A week before Earth Day, posters were put up around our school, calling upon us to join in the actions for a greener earth.

Our class came up with the idea to make better use of used materials. A recent survey has been conducted on whether parents feel honored about their children in Zhonghua School. What is symbolically depicted in the bar chart above is that 80% parents regard their children as pride, while, to our surprise, only 60 in every hundred students hold the same viewpoint.

Such a striking contrast is there between the two perspectives that it reveals a common phenomenon. Parents and children hold different attitudes towards the issue. From where I am standing, two reasons are responsible for the finding.

First and foremost, with the increasingly fierce competition, teenagers are prone to suffering from the sense of inferiority. What additionally frustrates the children is peer pressure from parents. Chances are that the adults are inclined to gossip and compare with other friends about the academic performance of their children.

条自己该走的路,无论是对或错,都不能没有路,这也正如希望,未必如大家所愿,但的确关乎自己的人生,我以为这存在的希望其实便是理想.

童年的理想：只是一次智力考试,无关理想本身

在我小的时候,大人们常摸着我的头亲切地问我比如长大以后要做什么之类的问题,那时的我总是挺起胸膛大声说,长大以后要当一名科学家或当一名光荣的人民解放军,之后大人们便高兴地夸我有志气.

老实说,那时的我并不确切地了解科学家或解放军究竟是怎样的一种职业,只是幼小的心灵里明白,一个想当科学家的孩子必定是个好孩子--书上不都是这样说

的.大人们也不明白,和一个世事不通的孩子讨论长远的志向是多么的不切实际.我不知道别的孩子是否和我一样,然而在我,严格说,少时是没有什么远大理想

大家好!

近日，我关注了关于中学生的劳动之争，我的主张是“形劳神不倦，吃苦趁华年”。

请允许我从我的家事谈起吧。家父是一名远近闻名的中医，他经常翻阅的一本书是泛黄的《黄帝内经》。上初中后，我粗略学了一点文言文，也试图读懂家父奉若珍宝的《黄帝内经》。但因繁体字难辨难认，我读起来未免磕磕绊绊。只约略记得其中有“心者，生之本”“肺者，气之本”之类的语句。

记得有一天，家父与他的高足共同探讨《黄帝内经》中的一个句子：“形劳而不倦。”那位叔叔认为：“既然形劳，当然就会倦。形劳而不倦，不是自相矛盾了吗?”家父解释道：“形劳而不倦，可以理解为形劳神不倦。也就是说，身体虽然劳累，但精神不觉疲倦。比如，一个老农民下地劳动了整整一天，他可能会感到很辛苦，但他的内心是舒畅的，这不就是形劳神不倦吗?”

后来，高中语文老师在课堂上讲字源，他在黑板上写出了那个繁体的“?”字。他说：“?是个会意字，上面是两个火，中间的秃宝盖代表房子，下面的力指代劳动。整个字的含义是：在房间点灯，夜间劳作。”我听着，心，一下子回到了“形劳而不倦”上。我想，劳，真是个苦中藏甘的汉字呢!

因为心里揣着这些与“劳”相关的美妙故事，我对劳动充满了天然的好感。我会在我家平房前开辟出两分田来种花种菜;我会在暑假里随表姐一道顶着烈日拔草捉虫;我会迎着闺蜜异样的眼光跟舅母苦学踩缝纫机;我会对学校清运垃圾的老人坦然喊一声“爷爷好”……

我享受劳动，我高看劳动。

在思品课上，老师说：“马克思曾说过：体力劳动是防止一切社会病毒的伟大的消毒剂!”我听了，忍不住暗自叹服点头。是的，当体力劳动被同龄人避之唯恐不及时，我庆幸来自《内经》与仓颉的珍贵提醒恰逢其时地进驻了我稚嫩的生命，这让我幸运地承继了来自远古的一脉香火，无论季节风怎样吹拂，我都能做到不摇摆、不浮燥、不庸懦、不愚钝。

“劳动一日，可得一夜安眠;勤劳一生，可得幸福长眠!”这是达·芬奇的妙语。在匆遽的一日与漫长的一生之间，惰，无时不在伺机而动，它要侵我心、撼我本;而劳，无疑是我们最初也是最后的“强心固本汤”。

在演讲结束之前，请允许我跟大家分享一个意味深长的小故事吧——

天地之间，有个寺院。一位疲惫不堪的旅人入得院内，见到一老禅师正吃力地弯腰翻晒蘑菇。那禅师已是耄耋之年，行动迟滞，咳声连连。旅人看了，不由心生恻隐，便上前去问道：“师父，您这么大岁数了，为什么还要亲自翻晒蘑菇?”老禅师闻听此言，微微一笑道：“因为，蘑菇在亲自等我。”

同学们，让我们像那个老禅师一样，在苦中藏甘的“劳”字中安妥自己的灵魂吧!让复兴中学的每一位学子都会说：形劳神不倦，吃苦趁华年!

In my opinion, the schoolwork now being assigned to high school students is

too heavy. While it is true that students need to study, they need other things

as well if they are to grow into healthy and well-rounded adults. High should be

allowed more time for play. Plying is not wasting time, as some think. It gives

them physical exercise, and also exercise their imagination. Which tends to be

stifled by too much study. Finally, the pressure put on high school students by

excessive schoolwork can cause serious stress, which is unhealthy physically and

mentally. I do not advocate the elimination of schoolwork. I do think, however,

that a reduction of the current heavy load would be beneficial to students and

to the society as a whole.
