叔和他的家人住在一起。

他们住在北方。当我到达那里的时候，我发现那里的天气不是那么热，我喜欢凉爽。白天，我表妹和我在海滩上玩，因为我们住在海滩附近。我会画画，等待水把它们洗干净。有时我叔叔会带着他的船。我们漂洋过海，欣赏美丽的大自然。

对我来说，这是最好的夏天。我希望我能有机会再次和他貌度时光。我永远不会忘记那些快乐的日子。

Li Hua spent too much time playing computer games and he fell behind others. As a good friend of his, I must do something to help him.

Firstly, I think it’s very important for him to learn lessons well. He should spend most of his time on his study instead of computer games. Secondly, I must tell him that playing computer games too much is bad for his health, especially for his eyes. So he must give it up. I can play more sports with him after school. Maybe he will become more interested in sports than computer games. And then Ill ask him to concentrate more on his study. Of course, I will try my best to help him with all his subjects. I think I can do it in many fun ways and let him find much fun in studying. At the same time, Ill ask both his parents and our teachers to help him, too. If I try these, Im sure he will make great progress soon.

我喜欢玩很多种游戏，如打鸭子、捉迷藏、老鼠偷油…但我最喜欢的还是打鸭子。

打鸭子这个游戏人数不限，两个人当猎人，剩下的都当鸭子。如果鸭子被猎人射出的“子弹”打中，那么那只鸭子就进入了“鸭子天堂”，如果鸭子接住了猎人射出的“子弹”就可以多得一条命或救出一个“鸭子天堂”里的鸭子。

今天，我和几个小伙伴在一起玩打鸭子游戏。游戏开始了，我被分到了鸭子那一组，“猎人”向我发起了攻击，我一闪便躲过了，刚一转身对面的猎人又向我们发起攻击，我又一闪又躲过了，猎人又向我们射了好多次，每次我们都躲过了。这时，其他伙伴都非常谨慎，生怕被“猎人”的 “子弹”射中，而我却在那儿得意洋洋，小伙伴叫我注意猎人，我不听，结果我后面的猎人突然向我射来“子弹”，我没来得及躲闪不幸“中弹，英勇牺牲了”，我进入了“鸭子天堂”。我在“鸭子天堂”里大喊道：“快来救我﹗我被打死了﹗”。但小伙伴对我说的话无动于衷，他们肯定在想：谁叫他那么得意。我只好在“鸭子天堂”里等这场游戏的结束。

打鸭子的这个游戏让我得到了很多快乐﹗它让我懂得了要和小伙伴好好合作，否则就会被猎人的“子弹”打 “死”。
