我边摸索边想：自己以前的学习太过功利了，总以为这些课程有什么用呢？学的时候可以不用太过上心，所以没好好地努力学，只能留着现在后悔了。

但现在我明白这些道理，也许还不算晚。人的一生要做很多事情，有意义或无意义的有的事情的意义和价值不是现在立马就能显现出来的，有可能要等到几年、甚至几十年以后，我们方能体会到他们的价值。

尤其是学习，这种终身性的事情。我们万万不能急功近利，因为这样的学习才是真正的徒劳。

Today in English class I was afraid to speak out because I didnt want to be laughed at by the other students. My teacher asked me some questions and I had a hard time with the words to use. After class, my teacher told me to listen to English TV and radio programs, to not be afraid to talk to foreign people I meet on the street, and to say the English words out loud over and over until I know them well. I was so busy in the previous winter holiday for I am going to take the

university entrance exam in July this year. Everyday, I buried myself in

studying. I had to review each required subject and do lots of exercises.

Besides, because I did bad in mathematics and physics, I had to do much more

exercises than other courses, which made me discouraged. I spent more than ten

hours a day in studying. When I was tired, I watched TV or listened to music for

a little while. But It was a big pity that I couldnt go to the see cinema. In
