To Live

When I read the book To Live, I know I have own a lot of happiness in this period. To Live allowed me to see the people’s suffering and hardship in old China. But the most important is the spirit that age gives to them.

To Live described Fugui’s life who lives in The Cultural Revolution and Great Leap Forward. Fugui borns in a host family, when he was young, he often went outside gambling. So that in the end he spent all the property under the trap which others had designed. At that time, he had got married with his wife Jiazhen. One day, when he went out to borrow money for looking doctors for his parents, he was caught to join the army. Almost all the soldiers had died, but he struggled to live and luckly got together with his family, when his mother had gone and his daughter Fengxia had been a dumb because of illness. His family were very happy because of his coming back. For he had not been assigned to the landlord constituents, they lived a poor and happy life. Of the past with each passing day, his little son was going to middle school, but his disaster began again. His son lost his life for saving his classmate whose father is the mayor of the town. Backlog of the pain and frustration, he and his wife as if had lost a lot and they nearly lost confidence of living. Fortunately, they have a sensible daughter, although she couldn’t talk, but she helped her parents go through the pains. Later Fengxia married to Erxi who is an honest man, but fate still made fun of this hard-working and simple girl, she died from giving birth. And then later, in the heavy blows, Fugui’s wife left him forever.

Life had lost all his family, leaving him, last remaining alive. I don’t know how I can experience his life in that age, his disease that he had to face, but I know Fugui had learnt to respect for life, be properly alive.

I was read the book which called “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer”。 This story is about a clever boy called Tom Sawyer.

Tom is a naughty boy, he doesn’t like school and he doesn’t like work and he never wants to get up in the morning. But he like playing like swimming, fishing and having adventures with his friends. In this story he and his friend have a lot of adventures. These adventures can be dangerous. One night in the graveyard he and Huck see three men. Then Tom and his friends saw a murder. Joey killed the doctor and referred to Peter. Tom and his friends exposed Joey and caught him and became hero.

I think Tom is naughty but he is sympathetic and upright, he is brave he doesn’t afraid of Joey and full of his mind are wicked idea but he is clever and optimistic, he want his friend work for him, he make a lot of funny things.

This book let me know we need to “The road sees rough, gone to bat” to face difficult things we can’t shrink back and we need to fight with them. In the same time l know if only have a dream have pursuit and should try our best to do it , we can’t give up easily .

《三国演义》里也有很多故事，其中我最喜欢的故事就是《三英战吕布》了，讲述了三英（刘备、张飞、关羽）重聚，打得吕布落花流水，落荒而逃。他们不惜一切代价都要把敌人给打垮，他们虽然遭到敌人千方百计的暗算，但他们仍然在坚持啊！读《三国演义》我不由想到《愚公移山》中的愚公。愚公为了便于人们交通，想用人力把一座大山移走。在某些人眼里看来，这是多么愚蠢的事啊！可是愚公却坚持不懈，不愿放弃。这种精神多么可贵，多么值得我们学习呀！

读《三国演义》我又不由地想起了自己，做什么事都老是半途而废。有一次我和爸爸下棋，爸爸沉着冷静，我却烦燥不安，求胜心切。棋下到一半，我终于沉不住气了，把棋盘一推，大喊；“不下了！不下了！什么破棋！”说完还踩几脚棋盘。爸爸见我这副样子，只是笑着摇着头。这件事虽然不起眼，严格来说，不也是半途而废吗？半途而废，会让人做事做到一半，功亏一篑，害处极大。我们一定要从小养成有始有终的好习惯，做一个坚持不懈的人。

Nancy a poor girl loved a bad man. She had to help Bill Sikes perpetrate because she loved him. She had to be loyal to the criminal group because she loved him. Actually she was kind. She helped Oliver at the risk of her life. If she hadn’t fell in love with Sikes she would have a happy ending.

The author showed these ugly things to us he described an ugly world. But there are more kind people in the novel.

Mr. Brownlow an old friend of Oliver’s father took good care of Oliver.

Mrs. Maylie Harry Maylie’s mother saved Oliver of his life.

Miss Rose is the aunt of Oliver in fact.

They all protect Oliver from hurt.

Oliver was unlucky to meet so many evil people but he was luckier to get help from so many kind people.

In the end of the novel all the evil people were punished. Oliver got what he should get. Rose married Harry Maylie and they lived happily. All the kind people have a happy ending.

Righteousness can always beat evil. I think this is what the author wants to tell. Although there are many ugly things in the world we must believe that righteousness can always beat evil.

We must store kindness even though we are in ugly situation. One is poor if he doesn’t have kindness. One is rich if he has kindness. So please store your kindness in your mind.

What’s more the novel also tells us to be brave. Oliver was brave enough to overcome all the problems he had met. No matter how difficult the problem is we can’t give up we must try our best to solve it.

From Oliver Twist I have learnt a lot .It’s really a good novel.

During the summer holiday, I spent much time in reading. I finished one of the four masterpieces ofChina, Journey to the West. It’s really an interesting book, telling many adventurous stories. I had watched the TV series before, but I found that the book is much interesting. Except for the adventurous experiences, we still can learn something from this book. 冰心在给《穆斯林的葬礼》写国际版的序言时，她说在读这本书之前，几乎对穆斯林一无所知。自己亲自看过之后，我深深表示赞同，我缺乏对其他民族和宗教的了解。小说大概讲述了一个北京玉器家族两代人的故事，章节交错的方式，让故事有穿越时空的感觉。讲述民国时的故事，让我想起了老北京的那些各行各业的老字号和文化;讲述北大燕园的景色，让我对北大和学生时代有些感伤;讲述避难伦敦，让我想起上个世纪的世界战争。当然，最最重要的还是主人公韩新月的命运和与楚雁潮老师之间的爱情。新月还是死了，带着遗憾走了。但是让我们明白了一个真理：爱情以及人性中美好的东西是可以超越宗教和种族的，虽然在现实中经常会被扼杀，而正因为现实的残酷，才越发觉得这些东西的珍贵。

一本厚厚的书，承载的是一段沉甸甸的感情，《穆斯林的葬礼》是一本好书，值得一看。

The Old Man and the Sea is one of Hemingways most enduring works and may very well become one of the true classics of this generation. When I heard the name of this novel, I thought it was a horror fiction. But after reading it , I find it is a interesting story.

In the novel, dead man’s island was a funny island; there was a dead man living there. The heroine---Carol Sanders started to abandon herself to taking drugs after her father’s death. Her mother took her to a new place to help her forget the past. They came to London. There her mother got a job which took them to the dead man’s island. In fact , it’s a small private island in Scotland. The owner of the island is Mr. Ross.

Everything went well. But Carol Sander found something strange: Never took photographs of Mr. Ross and there is a strange room locked.

Why did Mrs. Ross have so much money to buy a island? Why can’t take photographs of Ms. Ross? Why did Mr. Ross have a room locked?

It’s really absorbing. I want to get all the answers.
